Chapter 1347: Chapter 1347: Made Baron Lawrence's Nose Bleed Chapter 1347: Chapter 1347: Made Baron Lawrence's Nose Bleed “We use Locke's measurement method here,”
Enna Clark had only heard the man's husky and deep voice above her head when she was startled, suddenly snapped out of her focus on the data, raised her head, and only saw the man's resolute chin.
“Looking at what?” Baron Lawrence tilted her head back towards the notebook screen, pointing to a spot, “You should use Locke's measurement method here–4.887 million.”
Enna looked in the direction of his finger, then realized that he was pointing to the very spot that had stumped her a moment ago.
Baron Lawrence waited for a while but she didn't move, so he bent down himself, as if hugging her from behind, grabbed her hand to manipulate the mouse, and his slender fingertips tapped on the keyboard twice. With his operation, the spreadsheet instantly popped up with a row of data.
Enna's back was pressed against his chest; even through the fabric, her skin felt as if it was burning, unbearably hot.
The familiar scent of sandalwood mixed with mint hit her face.
This position was far too intimate, too ambiguous, and she felt uncomfortable for a moment.
However, Baron Lawrence seemed to be entirely focused on the notebook, his obsidian-like eyes staring unwaveringly at the computer. In less than three minutes, he suddenly spoke, “This is wrong. The profit percentage can't reach as high as you've estimated, it needs to be reduced by 0.3% because there is bound to be loss during the transportation.”
As he spoke, he pressed on Enna's hand, adjusting the percentage.
The data refreshed once again.
Although it was only two minor changes, the entire spreadsheet refreshed because of these two small edits.
“There's nothing else for now, pay more attention to the percentage next time. Also, remember to account for the loss percentage with the rebates at every level,”
“Okay,”
Enna realized that he was simply teaching her and had no other ideas in mind.
Thinking that she had been as tense as if she was expecting something just moments ago, her ears couldn't help but turn hot.
She was now exceedingly grateful that her back was turned to him; Baron Lawrence couldn't see the embarrassed expression on her face–otherwise, she'd really want to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.
Just as Enna took a deep breath and was slowly relaxing, a hot breath suddenly brushed over her ear, the husky male voice exploded beside her, “Enna Clark, what are you expecting?”
“Ah!”
He had suddenly leaned in closer, his breath brushing against the sensitive area of her ear. Enna's reaction was a bit exaggerated; she jolted backward.
Her elbow banged hard into something.
Then she heard a muffled groan.
Her heart tightened, and she quickly turned her head, blurting out, “Baron Lawrence, are you okay?”
She saw the imposingly handsome man holding his nose, his body slightly bent in an arch, his eyebrows deeply furrowed, his eyes blazing with fiery anger as he glared at her, clenching his teeth, “What do you think?”
Enna hadn't expected to accidentally hit his nose bridge, and seeing such a proud and graceful person in such a disheveled state, she couldn't hold back and snorted with laughter.
“Baron Lawrence, it looks like you're bleeding from the nose… I'll go get you a tissue,”
Saying so, she ran off, trying to stifle her laughter.
Luckily she ran quickly; if she had not hurried away, Baron Lawrence might have entertained the idea of strangling her.
This was the first time he had been so disheveled, and it was all thanks to her. Yet that damned woman had actually… laughed!
Dammit, was it that funny!
