With an intent to kill, Xing held on to Chenglei to first secure him but before she could use her powers, she felt the blue dragon emerging from the sea below and it engaged in a battle with the fire phoenix.

Chenglei who had the perfect view was baffled seeing a dragon and a phoenix attacking in midair but before he could put two and two together, they ended up in some Palace surrounded by clouds and the bright white marble everywhere made it look divine.

Xing who was still held in Chenglei's arms felt his hold getting tighter as they got to this unknown place. Xing who is used to the aura of the Palace got out from his hold.

"It's fine! This is Fei Lian's Palace", she assured him and walked through the corridors holding his hand.

'She said Fei Lian, right? Fei Lian as in the "god of wind" , Fei Lian?', Chenglei was shocked. 'She also called the phoenix Zhu Rong, right? So that is the god of fire? But why is that god trying to hurt her?'

Chenglei, mouth wide open contemplating everything he saw, walked with Xing, noticing how the maids and servants there kneel in front of her and she was walking with her back straight and chin up like the owner of this palace and her eyes were fiery like she was going to burn everything to ground.

Xing who had walked these corridors enough time to remember Fei Lian's room stepped inside it, slamming the door open making Fei Lian who had prepared an entire table full of delicacies waiting for her arrival anytime sigh,

"Don't break my door, little one!", he spoke in guyu language in a tone that leaned more towards doting than being angry as it was intended.

Chenglei's grip on her hand tightened seeing the god with awe-inspiring beauty, his golden hair let down and the crystal blue eyes filled with love that contradicted the frown on his lips.

" Is this okay? ", Chenglei whispered in her ears . Why are they brought here?

Xing who was fuming in rage being interrupted from her murder plans took a deep breath realising the man beside her is stressed and put on a smile in her face, " Don't worry! I know him", she pulled a chair for Chenglei to sit.

Chenglei sat in the chair with a smile in his lips. Somehow the way she acted gage him confidence too and his fears vanished.

"Are you that willing to protect your woman's sister?", Xing banged the table, startling Chenglei and Fei Lian carefully picked the cup of tea on his hands to avoid it being spilled, while the other cup toppled over spilling the contents and the tea dripped on the white marble floor.

" You know very well I am not protecting HER. Stop being bratty and have some sweets ", he spoke in a relaxed tone and calmly sipped his tea.

Xing pouted and poured a cup of tea for Chenglei who was still a bit wary of this place and gave it to him after tasting it for any weird additives which made Fei Lian roll his eyes and then sat in her chair.

Xing did feel a bit hungry after seeing all the sweets and started eating with no shame forgetting she was enraged a moment ago.

She knew Fei Lian is right.

Right now, she is not a mortal but she is not a god either. A mortal can kill a god and can get punished but a god cannot kill another god unless there is a war. Then they'll be cursed with weird curses.That's the reason she was tasked with killing Old Rong and that is the reason she cannot kill Zhu Rong.

"Zhu Rong... Is she a stickler for your Heavenly rules?", Xing asked Fei Lian.

Fei Lian who had already started watching Zhu Rong like a hawk waiting for her to slip up, just shrugged. He is planning on digging up her past too. She cannot make this child cry anymore. He was glad that Mazu is now on his side too.

She's being too meticulous these days. She's almost crossed the threshold trying to mess with the pair of lovers but all she does is just edgy and is not over the threshold that would be punishable.

Xing understood Fei Lian is already on it and somehow got relaxed. Chenglei watching the interaction between those two, became more impressed by her.

"Here, eat this... I love it!", Xing got one of her favourite sweets to Chenglei and he gently grabbed her hand and kissed her palm all in front of Fei Lian making Xing blush.

Fei Lian on the other hand had a pleased smile in his lips watching the two getting along.

"Mazu wants to take you to visit her palace", Fei Lian looked at Xing with expectations. She'd been nagging him for the past year to ask this child on her behalf to visit her palace.

"No!", Xing said bluntly. She still wasn't willing to forgive that god even though she's been trying to apologise for the past three years.

If Mazu didn't interfere, my Prince wouldn't have forgotten me!

"Little one! Do it as a favour for me... She really is not that bad and she regrets what she did to you. All she wants is to take you to her palace and have a nice talk with you and show you around . " Fei Lian! Don't try hard to sell your woman to me. I don't care! ", Xing stood up to leave and Chenglei followed.

Xing walked with Chenglei near the door and left him there and ran back to the table and picked up some sweets for future consumption. At least that's what she made it look like for Chenri who stood there shaking his head seeing her childish behaviour.

"Fei Lian, if anyone tries to touch him or something happens to him, I won't care for anything! Him forgetting me is the worst thing I can accept. Anymore than that... ", she spoke in a low voice in the guyu language with her eyes fixed and burning with rage making Fei Lian smile with excitement.

Glad that she is back! He was happy that Mazu became how she used to be in the past.

" Did you ask her to visit my palace? I readied the Everlasting Kindness courtyard in my palace for her stay. It is right next to my...", Mazu paused seeing Fei Lian's expression sadden.

"She...refused? How come only you get to have her in your palace... ",she asked and her smile froze as her expression turned sombre. "It's fine! You tried...", she tried to console Fei Lian while consoling herself. She could understand why that child refused.

"Mazu... She... I'll try once again", Fei Lian held her hand. He didn't know how he could help her.

Mazu sat staring at the floor for a while contemplating and then she stood up with a beaming smile in her face.

"Never mind! I figured it out! ", she was grinning, "I'll leave", she swirled with her teal coloured robes fluttering in the wind making a beautiful sight and her grin made Fei Lian wonder what she had planned.

"If you try to force her, she'd only hate you more", he advised but the goddess who left with a skip in her steps seemed to have not listened to it.

Women! Fei Lian sighed. Why is that no one listens!

Xing and Chenglei reached the beach in the Jin Manor immediately and Chenglei who was too overwhelmed by her behaviour towards the gods and the fluency of her guyu language stared at her for a minute.

Well, I still want her as my wife no matter who she is or how powerful she is!

The sun was already at the horizon and Chenglei held her hand and both of them walked along the shores, with the waves kissing their feet for a while silently enjoying each others company.

Xing asked to leave for the Ming Manor but Chenglei insisted her to stay in his Manor for the night and he took on a tour if his Manor.

There were some gardens and a lot of open spaces for building more courtyards. For now the construction of only one courtyard is completed and Chenglei asked her to stay there. He had already asked for her clothes to be brought from the Ming Manor and Xing couldn't find anymore reason to refuse his invitation to stay there.

She entered the courtyard that was yet to be named and her heart filled with emotions. The entire pathway was paced with flowery stone designs and there was a garden of peonies in one side and other mild smelling good looking flowers too. There was a swing hanging in a tree with a stone bench nearby.

But she was more touched as she entered the the

room of the courtyard. There was a big canopy bed in one room with blue and purple theme dominating. It gave an imposing look but it had a cozy felling. There was another room that wa the study for the lady and another room as the study of the Lord. Xing tried to get in his study but he stopped her that made her more curious.

There was a big bath with a big bathtub in the center. The bathtub resembled the same as the one she had in the Heavenly Flowers Palace.

My Prince sure built the Manor for me!

Xing was ecstatic.
