The three women noted their men were deeply displeased but they didn't care. Their men are going to be there always but not the girls.
Xing noticed Ryuga looking so dejected and felt bad for him. But she had no regrets refusing him.
"Yukiko! Find a good girl for Ryuga to marry", she urged her sipping the expensive wine Chenglei brought for her.
"I know",Yukiko nodded. It seemed like he realised he has no chance with her anymore. It is time for him to move on.
Chenglei had no qualms to let her drink because she is in his place and the worst thing she might do if she gets drunk is acting intimate with him and he half expected her to get drunk and act that way with him. He's been holding back his urges to kiss her and push her on his bed a lot these days. He really wanted to hold this woman.

"Yukiko! Stay with me", Xing grabbed her hands and pleaded. She really didn't want to let Yukiko go. She felt like something bad will happen if she lets her go now.
"I'll find a nice place... No, you know what... just choose what kind of place you want, I'll build it for you... On the mountain... Near the river... By the seashore... Where ever you want!", Xing added.
Chenglei almost choked hearing her. Why is this looking like a proposal?
" Really? ", Yukiko felt her heart swayed. All she wanted was a peaceful life. She wanted to leave that inner palace and live in a serene place. A tiger's den would be a more safer place than that inner palace. At least she would know the tiger will attack her. The Water Emperor's face twitched with anger when he heard what Xing proposed but seeing his wife's reaction, his heart broke.
Ryuga sighed. He didn't know whose side he'll chose. Both are dear to him.

Ayane kept quiet since she agreed with Xing and she tried to help Yukiko too but she always refused. She waited to see if this time it would be different.
Chenglei was indifferent about Xing's interference but he was watching the Water Emperor like a hawk. The moment he does something against his woman he was ready to tear him to pieces.
No one can make his woman's mood go sour! She was happily drinking till now but she became displeased. How dare he?
"Yukiko!", the Water Emperor looked at the honest face caring for his wife and turned away from Xing. He felt guilty to look at those golden eyes.

Xing could feel he is being genuine but still she couldn't trust him to protect Yukiko in the future.
Xing felt like Yukiko changing her mind towards her husband and she tried to knock some sense into Yukiko but seeing her husband's tear-filled face, she couldn't refuse him.
"Let's go", he picked Yukiko up and walked towards the exit not minding anyone else.
"If I see Kei Takanashi in my kingdom once more, he will not walk out of here, I swear!", Xing's eyes were filled with malice as she stared at the leaving back of Water Emperor and as expected he paused his steps.
"You cannot kill him. If you do, there will be war!", he turned and Yukiko got down from him and stood by his side looking at the floor. It looked like she was already regretting her decision to leave with him.
Ryuga who was about to follow the Emperor paused his steps. He knew her way too well to understand that she is not threatening to kill Takanashi but she is going to do something worse to him that he'll wish for death instead.
"He wants to rule the three kingdoms", Xing raised her eyebrows expecting his tepid reaction.
"So what? He is not that smart to succeed. He need not be killed for stupidity!", he replied without breaking her expectations.
"His sister poisoned my father", Xing's sharp eyes focused in him.
" Prime Minister Huang.... ? He is fine now, isn't he?", he replied after pausing for a while. He knew that she never let those who hurt her loved ones free. And it doesn't seem like she is lying too. Why did Takano do that? Surely it has Takanashi written all over it . That fool!
"He killed Xu Mama", she added and her expression got scary and the entire place went cold.
Xing had to ask the god of fate through Mazu when she stayed there to find out about Xu Mama's death. She died thinking she had hurt her Master whom she raised from when he was a baby. Xing knew Xu Mama was like a mother to his father and she still haven't informed her father of her death. Her father is still under the impression that Xu Mama left for her village and she is peacefully living there. She knew telling him the news will break him.
