Jason looked at the knife carefully as he remembered his past once more.

It is a rainy day and it's cold, Jason is just 10 years old and is wearing a tore down t-shirt and torn down knee lengths shorts, he is shivering as the cold wind blew through the cracks of the walls and gap between the windows and doors, the rainwater entered through the roof and cracks of the wall causing the floor to be wet.

He was alone in his house as he looked around, the water is about to cover all the dry floor present in the house, Jason sat at the corner hugging himself as he shivered from the cold, his arms and legs are thin, the ribs around his chest could be seen clearly, he doesn't have a chunk of fat in his body to help with this situation.

"I hope father won't come home today"

Little Jason said with a very timid voice, he is completely different from his future self, he has no self-confidence, he is timid and he is scared.

Too bad for him, his wish didn't come true, the door of the house was slammed open by his father, he is a tall man with wrinkled skin and white hair, even though he is not older than how he looks, due to stress and constant drinking his health was not great and the environment they are living didn't help either.

"You leach what are you doing come here"

Jason's father shouted, hearing him the timid little Jason slowly stood up and walked towards his father, he is scared to even be near this man.

"Why are you taking so long, you son of a bitch"

Jason's father shouted and slapped him hard and sent him crashing at the side of the wall, Jason got hit by the side of his head and started to bleed, he started crying as the pain on his cheek and the side of his head burned.

"Tch, you useless leech come here, at least you won't be useless from today onward, from you I will get paid a lot that will last me forever for my beer and food"

Jason is confused, he cannot keep his head straight, the pain is overtaking his hearing and he could only hear a ringing in his ears.

Jason got to his feet and tried to keep his balance but he is struggling, and he is feeling dizzy.

"What the fuck are you doing?"

Jason's father shouted again and grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the house, due to the suddenly pull Jason felt pain in his hand and his leg got bruised by the edge of the door.

Jason stopped crying, he didn't even care anymore.

Jason just limped and followed his father as rain poured over his fragile body, the blood on the side of his head couldn't be seen anymore as the rain washed it off but the wound is still visible.

"Walk fast you piece of shit"

His father constantly nagged him and called him names that no son would want to hear from their father.

Soon they arrived in front of a big shelter, Jason's legs were hurting but he ignored the pain, wiped his face of the rainwater and looked forward, he looked around and saw there was not much dirt around here, it was better than their home.

Jason wonders why his so-called father brought him here.

"What are you waiting for? get in"

His father kicked him, Jason stumbled, he looked at his father with dead eyes and started to walk towards the shelter, Jason pushed the blurry sheet blocking his path into the shelter, as he entered in he felt warm, the cold water on his body didn't feel cold anymore, his body was warming up, he looked around has saw metal being processed here, the fire under and inside the machine burnt bright, this was the first time Jason saw such big place and fire everywhere.

"You numskull keep walking"

Jason wasn't even able to look around properly before his father's voice came from behind, Jason lowered his head and walked forward, as he went past through some workers working around here, they would look at him with pity. Jason, of course, noticed this but he had no idea why they are looking at him, due to his timid nature he felt scared and lowered his head more and walked forward, soon he arrived in front of a wooden door that led to somewhere he has no idea.

His father kicked him again so he continued to walk.

Soon they arrived in a place which had a lot of big containers, Jason was curious so he started to look around and saw kids the same age as him, some younger and some older than him as well, sitting silently, some are crying, some didn't even move and just sat on a spot with no emotion in their eyes.

"Stay here, I will be back"

Jason's father said and walked into a big tent in the middle of the area.

Jason didn't answer him and looked around, he saw children just sitting on their spot just staring into nothing.

Jason was confused he didn't know where he is and why he was brought here by his father.

"Big Brother"

As Jason was looking around he felt a small tap behind his back, he turned around and saw a 6-year-old kid with brown hair looking at him with teary eyes.

"Will you play with me? No one here wants to play, I even have a wooden horse, we can share it with each other"

The small kid said as he looked at Jason and sobbed a little.

"Nobody wants to play with me, Mama said I will make many friends here but nobody talks, you will at least play with me right?"

The kid sobbed as rubbed the tears falling off his face.

Jason felt bad for this kid, he also felt hurt seeing him cry, he never had any friends back in the slum, this is the first time someone talked to him and called him big brother.

Little Jason nodded, seeing Jason nod the kid put up a big smile on his face and giggled.

"Big brother come here, I also have another doll, mama left for me here"

The kid grabbed Jason's small hands with his own tiny hands and pulled him to the side.

Jason followed him and sat down as he looked at the kid lifting his two dolls and showed it to Jason.

"This is Mr. Horsee, and this is Mrs. Twinkle, Mrs. Twinkle is a cowboy, Mrs. Twinkle is a girl but I don't know why mother said she is a cowboy, I think she should be called a cowgirl because she is a girl. Mr. Horsee and Mrs. Twinkle are best friends and they travel around the world"

The little kid said happily.

Jason just looked at this little kid, he is the only one who is smiling with his heart here, he didn't know what is going on here and he didn't care. Even Jason didn't know what is going on here but he still knows something is not good.

He felt calm looking at this little 6-year-old kid.
