"Such insolence", he mumbled not knowing how his each word and action is butchering the heart of the one he swore to protect and held close to him even when the heavens stood against them and he walked away from her. For him, she looked no different than any other woman who'd try to get a man by any means necessary.
Xing looked at the gloomy skies outside and didn't know what happened but there seemed to be heavy winds outside showing her mood. She didn't even knew her mood is the one affecting the weather.
"How are you feeling? ", Zhu Rong smirked at Xing who was on her knees but Xing did not have the mood to listen to her provocation and she tried to stand up but her legs gave out.
Xing felt like her heart was being ripped out from her and there were endless tears flowing from her eyes. She pushed herself to stand up but tripped in her robes and fell face first in the floor but Chenglei didn't even looked at her. He would have caught her if it was before... But she didn't mind that... All she had in her mind was to get to Chenglei.
If he looks me in the eye, he'll remember me! If he hears my voice, he'll remember my love. I could hear his voice even in the Netherworld. He'd be able to remember me too!
Haru and the Emperor standing by the side felt the need to stop her but they were too shocked to move. Who'd have thought the proud and arrogant woman they've ever came in contact with would go behind someone like a loafer begging for a single coin, forgetting her bearing and not minding the eyes that are watching her?
The Tianshi Emperor tried to attack Zhu Rong but was pulled back by Bai Li and he forcefully dragged him away from there and he disappeared to his demon realm with the Tianshi Emperor. If he kills Zhu Rong, she'd be the one getting affected by the repercussions from the heavens.
Xing who tripped, used her hands to push herself further and finally she could get closer to him when he thought of something and turned. He passed the pitiful looking Xing as if she was air and got near Shihong who looked burnt with the lightning that hit him and stood there for an entire minute in deep thoughts.
Then as if he didn't get the answers he was looking for, he shook his head and suddenly turned at his brother standing there in his deep thoughts.
"Junjie, there are some men colluding against you who are staying in the Heavenly Flowers Palace. Let me find a way to get them arrested. Send some men there and then... ",he started giving plans and Xing crawled near his feet as she couldn't walk. Her entire body was trembling in shivers. She looked dishevelled and pitiful - a complete opposite of her usual haughty demeanour.
Chenglei sensed Xing by her feet and he moved further away from her when Lin Mubai came to report. The first thing he noticed was the pitiful being by his brother Wolf's feet.
"Sister-in-law!", he murmured and get to her to lift her up but the voice that only emitted coldness uttered, "Have you gotten brazen enough to not notice the Emperor first? Greet him!"
Lin Mubai got out of his stupor and greeted the Emperor who was perplexed as he is and his eyes still darted to his sister-in-law crawling towards his brother's feet.
What a terrible sight!
Lin Mubai's face paled wondering what might have happened for his brother to be this angry at his sister-in-law. But why is sister-in-law on her knees? Brother wolf hates begging... Does she not know that?
"Lin Mubai!", Chenglei shouted at his subordinate who was pitying the woman by his feet.
Who is she? Why is everyone pitying her?
"Ah, yes, brother Wolf!", Lin Mubai then explained how the men in the Heavenly Flowers Palace are all arrested already and the threats to the throne are all eliminated already.
"Good then!", his authoritative voice echoed in the damaged room and he turned to leave as the last rays of sun shone on him. Xing who was by his feet staring at the floor held on to his feet when he was about to leave.
When he talked to his brother calling him by his name and also Lin Mubai all she could feel was an urge to scream. Her sobs have now turned to hiccups and no one dared to get near her to comfort her fearing she might blow up.
He only forgot me! He only forgot me! Why? What did I do?
She could not stand up and she didn't want him to leave and she hugged his legs tightly.
"Chenglei, please remember me! How can you not know who I am? I am Your Xing... Your moon! Please. Please try and remember... Please...Chenglei... Don't leave me... I have nothing else but you... If you leave me, what am I...? Nothing... I'm nothing without you! Please... ", with her broken voice she tried hard to speak amidst her hiccups and crying pleaded with him.
She didn't mind she was in her knees... She didn't mind she was pleading... She didn't mind the sneers of Zhu Rong... She just wanted him to look at her... She knew his heart will definitely remember her if he sees her tear filled face. He never could handle her tears. Now should be no exception, right?
" Tsk! Who let such deranged woman in here! ", Chenglei clicked his tongue and Xing buried her head in his legs refusing to look at him. She didn't have the guts to look at his indifferent and cold expression at her.
Chenglei on the other hand, disgusted by the woman holding onto him, tried to get out of her grip but she didn't let him go. So he tried to walk away and Xing was still holding on to his leg and she got dragged on the floor by the forceful pull of Chenglei.
"Let go!", Chenglei gritted his teeth as he could not get free of the one holding into him and he wanted to pull her by the hair to get rid of her. He felt some indescribable feeling in his heart and he could not understand what it is but he just wanted to get rid of her for good. The one holding onto him like a leech irked him. Since everything is going out of his control, he pulled out the dagger again to stab her hands to let her lose her grip on him.
The Emperor and Haru who were watching the happenings in front of them could not hold back any longer. It is one thing watching her demeaning herself in front of him but him trying to actually hurt her?
They knew Cheglei would stab her if they didn't stop him. He never cared if they are male or female if he wanted to hurt them. On other hand, she had never seen the Chenglei who'd kill with no second thoughts.
If it was some time before, they wouldn't have believed he'd hurt Xing.
But Now... She is no different than any other woman in his eyes. So he will hurt her with no regrets.
In fact they thought maybe her begging will help in getting his memory back but that didn't happen. But since it is escalated this far, they could not help but interfere.
Zhu Rong left as if she has witnessed what she wanted to, with a smile in her face. And Fei Lina was held in the heavens by the Heavenly Emperor. That was an elaborate plan by Zhu Rong and Mazu with Mazu bringing her here and making him believe she died and just when he lost hope, Zhu Rong as a saviour offered him a deal and he fell for their trap.
This is allowed since they are in trial for their love and no one can overthrow this, other than the two of them themselves.
