Xing saw him happy and her mood got better too.

"Yes, please do... by bringing me some water", Xing chuckled while pushing her husband's disobedient hands away and tried to get down from the bed when Chenglei stopped her and went to get her water himself.

"You are glowing, my love", he said gently rubbing her earlobes as she was drinking the water and she almost choked by his words.

That came out of nowhere!

Chenglei got the cup from her hand and placed it on the table. She's been like this the past weeks... Getting hot flashes at times and other times she has odd moods. He just wanted to give up his work and sit by her side, taking care of her but she does not let him.

Seeing her lying in the bed he joined her and covered them both with a blanket. Even though the temperature was warm, it sometimes get cold at night and today it was chilly because of the rain.

Chenglei with a hiss retracted his hand but she caught it.

"Since all we hear these days are births of girls, we will have a girl too", Xing placed her hand over his hand on her abdomen. She had this feeling of delight... Some happiness she couldn't describe... She didn't feel the need to cry out of joy though.. It was all serene and calm.

'I'm pregnant... Me... And I'm talking about the gender of my child with Chenglei... Something I thought would never happen in my life...'

"If you say so... I'd like a girl", he placed his other arm below her neck so that she feels comfortable while shaking her head.

She told me it was a boy, the next day I remembered our past. She let it slip a couple times in the past three months too. And forgetting that, she'd say 'It's a girl.. It's a girl' often, as if she is convincing herself. She really wants a girl. And she thinks repeating it would change the gender of the baby, somehow.

She eats food prepared in front of her and produce from their garden. She is taking care of herself really well these days and he was happy about it. But, He was a little worried about her behaviour too.

There are many women who want to take her place in his Manor too. Even though, he had every form of security arranged, accidents still might happen.

And having a child is a big part of her plans. And she would definitely be vigilant.

Even though he understood it all, he still was worried for her.

What if something bad happened accidentally? Will she be able to handle it?

Although he didn't like the idea of letting Xinxin to meet his father,he was slightly pleased that she is willing to get out of their Manor for one reason or another.

Chenglei said it without any reservations and Little Xinxin who was shy to see a stranger, gripped Chenglei hard around his neck and let his father carry him.

"Don't scare the child", Xing spoke in a rebuking tone and sensing he really was scaring the child, Ryuga backed off.

This child maybe his nephew but his Sister-in-law made sure to tell him that every decision lies with the Divine Ruler.

"Where is he?", Xing asked Ryuga.

"By the beach", Ryuga answered knowing who she was asking about.
