“Nothing much, just wanted to see what you were up to?” Zhou Shengting also lowered his voice, feeling a bit guilty for disturbing her sleep.
“Just got back from the prenatal checkup, the baby is doing well, don't worry,” Bai Lan smiled slightly but said nothing about the conversation with Zhou Shengting's mother.
Bringing it up would only make things difficult for him. Managing a large company was already keeping him very busy; dealing with trivial household issues would be too exhausting.
“That's good, by the way, if Mom said anything unpleasant, don't mind her, tell your hubby if you feel wronged, okay?” Zhou Shengting advised as he was about to hang up.
