Legend of the Perfect Emperor Chapter 50: A Love Story

After leaving the place, Tian Yi brought Meng Xiang around to collect food again.

Collecting as in they did not eat them immediately after buying them, but store them in a storage pouch to let it stock up.

In the middle of their food run, Tian Yi silently sighed at the crowd that was looking towards his direction with dropped jaws.

He stopped walking and turned around to look at the beautiful woman behind him; it was Yu Bing and Senior Yu— they have been following him since they left the place.

"Is there something else that senior needs from me?" Tian Yi asked them.

"No…" Yu Bing said, clearly hesitant about whatever she wanted to say.

Senior Yu sighed upon seeing her act like that. Is this really the same Yu Bing? The same Yu Bing who was always cold and independent? Why does it seem like she's acting like a scared child in front of him?

Tian Yi looked straight at her beautiful face, his gaze unwavering without even the slightest sign of being charmed, and smiled. "You want this back, right?" He took off the necklace from around his neck and held it in front of her.

Yu Bing's eyes flickered at his actions, but she did not say a thing.

"You can have it back. What you did just now is enough to pay the debt that you owe." He suddenly said to her, dumbfounding her.

"N-No… something like that cannot possibly—"

Tian Yi suddenly and unexpectedly grabbed her soft hands, interrupting her in the middle of her sentence whilst giving her a scare.

The surrounding people nearly cried out loud when they saw a man grab her hands.

Somebody dared to grab Divine Grace Yu by the hand!

Tian Yi ignored the surroundings and shoved the necklace into her grasp. "The worth of your actions is determined by me, and I deem it to be enough to have this returned to you," he said to her with a smile.

Senior Yu was speechless at his actions. Yu Bing is the recognized most beautiful woman in the entire Qing Shan Continent, and this ordinary-looking young man was able to not only stare at her face without losing control but also touch her hands and still be able to keep calm? Is he really a man?

Yu Bing blushed from having her hands grabbed so suddenly, but oddly enough, she did not throw his hands away like she'd thought she would.

Tian Yi slowly released his grasp on her hand and the necklace. "Do not consume an Ice Phoenix Frozen Lotus without taking the proper measure next time, okay?" he smiled at her and turned around to continue walking.

'This is… he's good!' Senior Yu was amazed by his smoothness.

Yu Bing stood there with her gaze at Tian Yi's disappearing back, her hands tightly grasping the necklace.

'Is he really the mysterious senior? The character does not match…' Senior Yu thought.

The mysterious senior acted unrestricted and domineering as though he has total control of whatever he does, yet this young man is refined and gentle as though he came from a family of high elegance. The only two things that these two characters had in common was that both of them are shrouded in a mysterious aura.

"Are you fine with this?" Senior Yu asked Yu Bing. "He might be a handsome man behind that mask" she grinned.

Yu Bing shook her head. "That's not it." she said. "It's just that the both of us live in different worlds, and that I will most likely never be able to truly walk side to side with him."

Although Tian Yi had an ordinary-looking face, neither Yu Bing nor Senior Yu believed for one second that it was his real appearance.

Senior Yu sighed at her words. "Well, it's not like I don't understand your feelings," she said in a weird tone.

Yu Bing noticed it and looked at her. "Master…?"

Senior Yu smiled, and memories of her younger days flashed through her eyes.

"Before I adopted you and could still be considered young, I met a young man named Qiang who saved me from a beast with a cultivation base equal to a Monarch Realm expert. He was a handsome man with talent and charisma I have never seen before in any other men even to this day; it was truly captivating and beautiful. Although I have only spoken to him for a few minutes, I fell in love with him during these few minutes."

Senior Yu sighed at this point before continuing. "Before he left, the thought of wanting to follow him appeared in my thoughts. However, I felt that I was unworthy to be by his side, so I kept my mouth closed and silently watch him disappear into the clouds… I have never seen him again to this day. I wonder what he's up to right now."

Yu Bing's eyes widened from her little love story. To think her master had such a past…

When she looked to the front again, Tian Yi had disappeared into the crowd.

"It's fine. Master, really…" Yu Bing confirmed her choice. "I have already decided to live my life without a partner years ago."

"If you say so…" Senior Yu nodded. "Let's head back to the center and wait for the competition to start. We are attracting too many attention here."

"Un." Yu Bing nodded and started flying in the air. She turned to look at the direction Tian Yi disappeared to and smiled. "Thank you," she mumbled before soaring back to the center with Senior Yu.
