Life As a Servant 21 Chapter 21 : Beggar

Furthermore, his time is running out soon so there's no need to find a girlfriend, his fate is decided and finding a lover would only make things more difficult for him.

It's not like he doesn't want to live, enjoy life, find a girlfriend and do all sorts of lovey-dovey things but he just could see things as they truly are, he's going to die and there's no point giving himself and his sister false hope, it's just better to live on and let things be, let fate take its course.

A while later, the three girls returned from the roller coaster, Cara and Jasmine had flushed face with the latter smiling brightly, even the usually indifferent Jasmine had a soft smile hanging on her peerless face, it's apparent that she enjoyed the ride.

From the time they took, it was obvious they rode the roller coaster more than one time else they would have returned much earlier. Only Melissa had the usual friendly smile as if the adventure wasn't enough to excite her.

As it was very hot today and they just did a few rounds in a roller coaster, the girls started sweating a bit, especially Cara and Jasmine, who fully enjoyed their experience.

Seeing the short-haired Cara slightly panting due to the heat, Bin thought to himself

'Ahhh wouldn't it be wonderful if you choked on that water.'

Obviously, he didn't reveal his thoughts and withdrew his glance only to see Jasmine come up to him and glare at him with a weird look.

"What?"

Bin couldn't help but say that as a few seconds passed without her uttering any word and merely glaring at him.

"What do you mean 'what', get up and let me sit. Oh, also wipe out my sweat."

Although he didn't like her tone or her as a whole person, Bin was in a middle of his job despite it being a bit strenuous due to this spoiled brat who is trying to make things difficult for him.

He silently got up from the sit and fished out an expensive handkerchief that came along the high-end servant tuxedo, as he was going to wipe out the sweat as instructed, Jasmine felt that it would be too intimate if he were to do that.

To begin with, she expected that he'll refuse or throw some excuse as usual so she became a little bit flustered, fortunately, she managed to react and snatch a handkerchief, doing the wiping herself.

Seeing this, Bin didn't react and merely stood a distance away from the sitting beauties, who were resting for a bit as it only the beginning of their adventure in the attraction park.

After chatting about uninteresting stuff, the girls went to enjoy another attraction, Rika also joined them but only for the simple ones such as the Ferris wheel.

The day passed slowly for Bin, he merely followed behind them while sometimes receiving orders from his master. His dizziness lightened up which allowed him to properly move and not feel overly fatigued.

At evening, Bin walked out of the amusement park along with the four girls, they were finally tired after spending a few hours trying everything that is in this park.

From their conversation, Bin knew that they'll go to a restaurant to have dinner before going home. They were filthy girls belonging to the third generation and they have strict parents, only a few of them dare come back late and Jasmine definitely wasn't one of them.

It was also about time for Bin to go pick up his little sister, he couldn't let her wait for him all evening nor could he let her go home alone, after all, the district they live in is very dangerous where murder and kidnapping almost daily. Even the underworld gangs weren't willing to control this territory and simply let it be, after all, it can bring them no profits and it was under the control of a few local nobles that try to squeeze every last bit of money off it before it finally crumbles.

The restaurant they decided upon was nearby so they didn't take their cars and instead, walked by foot. This was a clean district where only the rich personage could enter, however, there are some dark and gloomy alleys where lots of shady things happen.

These girls happened to pass by one, of course, they didn't enter it and merely glanced at it, their eyes held disgust as they saw the thrown trash and the pungent smells. As respected girls of their families, they aren't used to such sights, as for Bin, all the district he lives in is dirty so he didn't mind that much.

A few meters away from that alley, a thin figure was sitting on his knees with his hands stretched toward the passengers. He was a very old man with a white bird, dirty and dusty face and eyes that lucked any luster or vitality, it could be seen that he's in a miserable state.

These kinds of beggars could be seen everywhere around the city except a few places where there is strict security. This was a public place so the appearance of such beggars isn't surprising, unlike Bin's district where there are no beggars because of a simple reason.

Who could they begg to in a place where everyone is as poor as them? Which led them to come to this central part of the city hoping someone would pity them and give them a few bucks.

The girls didn't pay much attention to the old man despite his desperate look as his stared at them, he really appeared pitiful but Cara and Jasmine merely threw him a glance before bypassing him, seemingly not wanting to stare at him anymore.

"Hmpf! These filthy beggars only know how to receive without doing anything, truly shameless."

Cara snorted unhappily and exclaimed with a loud voice, loud enough for the old man to hear it, however, he showed no reaction as it was a normal thing to be berated like this and treated like trash.

Jasmine didn't comment and maintained her usual indifferent attitude, as for Melissa, she was smiling and treated the old man as air, not even sparing a glance at him.

On the other hand, Rika was glancing toward the direction of the old man, more precisely, she was looking at Bin, who stopped and squatted in front of the old man before saying a few words that she couldn't hear before handing coins to the beggar.

She wasn't interested in him but was a bit apprehensive that he'll speak about her cuts in front of her friends so she would glance at him every now and then, trying to see if he'll say something he should not say.

The four girls kept walking and Bin followed right after, he didn't notice Rika's glance as his thoughts drifted toward the old man. By no means was he a wealthy person, in fact, every bit of money he has is important and is necessary for his sister's future, however, he couldn't turn a blind eye to a beggar, much less a beggar who is such a frail old man.

It's the first time he has given money to a beggar not only because of pity but because his situation became a bit better after becoming Jasmine's servant.

He still hasn't gotten his pay, obviously, and was still short on money, but sooner or later he would receive his paycheck and would be able to afford more delicious foods for his sister so from his point of view, building a bit of good karma is never a good thing.

Furthermore, he wasn't a heartless person and knew that such an old man can't find a proper job with his physique as no one would accept him, that's how life is. At least, with the little bit of money he gave, he can allow the old man to live for another day, it's better than ignoring him or pretending hen ever existed.
