Xing had prepared her heart and honed her skills to face Shihong and Old Rong properly and eradicate them in the past days. Xing snorted as she remembered she has made a promise with the Tianshi Emperor that she'll be the one killing him. And she will have to do that if he comes to collect his debt. Isn't killing one's ancestor a great sin too?

Maya who was still kneeling, accepted the sword with both of her hands. Little did they knew that in a couple of years, she'd be welding this sword leading the Zhong army against the Sky army led by her sister and that would become one of the glorious battle Xing had witnessed.

The next day, the ceremony was held and in the platform meant to conduct these ceremonies was decorated with lanterns and flowers.

The Emperor and the Empress with their golden robes fluttering in the gentle wind entered the ceremonial venue with Mo Chen walking by their side adding to their resplendance and the priestess started the ceremony.

"The time has come!", Priestess Shu murmured to Xing, "Your time to end it all!"

Xing had a soft smile in her lips. She was expecting this.

As usual during the ceremony there were symbols in the sky of that of the dragon and a tiger making Xing roll her eyes. The gods cannot keep away!

After the prayers were finished, a gentle shower fell from the Sky signalling the acceptance of their prayers and everybody went to the Imperial Court for proper greeting of the Emperor.

As usual, the Emperor and Empress were seated on the Dragon Throne and the other concubines were in other seats. All the officials came one by one and said their greetings to the Emperor and the Empress. Everyone wrote poems about the beauty and the valiance of the Emperor and the Empress.

AoTian looked at his daughter sitting high above and his eyes could not hide the pride he felt.

In the middle of it, Xing received a letter and her face became sombre.

So it begins!

"I'll be leaving, Kouki!", Xing whispered to the Emperor who was shocked by her sudden declaration.

But she had a calm and composed face with her eyes burning with the determination she had and she stood up stunning the entire court.

Even though she loved him too, this is where he will live. And he will only be the only person who won't betray the Emperor no matter what. He'll need him more!

Xing got down the stairs when she noticed AoTian worried for her and turned to get near her father , " It is nothing father, I feel a bit tired. I will be in my courtyard taking rest! ", she lied through her teeth.

Her brother by her father's side felt something weird the way she is acting too but before he said anything, Xing turned at him, "Brother, make sure to keep father from going ballistic. I'll be back soon. And daddy, I love you! You too brother! ", she said with a smile and in a slightly casual time helping those two men of her family calm their heart.

She then remembered her entering the Court during the coronation. Back then Minister Sheng opposed her and now he is one of the few regulars who drank her tea in her father's office.

Everyone's eyes were fixed on the one with a transcendent beauty with the golden hair and the golden eyes now in a golden robes that made her look more majestic,waving the court she ruled for the past six months as the Empress.

No one would have guessed that this would be the last time they will be seeing the Empress Huang! Would they've let them go if they knew...?
