Legend of the Perfect Emperor Chapter 39: Jade Phoenix's Auction House

Upon entering the Jade Phoenix's Auction House, the young lady led them to a large room and served them tea as they sat down.

"What are your names, Junior Brother and Junior Sister? You can call me Elder Sister Ling!" she said.

"Shuyi is my name."

"Meng Xiang."

They introduced themselves.

"Junior Brother Shuyi and Junior Sister Xiang, huh. I see, I see." Ling nodded with approval. "Before we get into business, let's chat for a moment, shall we?"

"Un."

They nodded.

"Then… why did you join the Sacred Heaven's Temple? And what do you think about His Highness?" she asked them with a curious smile.

"I believe that the goal of the Sacred Heaven's Temple, to spread happiness across the Nine Heavens, is respectable and noble; it is something I fully support!" Tian Yi answered with a gentle smile, ignoring the part about himself.

Although he was kind of forced to join the Sacred Heaven's Temple by Caiyi, he truly believed that their goal was something he wanted to personally see happen.

For the Sacred Heaven's Temple to have their own god approve of their goals and speak so highly of them; it is something that would kill all the followers with ecstasy if they were to find out!

"Umm… I think His Highness is very generous and kind…" said Meng Xiang who was still unaware of the fact that she was also a member of this Sacred Heaven's Temple.

"I see, I see." Ling nodded up and down nonstop as she listened to their words.

"How long have you two been a member?" she asked. "For the record, I am a veteran with 4 years of following!" her face beamed with a proud smile.

Tian Yi's eyes widened. This cult of his has been existing for at least 4 years?!

He wondered why it didn't reach his ears until a few days ago, unaware of the fact that his father purposely kept that knowledge away from the Celestial Palace.

The day Tian Qiang heard of such a ridiculous cult filled with young maidens, he nearly flipped the table in envy. Where was his own cult of young maidens when he was at Tian Yi's age?!

The Heaven favored his son more than him, the current Celestial Emperor, ruler of the Heavens?! Outrageous!

"We joined only a few days ago," said Tian Yi.

"Ah, so you were both newbies, huh? That's fine, too. Our following has been expanding since day one, increasing day by day, so there should be much more new followers now than back in the days…"

Knowing that they were new members, Ling, as the senior, felt the need to help them even more.

"So, what do you wish for the Jade Phoenix's Auction House to sell for you, Junior Brother Shuyi? Despite being fellow followers, I cannot accept just anything you have as I do not have that kind of power here." Ling said with a serious expression.

As an entrance maid, there was only so much she could do with the limited power given to her.

"I understand." Tian Yi nodded. "I heard that there was a Burning Spirit Pill being sold here, so can I sell a Freezing Spirit Pill?"

Tian Yi's question caused Ling's eyes to widen with shock. "Y-You have a Freezing Spirit Pill?" she asked him while stuttering.

"I do not have one right now, but I can get one." He said with a smile.

"If you can really get your hands on a Freezing Spirit Pill, then the Jade Phoenix's Auction House will definitely sell it for you! However, as I am only the head of the entrance maids, I do not have the authority to negotiate the share. Do you mind if I go get someone who has that authority?"

Tian Yi nodded.

The Freezing Spirit Pill is similar to the Burning Spirit Pill, but instead of increasing the consumer's Yang Qi, they increase Yin Qi, perfect for most female cultivators whose Nature Qi are normally Yin Qi.

Yang Qi and Yin Qi are similar to Spirit Qi, but unlike Spirit Qi that is void of elements, they are made up of elements, benefiting those with the same elements of Spirit Veins in their body more than Spirit Qi.

Ling stood up and walked out of the room to grab someone whilst Tian Yi stayed inside the room.

The moment she walked out, he flipped his palm, and a golden flame appeared in the shape of a small ball.

Meng Xiang's eyes widened at his sudden actions, clearly puzzled of his actions.

Tian Yi gently blew the golden flames as though he was blowing out a candle, and the golden flame disappeared, replaced by a blue pill the size of a fingernail!

"Big Brother, what is that?" she asked him.

"It's the Freezing Spirit Pill." He said. "Do you want to see it?"

"Un."

Tian Yi handed her the fingernail-sized pill.

Upon touching it, Meng Xiang could feel a cool feeling on her hand, quickly spreading down her arms. There was even mist rotating around the Freezing Spirit Pill, looking as though the pill was a planet and the mist were clouds.

Tian Yi retrieved a glass bottle from inside his robes and handed it to Meng Xiang.

"Put the pill in here so it will not lose quality," he said to her.

Meng Xiang nodded and threw the pill into the bottle before handing it back to Tian Yi.

Tian Yi then sealed the top of the bottle with a piece of white paper, preventing the mist from leaving.

And right as he sealed the pill, the door opened again, and Ling walked in followed by a middle-aged woman in green robes.

"Junior Brother Shuyi, this is Senior Huo, the master of this Jade Phoenix's Auction House." Ling introduced the middle-aged lady whose beautiful face hung a stern expression.

"You're the one who has a Freezing Spirit Pill to sell?" Senior Huo was decently surprised by Tian Yi's appearance. She didn't expect a young man like him to have such a precious pill.
