"We are here", he whispered in her ears and gently woke her up as they reached the path to the village. He wanted to see her surprised expression to realise where she was.

After all he was the only outsider allowed in and he never brought anyone here!

Xing walked thorough the thick trees blanketing the sky, holding his hands as she feared she'd get lost and Chenglei looked at her looking around like a little child and was pleased. But he could still see the little sadness in her eyes and she wasn't that surprised as he hoped her to be.

Don't tell me... She's been here already! Did her lover bring her here before? Is that why she is sad reminiscing?

He felt an indescribable sadness in his heart because he wanted there to be a place where he brought her to for the first time. Seems like this is not such a place. But he still had a little hope that she is sad because of something else and not because she missed her lover.
