Chapter 1281: Chapter 1280: Coming to the Door Chapter 1281: Chapter 1280: Coming to the Door Su Qian had made all the necessary preparations before seeking out Zhou Shengting.
She was dressed in a newly launched silk slip dress by the MG brand, the hem reaching just 4 centimeters above her knees, supported solely by two slender straps. The bold pattern of the dress accentuated her fair, delicate skin, and the silk fabric clung to her frame, highlighting her shapely silhouette to full effect.
She had also carefully applied makeup, her eyebrows more delicate and her lips a tender pink.
Looking at herself in the mirror, Su Qian thought she deserved a perfect score.
She stepped into a pair of stiletto heels and donned a large pair of sunglasses before making her way to Sheng Ting Corporation.
Her figure swayed gracefully as she walked, compelling onlookers to give her a second glance.
Su Qian didn't bother greeting anyone and went straight to the elevator.
The receptionist noticed and hurried over, “Miss, hello, may I ask who you are looking for? Do you have an appointment?”
Su Qian removed her sunglasses with an air of arrogance and spoke disdainfully, “I'm here to see CEO Zhou.”
The tone in which she said it was as if it were a given.
The receptionist recognized her right away–wasn't this the big star Susie Qian?
She was the spokesperson for the company.
“My apologies, Miss Susie, but the company does have a policy that an appointment is required to meet with the CEO,” the receptionist said with some difficulty.
It wasn't that she didn't want to let her up, but the company did indeed have such a regulation. If she broke it, she could lose her job.
She couldn't take that risk.
The receptionist was unaware that Susie's spokesperson status had been revoked.
Upon hearing this, Su Qian furrowed her brows, “Can't I make an exception?”
“Sorry,” the receptionist quickly apologized.
Instantly, Su Qian was fuming with rage. Was everyone watching her downfall and laughing at her misfortune, to the point where even a mere receptionist dared to bully her? It was utterly preposterous.
“I have urgent business with CEO Zhou. If there's a delay, you'll be the one responsible,” Su Qian threatened.
Today, she was determined, she had to see Zhou Shengting no matter what it took; otherwise, everything would be ruined for her.
Seeing her predicament, the receptionist also felt uncomfortable and somewhat at a loss, “How about I check with Assistant Yang to see if the CEO is available for a meeting?”
The receptionist thought it was a good solution, but when she looked at Susie, she found her silent.
“Miss Susie, please hold on a moment, I'll go and ask for you.” As the receptionist walked away, the elevator arrived on the first floor.
Without a moment's hesitation, Su Qian stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the floor of the CEO's office.
When she arrived, the secretary pool area was unattended–it seemed that fortune was on her side.
She knocked on the door to the CEO's office, her heart growing tense at the thought of seeing Zhou Shengting soon. She involuntarily tugged at her dress and took a deep breath.
“Come in,” came Zhou Shengting's deep, magnetic voice from inside.
Gently, Su Qian pushed the door open.
Upon entering, she closed the door behind her.
With a “click,” the sound of the door finally caught Zhou Shengting's attention, and he looked up.
He thought it was his assistant, but instead, he saw Su Qian standing not far away.
His eyebrows knotted into a deep frown almost instantly.
Why was she here?
How did the people outside let her in?
“What is it?” Zhou Shengting's voice was as cold as ice chips, sending shivers down one's spine.
