Chapter 1293: Chapter 1292 You Are Still Too Naive Chapter 1293: Chapter 1292 You Are Still Too Naive “Alright, let's not waste any more time, but you must be careful not to take a life,” Mr. Wang still instructed.
He didn't want to attract trouble for the sake of a momentary pleasure.
Su Qian took the opportunity to sit on Mr. Wang's lap and then extended her fair and slender arms to hook around his neck, “Mr. Wang, I'm just going to scare her a little, teach her a lesson. I know my limits, don't worry.”
“Mhm, that's good, you always know what you're doing,” Mr. Wang said, and with that, he picked her up and headed to the adjacent resting room.
After being jolted around for such a long time, Bai Lan was exhausted, and thus, after she entered the room, even though she told herself to stay alert and not to sleep, she eventually dozed off.
She was woken up by the noise from Su Qian, and upon waking, she saw Su Qian standing by her bed. Her face was slightly flushed, her expression cold, and her eyes were somewhat red with anger–Bai Lan was startled.
“Madam Zhou, are you alright?” Su Qian asked indifferently.
“Miss Su, why have you brought me here?” Bai Lan asked, sitting up straight, wary as she looked at Su Qian.
Bai Lan knew it had to do with the endorsement.
Su Qian had lost her spokesperson role, and her career had plummeted. Now she was desperate.
“What can I do? This is a lesson. I asked you to plead with Zhou for me, but you didn't mention it at all, did you?” Su Qian said fiercely.
“That's the fate of those who try to brush me off.”
Bai Lan really felt that Su Qian had become very frightening. Oh my God, how had things come to this?
“Do you know that imprisoning someone is illegal? If you let me go, I can pretend this never happened,” Bai Lan said calmly.
She knew Su Qian was somewhat mad now, so she didn't dare provoke her with her words.
She guessed that Su Qian had already lost her reason.
“Heh, Madam Zhou, it seems Mr. Zhou has protected you too well, and you do not know the wickedness of human hearts. You're still too naive,” Su Qian said, her lips curling into a smirk of mockery.
Bai Lan did not speak. Right now, conserving her energy and protecting her child was what mattered most.
“Su Qian, it's just an endorsement role. Don't be too obsessed, you are talented, like gold–you will shine no matter where you are. Why would you want to go down a criminal path over this?” Bai Lan advised earnestly.
She hoped that Su Qian would not remain so stubbornly deluded.
“You needn't worry about this. You'd better worry about yourself. Of course, it will depend on my mood. You'd be wise not to irritate me; it wouldn't do you any good,” Su Qian threatened fiercely.
Bai Lan didn't want to continue communicating with her, because she knew it wouldn't help at all.
She had backed herself into a corner.
All Bai Lan could do now was pray that Zhou Shengting and the others would soon realize she was missing and start looking for her.
But Zhou Shengting was on a business trip and wouldn't be back until evening. Bai Lan suddenly felt very tired at heart.
She also felt a deep sense of despair; this was the first time she had encountered a situation like this.
Now all she could do was leave it to fate.
Su Qian was somewhat surprised to see Bai Lan sitting there so calmly. Was she really not afraid?
It was already noon, yet Zhou Shengting hadn't called even once.
Bai Lan's phone had been confiscated, so Su Qian was aware of the situation.
She was starting to get a little confused now. Did she really not have Zhou Shengting's affection?
Could it be true, as she said, that their relationship was not good?
