Shengli was crying out her name for a long time but he didn't get any response but he saw her eyes moving even though they were closed as if she was dreaming. He saw a small drop of tear in her eye and he realised she could hear him.

Shengli's spirit got lifted knowing she could hear him. He sat leaning on the bed and made her rest on him and after she was comfortable enough, he asked her to come back to him and when she still didn't respond, he realised that his girl is having stupid thoughts and chided her.

She is his! How dare she feel insecure and doubt his love! She needs to be punished once she gets back.

All of Shengli's fears were gone when he realised that she could hear him and the turbulence in his heart went away. He knew in his heart that She definitely will come back. This silly girl thinks of him as the sky and she'll always run to him if he calls for her where ever she is!

Shengli was eagerly waiting for her to open her eyes and he was leaning by her side, holding her cheeks. He asked Xu mama who was sent by AoTian to take care of Xing to go prepare something for her to eat.

Xu mama who was advised by her master to not leave her young miss' side didn't know what to do but she obeyed young master Shengli and went to get food for her young miss.

The whole thing was weird for Xu mama. Her young miss who was in love with young master Shengli entered the inner palace one day and she is now on the Dragon bed with young master Shengli with the Emperor arranging for them to have privacy. Only she is allowed in and out of the Chao Long Courtyard. It also seemed like her master was not aware of what's going on too. But Xu mama decided to not ask any questions and follow all orders as it is best for her.

Xing who had seen the light opened her eyes in the human realm and the first thing she noticed was the smell of blossoms.

Xing squinted her eyes to have a good look at the person in front her and she was not disappointed. It really is him!

But before she could say anything, she was held in a bone crushing hug.

"You came back to me, my love!", he whispered in her ears and Xing took in his scent as much as she can.

Finally! Finally! I'm back where I belong... In his arms...

Xing was exhilarated that she was able to meet him again and she wrapped her hands around his waist and his hold on her tightened too.

"I did", she said and she could feel her chest tightening because of his hug and she tried to pry herself away but he was still holding her closely. His warm breath tickled her ears but for now she was in no mood for that as she could not breath.

Xing punched his back in an attempt to get his grip loosen, "Don't send me back there", she tried to push him back.

Only then, his grip loosened and he held her cheeks in his hands and looked her in the eyes. He seemed like he was looking for words to say to her but it seemed like he couldn't find the words and so he hugged her back and this time gently.

Xing ended up snuggled in his embrace and his warm and gentle hug made her serene. All the troubles and the struggles She had gone through recently, dissipated slowly and she leaned on him and listened to his heartbeat as usual. His heartbeat had this unusual ability to calm her always.

Suddenly Xing felt that shooting pain in her stomach and she grabbed his clothes in her hands and tugged it. Sweat formed on her forehead and she let out a grunt. Xing knew of this pain but this time it was worse and she felt a bit scared of it.

"What?", he asked holding her shoulders with his eyebrows knitted and his face looked really troubled.

"My stomach...", she winced. It was really hurting bad and she could not bear it.

Shengli held her close to his heart, "Xu mama!", he screamed, "Bring the food and medicines"

Xing still didn't know how or why Xu mama was here but her presence eased her mind a bit. Familiarity gave her some assurance.

Xu mama gave her a bowl of porridge and Xing didn't even have the energy to hold the bowl and so Shengli fed her the porridge carefully.

Xing could not eat much as she felt the pain was severe and she could sense Shengli feeling helpless and he was clearly worried. He wiped her face with a wet towel and urged her to eat at least a little so that the medicines will take effect.

After Xing forced herself to eat something, she was made to drink some medicines and Xing still could not stand up and lied immediately on the bed hugging her knees in a fetal position.

"What's wrong with me? Why does my stomach hurt this much, Xu mama? ", she asked and she could feel Shengli's hands caressing her head freeze.

"Young Miss, The physician said that since you didn't get your monthlies for a long time this time it will hurt and prescribed these medicines. Please bear with it, young miss ", Xu mama told Xing what she was told. But Xu mama could feel the cold aura emanating from Shengli and she felt like she is missing a big piece of information. This young master only looks like that when her young miss is suffering.

Xing didn't notice Shengli's reaction as she was in great pain and she held her stomach and wriggled her toes as somehow it soothed her pain. She knew she didn't get her monthlies for a long time and what Xu mama said made sense. She wondered from when it was... It was even before Shengli went to meet Shihong... Shengli signalled Xu mama to get out and she went out the bed chambers to see the Emperor getting ready for the New year's banquet and stood guard so that no one would get to her young miss.

Xing was curled up in the bed looking at the wall and Shengli took a deep breath. She was even softly moaning in pain.

I'm sorry.... I'm sorry, Xing! I'm sorry you had to suffer all this... I'm sorry I'm lying to you... But this truth will never see the light!

Shengli's heart was broken that after revealing everything about him to her, he still has to keep another secret from her. But this is the best way. This girl will return back to the underworld of she knows of this truth.

Shengli lied close to her and placed her head on his right arm and placed his left hand above her tummy and gently rubbed it.

"Does it hurt too much?", he asked.

"Mmm", she sniffed her nose and Shengli felt like he's drowning.

Shengli hugged her close and placed his cheek on hers and gently whispered, "The medicines are for pain. Just bear it for a while and soon it will reduce", he said and he hadn't stopped rubbing her belly.

"Hmm", Xing nodded and through the pain, the warmth from his body made her feel protected and before she knew it she slipped to sleep.
