Lucifer's Descendant System Chapter 163

For normal Blessed Ones, the armor was very valuable, even more so for Noah, who didn't even have a basic Rank F armor. But for him, the unicorn was much more valuable than that.

Unlike the skeleton that had generated a notification for Noah, there was no notification for having killed the unicorn.

[Congratulations user for eliminating a Rank D boss, acquired exp points: 751!]

Noah tried to imagine how many exp points he would receive if he was breaking into the Fortress alone, but he knew that would not be possible for the time being.

If the skeleton was the only one that generated an exp notification for him, it meant that the unicorn had not yet died, and that was exactly what Noah wanted.

The other Blessed had already left when the portal appeared, as this meant that the Fortress had been eliminated. For them, staying there had no meaning anymore.

So as soon as everyone left, Noah teleported through the door of the room where the Bosses had entered, and took the heavy metal saddle.

If no other Blessed had found that saddle before, it probably meant that it had been covered in illusions. The reason? Noah had no idea, but he already wondered what he could do with that saddle while he went up beside the horse.

The monster had a very shallow breath, to the point that you could only notice it if you paid close attention. As before, he released a little fire with each breath, the amount of fire he released now was so low that the Blessed Ones had simply believed that he had died.

But Noah took advantage of that moment to try to pursue his plan.

The unicorn Boss didn't have a lot of willpower left, because of the large amount of small wounds he received from the Blessed Ones, but mainly by the imps. It was only a matter of time before he would die of his wounds.

Then with an evil look, Noah approached while mentally using one of the favorite skills he recently received.

This was a small part of the contract that Noah was making for the unicorn, he knew that the Boss was probably much more intelligent than normal monsters, and he would consider many more aspects than a newborn monster like Terrence. Of course, it's not like Noah was going to do anything bad for any of them, but to convince a proud Boss on the verge of death, Noah needed to offer hope and some benefits. Over time, Noah was sure the Boss would voluntarily serve him.

Even though the contract was being made mentally, Noah still needed a few minutes to formulate everything correctly, and when it was finally completed, the unicorn's breathing was much weaker than Noah imagined, causing the pentagrams to float from his hand and one to fly over to the unicorn, who opened his eyes slightly to look at it with curiosity.

Noah realized that the monster was in its last breaths, so if he accepted, Noah would have to be very quick in trying to deal with its wounds. It wouldn't do any good to have a contract with a dead unicorn.

So to prepare, Noah summoned a large fireball of and didn't even wait for the unicorn's response to start treating him.

If the unicorn was in his peak state, he would never have let another flame touch his body, since that would be practically disrespectful, like putting grease on the beautiful painting he had. But when he felt the effects that flame had, his eyes that were getting heavier by the second, suddenly became lighter and he widened them both while looking at the human who was treating him with that incredible flame.

The unicorn always believed that his flame was the superior one, after all, in this kingdom they lived in, there was no place that he could not go, no flame that could harm him, let alone someone up to challenge him, besides of course, of the skeleton, but only because of the strong armor he wore.

So feeling such a delicious flame made the unicorn very surprised. Looking around, he saw that damn goblin was standing next to this human, as if he was just waiting for his orders to do something, which surprised the unicorn even more, since he had experienced the flames that goblin's claws produced and he knew those flames didn't lose a bit to the strength of his own flames.

Curiously, the unicorn started to face the human who was taking care of him before he even accepted the contract, trying to understand who this human was and why he had become so powerful.

Time passed calmly. Little by little the unicorn's aura of fire gradually recovered and started dancing around him again.

Noah's energy was going down very fast. He had to control the ability to decrease healing properties, to have less results over time so that he could continue to heal while passively regenerating energy.

This went on until the moment the unicorn was able to breathe well, but it was still too weak to get up or do anything else. But in that time, Noah felt a mental link forming in his mind.

Surprised, he turned to the unicorn and saw that he was being looked at by the monster with legitimate curiosity.

"Hello Friend," Noah said in a calm voice.

To Noah's surprise, the unicorn responded to him through the mental link they had in a deep, deep voice, "Hello human."

Noah didn't expect the unicorn to be so smart that he could talk to him via the mental link. He knew it was impossible for the unicorn to speak, since anatomically he had no structure for it, unless he used some magical means or something he didn't know, but he was so used to Terrence that he was smart, but not yet able to talk openly as a person, that seeing the unicorn talking so naturally surprised Noah a little.

"Are you feeling better?" Noah asked him out loud.

The unicorn looked at the wounds on his body, which still hurt a lot, but at least now they were not making the situation worse, and replied, "Yes, your flames helped me a lot. I've never seen a flame as unique and powerful as this one. Where did you develop it?"

Knowing that to build a relationship of true friendship it was necessary to be sincere, Noah decided to tell the truth. But as they were under no obligation to be together, Noah just told the part of the truth that he could tell without compromising if the unicorn didn't want to continue with him in the future.

"My flames were taught to me by my master, and like him, I taught my companions." Noah said as he pointed to the imps, lying a little for not referring to the imps as his subordinates / slaves. "If you want, in the future we can try to make you learn to deal with it too," Noah said sincerely, but also without saying that if the unicorn decided to do this, he would definitely become dependent on Noah, who was the sole supplier of , and also the sole owner of the place where those flames were produced, Hell.

The unicorn looked at Noah's flame with greed and curiosity. He was stuck for so long at the peak of Rank D, just a few steps from reaching Rank C because his flames were just limited to that, no matter how much he developed himself, how much he developed his flames, he would never be able to reach Rank C and finally break free of that Fortress.

But the human in front of him had just opened a door where he could walk through and finally get rid of those "chains" that held him and limited him to that place.

With a slightly lively horse expression, despite the pain he was feeling, the unicorn nodded in agreement with what Noah said, while responding by their mental link, "I will certainly want to learn this, even if it has a price. For someone like me who has nothing left, it will hardly be something that I will not be willing to pay."

Noah realized that the unicorn revealed a little that he had seen through his explanations, knowing that Noah was hiding something, but that in the quest for power, he was still willing to accept it.

With a satisfied look, Noah looked at the new companion he received and summoned a portal by contract to place the unicorn in a protected place in hell, where he could probably recover faster, being surrounded by from there.

'This Fortress was very productive,' Noah thought as he looked at the large amount of exp points he received.
