Just Mine 53 My Honeybun

Anton pulled over...first of all, he wasn't driving fast and things like this doesn't happen in this estate. It was 9:00pm and already dark, he couldn't see well, at first he wanted to ignore the bike but Tega was with him... he wanted to know what all this is about so he could report the officer on duty.

As Anton parked his car...Sky drove to the passenger door...removed her helmet slowly and shook her head to remove the hair on her face.... gotcha she said...do I look sexy? she winked at him. What the fuck Sky, what are you doing on a bike this late? plus you shouldn't be on a bike because of your condition and don't tell me you are wearing those tight leather pants. Hey mother hen, calm down...i only went out briefly for a ride and also I am not wearing the tight leather pants just the jacket plus I wasn't driving fast. Now, where is my honeybun? Anton pressed a button and the top of the car opened turning into a convertible....cool Tega screamed. Again, again,again Tega kept saying....Sky and Anton both laughed....Anton please mind your words, no bad words in front of Tega, you just used the F. word moments ago. My honeybun Sky shouted as she smiled brightly...Yey Auntey...Tega said as he bounced on his sit and clapped excitedly...carry, carry ....he said. Now little man what are you suppose to say to me? Good mawning ma'am....he said.....Sky smiled, picked the little man from his sit and said ..it's evening love ...how are you? Tega pointed at her bike...no can't do mister.... your mom will kill me if i put you on a bike . Sky held the little boy as she said....well this doesn't count as riding a bike, we are in the estate and close to the house, am not on high speed so we cool right Anton?

Anton rolled his eyes and zoomed off leaving a trail of smoke behind....Cooooool, Tega screamed after the car...you are lucky I can't race you now Mr Chang but just know you started it, Sky screamed after Anton. Now little man let's go....she placed her nephew gently on the bike, and sat behind him...placing his hands on the throttle. She placed her hand on his and rode her bike home.

Anton watched as Sky raced Tega into the house, they both ran into the kitchen. How did your appointment go today with Doctor Titi? it went well she said...I heard my baby's heartbeat, smiling...Sky rubbed her tummy. Baby, baby, baby...Tega said, I want baby. Come here honey bun, come and kiss baby...lifting him up to the kitchen counter...Tega placed a soft kiss on her stomach. There's a baby in there love and he/she is your baby. Has he eaten? Sky asked Anton. Yes he just needs to shower and sleep. Ok love it's late how about I tuck you in? Tega yawned and rubbed his eyes....no, no sleep he said. Laughing Sky carried her nephew into her room...how about you sleep with your aunt today? The little boy nodded his head.

Taking him to the bathroom, she helped him shower, got him into his pajamas...the little boy fell asleep before she could finish dressing him. Sky picked up her laptop to reply some emails and after that she got ready for bed.

Rock music woke Sky up the next morning ....rubbing her eyes, she stood up and went to check where the noise was coming from. Sky followed the noise to the gym and seeing her two favorite boys in matching gym cloth...she smiled. Anton didn't see Sky come in as he was busy teaching Tega some body building technique, he got the gym cloths on his way back from the supermarket last night.

Sky was about to leave when Tega saw her and ran to hug her....auntey he said running. How's my honeybun doing today, did you sleep well, what would you like for breakfast? Tega smiled at his aunt's many questions and answered the one he liked the most...Pinkle, he said. You can't have Pinkle now love it's too early, how about oatmeal? noooo Tega said, tea? noooo, noo, noooo. Ok tell you what Tega, I'll get you Pinkle after breakfast...deal? The little boy smiled and ran back to Anton to continue his training.

Reducing the music, Anton picked up Tega and threw him up in the air, he loved the way the boy laughed. Ok I'm confuse...I'm trying to figure it out but I can't .... what's Pinkle? Sky laughed and said to him , it's Pringles, he loves Pringles. Oooooh Anton replied her. The rest of the day went by with the three of them staying indoors, cooking together, playing games, dancing and all. At the end of the day...they all crashed on the living room sofa while watching Tega's favourite cartoon(Teletubbies). It was one am in the morning when Sky woke up, seeing how they were pressed together on the small couch, she untangled herself from Anton, switched off the TV, carried Tega, woke Anton up, and they went to their separate rooms to sleep.

Sky woke up early the next morning, not wanting to wake Anton up, she moved about quietly around the house, prepared breakfast, bath water for Tega, and snacks he would eat in the church. walking on her toes to the fridge to get milk she screamed when she saw Anton standing by the door...watching her. You scared the hell out of me...why didn't you say anything? Why are you sneaking around as if you are doing something bad...Anton asked? I didn't want to wake you up, you've been great with Tega, thank you. It's no problem, I love him too. Why are you up so early? I'm going to church, I haven't been to church since the pregnancy, I feel like everyone will see through me and you know the church doctrine, no sex before marriage, no child out if wedlock and the rest...but now I think I have forgiven myself and accepted my pregnancy. I was skeptical at first but not anymore. I pray God forgives me for trying to bring a child into this world without a father.

An hour later, after dressing up for church, she hurried Tega out of the house with his lunch pack in her hands. Sky froze as she saw Anton in a suite, standing beside her Honda accord with her car keys in his hands.

she gave him the what's going on look. Yeah, yeah....I know, my mom was a Christian, you know? and the fact that I'm an atheist doesn't mean I can't go. Wow Tega must have done a number on you....let's go, Sky said as she buckled Tega to his seat.
