Seiren was perching on the windowsill of his father's study with roasted peanuts on his side and fanning himself. Everytime Xing visited his father, he had good entertainment and today was no exception.

Today too, after watching her beat his men, his father drank the tea she made and told her to ask him whatever she wants. And she asked a stupid thing. She could have asked him his wine collections and he'd have gladly given it to her but no, she asked him to accept Huang MingXue as his daughter-in-law.

Did she meant what I thought she meant? Seiren wondered.

Lord Zhong rubbed his temples. His time here will be soon over. He is blessed to have two sons who are not going behind each others back to take the title of the next head of the family. His younger son is under the notion that his elder brother will be the next head of the family. But is he competent enough to run the family?

It was pretty clear in the last problem that the second son is better in finding the proper solution. His elder son as that brat mentioned, is good at military tactics and physical fighting and not much in these mental battles... The woman he chose is not the sharpest tool in the shed. But refusing her adamantly might result in negative results too.

That evening, Xing was as usual helping her brother finish his work. They were in their father's study and the entire room was quiet.

Suddenly Xing felt a sharp pain in her chest, like her heart was plucked out from her body. She fell on her knees on the floor from the chair and started vomiting.

Rijun immediately got her and helped her up and Xu Mama gave her warm water to clean up and drink. She was shivering and everyone was sad to look at her pale face like she was in deep agony.

"Mingxia! What is it?", Rijun asked patting her back.

"Chenglie.... He is gone.. Brother, what should I do?", Xing said with tears filling her eyes. Her lips were trembling and she was sitting hugging herself as if she's holding herself up.

"What?", Rijun froze. What is she saying suddenly? Gone..?

"Didn't he leave three days back. He'll come back...."

"No", Xing was gently rocking herself and spoke in a nasal tone, " He's gone... He disappeared...", she hugged her knees and sat in the chair in a fetal position making Rijun feel despaired.

Wasn't she fine a moment ago? What's with this suddenly?

"I'll go find him", she stood up suddenly but vomited again and only the water she drank previously came out.

Rijun was scared to see her like this, "Mingxia!", he cried, "Get a hold of yourself! And Xu mama, call for the doctor and inform father ", Rijun grabbed her shoulders and brought her to her courtyard and made her sit on her bed.

"Sister, tell me what this is about", Rijun spoke in a coaxing tone, "What do you mean by he disappeared. I cannot understand"

"He... He's hidden... I'll know usually... Now... Now I don't.. He disappeared ", she was staring blankly at the floor and she seemed to be holding her breath.

Is she having fever? Rijun placed the back of his hand over her forehead to check her temperature and she was cold! What is going on?

Is she meaning to say that she'd feel his presence somehow even when they are apart and now she cannot feel it anymore? If so what happened to Shengli?, Rijun got worried.

Just then Lin Mubai came in and gave her Shengli's letter and she got it and read it immediately. It was the usual letter and Xing placed it on the side.

"Bring me Paper and brush", she shouted and walked towards her table. Rijun helped her grind the ink and he could see her hands shaking uncontrollably and he got the brush from her hands,

"I'll write for you", he said and she dictated the letter to Rijun. The letter was addressed to Lady Shaoyao to ask for her help in finding Shengli using the demon race guards who are good at tracking from the Heavenly Flowers Palace.

As she was dictating the letter, their household physician came in to check her and she pushed him away, "Leave me alone!", she shouted.

AoTian who entered her room just then saw her acting like this and talked to Lin Mubai about Shengli's whereabouts.

Lin Mubai told AoTian that they follow a relay system to deliver the letter to avoid getting a tail. He agreed to pass information to get information about Shengli's whereabouts immediately. He was not worried as he's used to Shengli leaving for work and sometimes he couldn't be contacted for days but he'll always be fine. She knows it too but why is sister-in-law acting like this now?

AoTian saw Xing not letting the physician take her pulse and pushing him off and felt heartbroken.

"Mingxia!" he shouted, "Let the physician take a look at you"

Her father's shout seemed to break Xing's trance and she obediently gave her wrists to the Physician to take the pulse.

"Young Miss is extremely stressed. She'll have to take good rest to be better", the physician said and gave her some medicines for suppressing nausea and also a sleeping dose to help her rest.

Xing obediently drank the medicines but vomited it almost immediately. It's like She couldn't even hold water in her stomach.

Having no other way, Xu mama helped her to bed and Rijun and AoTian tried their best to ease her mind. But all Xing did was stare blankly at them. Xu mama sent AoTian and Rijun to sleep and sat beside her and gently stroked her hair,

"Young Miss, the young master is fine. Just sleep, or else he'll get angry at you like he got angry when he learned that you ate Poison",

Xu mama kept on talking in a soothing voice and Xing seemed to have calmed down but she didn't sleep.

Rijun could not sleep the whole night and he came to her courtyard early in the morning to see Xu mama nodding off beside her and there was another silhouette standing near her head. Rijun remembered it was the God they saw before in her home in the village.

"Please, give him back to her!", Rijun told the God and he felt the air around him go freezing cold for a moment. Even he didn't know where he got the courage.

The God looked at him for a second and disappeared into thin air and Rijun got close to Xing to see her in deep sleep.

Xu mama woke up sensing someone there and saw Rijun. She was also surprised to see her young miss in deep sleep.

So that God helped her to sleep? Rijun wondered. What is going on?

Rijun thought about what could be done and he could not understand what was happening or why. Then he reached to a conclusion.

Rijun wrote a letter to Haru and told him about her situation.

If there is someone who knows his eccentric sister, it is this friend of hers!
