He snapped out and wiped his tears.

He asked himself as he is surprised by his own reaction.
Suddenly his phone rand and he saw Jason is calling him, he looked back at the statue.
"Well whatever, something must have gotten into my eye"
He said and picked up the phone.
"Yes Brother"
"Are you there yet?"
Jason asked.
"Yes I am, I just got here, I just need to find the old man now"
Derry answered.
"Ok keep the call on, I want to listen to what he has to say and put on an earbud so I can directly talk to you"

"So your boss didn't come and sent another human to negotiate"

Derry asked

Derry said and took off the earbud from his ear and let Jason talk with this woman.
