Sky got to the office at about 7:00am, she was early so few staffs were around, she took the private elevator and went to her office, the moment the elevator door opened, Sky saw Chiamanda bent over her desk, her desk was a mess, it seems like she was searching for something . Chiamanda didn't look like herself, she was always organised and neatly dressed but she wasn't dressed in work cloths, she was shocked to see her boss . You are early ma'am she said, I actually came to get something . . . . . Sky looked at her and walked into her office, but Chiamanda followed her, Sky turned immediately making Chiamanda stop abruptly, Sky raised her brow up and Chiamanda stuttered . . . . well ma'am, I would like to have a word with you if you don't mind . Sky was about to go to her desk, but hearing Chiamanda, she turned and went to the meeting area . Sit she said, she wonder what was eating her up . . . I know the notice is too short but please ma'am, can I take half of the day off? my mom collapsed last night, she's at the hospital right now and my siblings are in school . Is she all right now? Sky asked . . . not really ma'am, she's having kidney failure, Chiamanda couldn't control her emotions, her voice was shaking and tears rolled down her cheek, she needs transplant, I can't donate cause I have hypertension, my siblings are too young to donate . Sky handed her tissue paper and said it will be all right dear, so what number is her name in the list, it's number ten, the doctor said he'll try his best to take it up a bit . Hmmm ten is too much, you said her case is serious . . . . how about the money for the transplant, Sky asked . . . am working on it ma, am a bit short cause i paid my siblings school fees recently . Ok what hospital is that and the doctor's name . . . . Graceland hospital ma'am . Ok you can take the day off . . . . let me know how it goes . Get Abigail from the eighteenth floor to fill your spot for now . Chiamanda was surprise, she has had the wrong impression of her boss, she was easy to talk to and even gave her the whole day off without notice . Thank you ma, she said . As Chiamanda left her office, Sky sighed . . .

poor girl, if only her father had the opportunity of being cured but he couldn't be cured and just when they had hope . . plane crash took him away . Life is just soo unfair . . . . she didn't know Chiamanda was struggling and is the breadwinner of her family, the girl is always smiling, this is the first time she's seen her frown . Why do poor people have sickness they can't handle, coupled with their poverty . She picked her phone and called a doctor friend of hers .

Dwayne decided to come to work a bit early today because he had some work to do, he still had alot to learn about his new position . Coming out of his car, he saw Sky come out of her car in her reserved parking space . . . he jogged to where she parked so he could say hi and ask her if he can get her breakfast . Before he could reach her, she was already walking to the other side of the building . . . . Ms Sky . . . . he called out but she didn't answer, she looked lost in thought, he stopped jogging towards her and walked to the front of the building, I wonder what's bothering my boss . . . he thought to himself, she didn't look like herself . He hurried to his office to finish some work before his meeting with Mr Anton .

Sky was busy with work when her doctor called her, hello Doctor Zainab . . . . how are you doing? Am fine Sky and you? doctor Zainab asked . . . we are fine doc . . . . what is this I hear about you running temperature and looking like a ghost? Anton . . . . Sky said . . . . I don't look like a ghost doc plus my temperature has gone down . Ok but have u eaten anything today? Sky kept quiet, she has totally forgotten about food . . . . Sky, Sky, Doctor Zainab said . . . . . sorry doc, I don't have appetite . You need to eat something and please don't miss your appointment Friday . . . . Ok doc I will, thank you and take care of yourself . Ok please take care of you and the baby . Anton walked in as Sky dropped her phone . . . . . he went straight to her desk and pulled her up . . . dragging her to the meeting area, he placed the bag he was holding on the table, he brought out banga rice and abacha . . . . Sky was about to quarrel him for dragging her and ask him where he's been and why he called the doctor without her permission . . . . seeing the food, she gasped . . . . Anton I love you, where did you get this and how do you know I was craving this? Just try it, Anton said . Sky stood up . . . . . rushed to the rest room, washed her hands . . . the moment she tasted the abacha, she froze, she picked a spoon and tried d banga rice . . . . a tear rolled down her cheek .
