But Xing wasn't worried because the same thing happened when she searched for Seiren and she recovered pretty soon too.

"My Prince! It is over!" she said with a smile and he placed his broad bony hand on her cheek and smiled. Both of them still could not believe that everything is over.

As she spoke, she felt her throat getting dry and she turned to the side and coughed with Chenglei patting her back to sooth her. Suddenly, a small part of a roof tile slipped from the slightly damaged roof and fell on her back,exactly above the mark Fei Lian made in her.

Chenglei watched the sudden descent of the tile and before he could react, the tile fell right over her heart on her back. The mark that sis protecting her till now!

And Chenglei felt his heart sinking to the abyss as he felt Xing in his hands slumping towards the ground as if she'd lost her consciousness or...

Chenglei checked everywhere but he could not see any place she was hurt. He felt the coldness from her body entering him. He had no guts to check her pulse and confirm.

He controlled his frantically beating heart and gently callef her "Xing!"

But there was no response from her and he gathered all his courage to slightly nudge her clothes covering her back and there it was...
