Xing saw Chenglei about to throw a punch and she didn't stop him. If anyone had the right to punch death in the face it will be her man. He deserves it for torturing her in the netherworld and for leering at her, when she is Chenglei's wife.

She was not willing to send her father to the underworld just yet.

"You...", the hand pointing at Xing trembled as King Yan disappeared in a dark whisp of smoke.
Before Chenglei could assess the situation and ask her who she meant by 'us', he felt her turning alert.

A portal opened and it was the Tianshi Emperor who appeared. He looked around and realising it was her mother's grave, he understood the situation.
Before Xing even answered, she could feel another portal opening and a bunch of souls escaped through that portal.
"Are these the ones in the netherworld?", Xing asked. " Was it King Yan who opened it?"
"No!", Bai Li suddenly appeared from another portal followed by the dark one who is his brother.
"Leave lass! It is my brother....", he screamed.
The entire mountain shook as there were swarms of dark presence gushing out of the big opened portal from the netherworld and darkness spread throughout the mountain.
Birds flew away escaping the darkness and animals fled too. Xing could feel the strong killing intent emitting from those who escaped from the netherworld and the moment they touched something living, they consumed them leaving the entire mountain with a trail of blood.
Like a colony of bats, they flew in all directions devouring everything in the way. Chenglei weilded his hidden dagger to cut one of them and it passed right through the dagger, like fog making him stunned.
"Get in the house!", the Tianshi Emperor commanded her.
They had been chasing the dark one for months and now when they almost got him, somehow he managed to release everyone who were trapped with him. He had the ability to manipulate portals.
"No!", she shouted as the Wind started to pick up and their robes were fluttering heavily on the Wind.
"Get in", she pushed Chenglei towards the house and at the same time, raised a barrier to stop those dark souls from getting to the human villages.
It took a lot of energy off her and she put another strong spell around her house and pushed Chenglei who was standing there unmoving with his hands over his eyes trying to assess what's going on.
"Get in, I'll help them settle this", she told Chenglei.
Both Master Yuan and Bai Li are stronger people and if they couldn't handle this dark one for this long, then he must be strong too.
Now that the dark one is trying to hurt the humans, she knew he must have become too strong for those two to handle. She decided to lend a hand for support. She is powerful too.

The wind got stronger making her hair loosen and she saw Chenglei's worried face.
"I'll be fine. I know what to do", she added seeing him worried for her. She was feeling a bit annoyed by his reluctance to let her go.
This is my duty as a divine ruler. Why isn't he letting me do it?
"I must do it, Chenglei. People's lives are at risk", she tried to reason with him.
" Get in!", she pushed his firm chest away from her forcefully seeing him still reluctant to let go.
Why is he trying to hold me back?
As she turned, she could feel something hit the back of her head and she lost her consciousness.

That was her last thought as her view blackened.
