Chapter 1295: Chapter 1294: Call the Police Chapter 1295: Chapter 1294: Call the Police Very soon, Yang Guang's phone “beeped,” and a text message came through.
He hurriedly opened it.
How comes the woman with Madam looks so familiar?
It seems he had seen her before, but since it was a profile view, it wasn't so easy to identify.
Yang Guang made a call to the driver, asking him to keep searching in that vicinity, as he would do the same on his end.
Suddenly, he frowned–this woman, he remembered her; she looked like Su Qian.
He wondered why she looked so familiar.
He looked closely again and was sure it was her because as a celebrity, she usually took great care of her appearance, and her aura was undeniable, so he couldn't be wrong.
But why would she approach Madam?
Could it be because of the spokesperson matter?
But shouldn't they be looking for Manager Zhou if that's the case?
This is bad; she wouldn't be planning to take revenge on Manager Zhou, would she?
Yang Guang suddenly became anxious, then quickly called up the manager of public relations, asking her to contact Su Qian's manager, as they had worked together before and should have her contact details.
The manager, sensing the urgency in Yang Guang's voice, did not dare to delay and immediately made contact.
However, Zhou Tong told her that Su Qian wasn't working on any projects recently and was resting at home, she hadn't been seen for the last few days.
But given the emergency, the manager still pleaded with Zhou Tong to get in touch with Su Qian to find out where she was, as there were matters requiring her attention.
Although Su Qian had lost her endorsement deal, Zhou Tong didn't want to offend the people from Zhou Corporation, as no one knew if there might be opportunities for cooperation in the future.
So Zhou Tong called Su Qian's phone, but after several attempts, no one answered.
The manager quickly reported back to Yang Guang.
Yang Guang started to get really nervous at this point, having a premonition that Madam was genuinely in trouble.
He checked the time, Manager Zhou would still be two hours away from landing.
Therefore, he contacted the shopping center's person-in-charge and also looked through the roadside surveillance cameras.
He discovered Su Qian taking Bai Lan onto a commercial vehicle, also noticing that Bai Lan was unwilling and had been coerced into it.
This confirmed it was a kidnapping.
Thus, Yang Guang decided to alert the police, as Manager Zhou was unavailable; he feared that any further delay would only worsen Bai Lan's predicament.
Yang Guang had friends in the police force, one of whom was an enthusiastic young man; so, the investigation started immediately, beginning with the vehicle's license plate. But it turned out the plate was a fake.
This lead, originally crucial, now led to a dead end. However, it was expected to be fake; kidnappers are often cunning.
Unaware of the circumstances in the countryside, Su Qian had put her phone on silent and was oblivious to what was happening outside.
The police could only follow the direction taken by the vehicle through road surveillance footage.
But at the junction leading to the rural areas, the trail went cold–there were no more cameras, yet they still had a general idea of the direction and hence sent people to scout the area.
Thank heavens, Manager Zhou had finally turned on his phone.
Yang Guang was as uneasy as an ant on a hot pot; if anything untoward happened to Madam, the consequences would be unthinkable.
As soon as Zhou Shengting disembarked from the plane and turned on his phone, intending to reassure Bai Lan, Secretary Yang's call came in.
Before he could respond, Yang Guang blurted out in a rush, “Manager Zhou, I think something has happened to Madam; she's been kidnapped.”
“What? Explain yourself clearly,” Zhou Shengting said, his heart suddenly tight, but being someone accustomed to handling big situations, he quickly composed himself.
“Today the driver was supposed to take Madam back to her mother's house. Madam ran into Su Qian at the mall, and she took Madam away. The surveillance footage shows Madam did not willingly get into the car; she was pulled onto a commercial vehicle, and now we've lost track of the vehicle. I've already reported it to the police,” Yang Guang said anxiously.
