Life As a Servant 112 Chapter 112 : Melissa's Retaliation 3

The girl headed directly to the next room, where a young man was dazedly looking at the front. Only when he noticed a blond girl approach him did Bin snap out of it and shift his attention to her.

Contrary to what she expected, the youth didn't look angry or disappointed, probably because he didn't know that part of his arrest was her fault and if she intervened in time, a lot of things could have been prevented.

Just behind her was secretary Park, who glanced at Bin before dropping his head apologetically.

"How are you feeling?"

"As usual." He replied while shrugging his shoulders, however, his physical appearance betrayed his words. Melissa could see dying the bandages around his shoulders and thighs, but she didn't comment on them and just forced a wry smile.

"I could have gotten you out if not for someone's interference! Hmpf!" She angrily snorted as she looked at her secretary, who didn't dare move or raise his head. His body was slightly bent forward as if he was bowing. Bin meaningfully looked at Park Chung-Hee before saying: "It doesn't matter. You did your part of the deal and that's enough for me."

Melissa didn't how to respond so she kept her silence, her emerald eyes fixated on Bin.

After a brief period of awkward silence, he added: "Now that I'm officially your 'servant', why don't you tell me why you were so hell-bent on hiring me?"

The blond girl chuckled and replied: "It's quite simple, actually. People who need money tend to be more loyal than the rest."

"Aren't you afraid that I'll betray or double-cross you?"

"Not at all." She answered confidently.

"Why?"

"Just cuz." She shrugged her shoulders and turned her head, looking at the advanced machines all around her.

"You seem to be in a better state, want me to take you home?"

"Sure, let me change first." Albeit with some difficulty, Bin got up from the bed and grabbed the servant black suit which Park Chung-Hee brought with him then looked at Melissa. He waved his hand dismissively, clearly telling her to give him some space.

In response, Melissa giggled and left the room along with her secretary.

Two minutes later, Bin left Ann's laboratory without waking her or her sister up. Although he did become Melissa's servant, he's still also working for Jasmine. His new master only needs him to do a few miscellaneous and secretive tasks, apart from that, he's free to do whatever he wants.

Before he left the white limousine, Melissa handed him a cheque, which he hesitantly took. It seemed to be her way of apologizing and as someone who urgently needs money, there was no reason to refuse the girl's generosity.

When he took a careful look at the amount written, Bin's steps abruptly halted. The two-faced snake actually gave him 5 million won, which is by no means a small amount. Along with the 5 or 6 million wons he has saved, Bin now has a decent amount which brought him closer to his goal. Before he dies, he wants to at least leave Mina with 50 million won, it's sufficient to let her live comfortably until she reaches 18 and becomes responsible for herself.

Yes, Ann and Scarlett will continue to look for a cure but Bin has to face reality and take precautions in case the worse happens. As he entered the manor, he hid the now calm red crystal into his pocket and headed to his room, where little Mina was curled up and sleeping, her eyes and even the cushion were wet from all the tears she shed last night.

Unlike Bin, who directly went home, Melissa called more than seven people and started her retaliation against Hayden. She clearly warned him not to do anything that might ruin him but his actions last night could only be interpreted as a direct provocation. He was a congressman, a high official who has a positive public image but, in truth, like all his peers, he has done more than one dirty deeds.

Mina's father was one of the bosses of the Underworld and he even has a large company which sells advanced weaponry to the army, and the government in general. She has more than enough evidence to ruin Hayden but before she started her plan, she returned to the Villa and woke up Rika.

"What I'm about to tell you may not please you but I just wanted you to know before it happens."

Melissa spoke with a serious expression to Rika, who was still rubbing her sleepy eyes. Only when she heard her friend's words did she sober up a bit and look back at her friend.

Hearing her friend's silence, Melissa continued: "Your father has crossed the line and I cannot tolerate him anymore. You know what I mean, right?"

Rika slowly nodded her head as several questions rampaged inside of her head.

"D-did something happen?"

"He went after Bin. Not only did he arrest him but he tried to secretly kill him too. If your father is left alone, he'll try again for sure!"

Surprisingly, Melissa hid nothing from Rika. After all, the girl has the right to know the evil things her father does, moreover, unlike Cara or Jasmine, Rika is more perceptive and smarter regarding such matters.

The short-haired girl covered her opened mouth as she heard Melissa.

"Is he ok?"

"He was injured but it was nothing serious." Melissa got up and added: "Anyway, I just wanted to tell you beforehand. Even if you object, I'm not changing my mind."

She turned around to leave only to hear Rika say: "I won't object! Please send him where he belongs!"

Rika tightly clenched her fists and uttered those words. Her expression showcased how resolute she was, the things that were done to her had long since regarded that man as a strange and an animal rather than a father.

Not even three hours after their short conversation, almost all the newspapers had the same headlines. Congressman Hayden Parmalee was found guilty of Embezzlement, perjury, attempted murder, human rights violation, and so on…

The prosecution immediately got an arrest warrant for him. At 8:55AM he was taken into custody and was questioned but the congressman kept his lips sealed and patiently waited for his partner, however, as the evidence was conclusive, he is bound to be jailed very soon.
