Just Mine 163 Final Task III

"Sky how did you figure it out?" Anton picked the result up and placed them back in the envelope.

"The first time I saw his eyes in broad daylight, I thought it was the sun. Then I saw it two days ago here when he slept in my room. Before that, when we visited his mother's restaurant, I mistakenly entered the wrong room. I saw her name.... Hembadoom Palmera Teffa. That was when I began suspecting."

"I wondered why he named the resort, Palmera. And when I saw her credentials, I started putting one and one together. I visited her recently and asked her about Mr Jay. She denied everything. I saw the look in her eyes. Turns out she knew him as Keffas not Jayden."

"You remember when we visited Dwayne with takeouts? I used bathroom break as an excuse to steal his toothbrush."

" Yeah I wondered why he chose Dwayne and why he wants him to know about the company. He also told me to help get you two together. So it turns out Mr Jay wants you in his family." Anton said smiling.

Sky looked at the recording in her hand. "I wonder what's in here. Another secret I guess. I can't wait to listen to it..."

Before Sky could finish her sentence, she heard someone at the door. "It must be Jenna" she thought to herself.

As Jenna walked into the house with Aidenn, They said hi to everyone and took their seats.

"Aidenn have you done enough thinking, and what have you concluded?" Sky asked as she placed refreshments on the table.

"Yes ma'am. I apologise for everything, I must confess that my greed got the best of me. I wanted a father badly and I wanted wealth to pay those who treated me badly. In my heart i believed he was my father, I guess I didn't want to believe anything else even when my mom told me he wasn't."

"My mom wrote me a letter before she passed on and I haven't had the courage to read it, but with Adrianna by my side, I was able to read it today." He took Jenna's hands in his and looked at her smiling.

Sky noticed the way they looked at each other and shook her head. Jenna can fall in love with anything, as long as it's alive, pays her attention and is nice. She did this so she was going to help her little sister get her head out of the clouds. "So what did the letter say?"

Aidenn sighed " Yes my mother was in love with Mr Jayden but he isn't my dad. Turns out she was a mistress not just to Mr Jayden alone but to other men. All you have to know is that I am not Mr Jayden's son and I'm sorry about everything I have done. The moment I leave here, I'll go clarify things to Ms Rose. But please let me stay in the country for a while before I return back home."

Anton stood up and started pacing. "We knew you weren't his son from day one Aidenn, we just needed proof and we've gotten it. Luckily Mr Jay left us a little present after his death." He handed Aidenn his test result and went to sit beside Sky.

"Thank you for telling us the truth Aidenn. If you had lied to me, I'd have stop everything I was doing to help you and I'm not sure I would have allowed you go Scott free. By this time next week, you'll be free to practice. You'll have your license back but I want us to make another deal but this is your decision alone, I won't force you."

Aidenn didn't know what to say. He stood up and hugged Sky. "Thank you ma'am, I'll be forever grateful. I didn't think you'll keep your word, I taught you'd have me jailed instead."

"You are welcome Aidenn, now please let go...the baby" Sky said as she pushed him away gently.

"Oh Ms Sky I'm sorry. Please forgive me. About your deal, let's hear it ma'am."

As Dwayne settled down. He remembered how he went around looking for a convenience store so he could get a toothbrush. He thought he had thee set of toothbrush in his cuboard back home. He remembered he took one out last month and it miraculously disapeared from his bathroom. So he took another out and when he was packing two days ago, he couldn't find the new toothbrush in the cupboard, that means he had just two before not three.

He had promised to buy a new one before travelling, but he kept procrastinating and he forget. He sighed as he lay down on the bed. He tried calling Ms Sky but she wasn't answering, she only called him at the airport to know if he arrived ok. Maybe her phone wasn't with her.

Dwayne opened his WhatsApp messages and smiled at Soma's last message to him. "Have a safe flight Dwayne and please call me when you arrive, be a good boy." He quickly dialled her number. He was set for his first seminar but he had a few minutes to relax before the seminar starts.

Neto smiled bitterly as he looked at the picture of Jaydite's CEO and her fiance. He didn't care to read the articles, he only started at the picture. She had grown big, her tummy was bigger and her face was a little swollen. She smiled brightly to the young man in the picture. Neto didn't know why he was still jealous, she was with another man and she was carrying that man's baby.

He threw his iPad on the bed. He wanted to call her to tell her that her project was finished, they were suppose to go supervise together so she could get ready for her opening. He had her manager was back in town. He wondered how she was going to run two business in her condition. He knew she was a great designer and she was always happy when she makes new cloth.

He didn't know how he would react if he hears her voice, so instead of calling, he texted her.

He stood up and went to his closet. He pulled out a native attire. The one she made for him on his birthday last year. He brushed his hand through the fabric and looked at her signature. He sighed, and placed the cloth back. It's high time he let her go, she's living a good life now and she's happy. The best thing will be for him to leave this place fast. He picked his suit jacket and went out to fulfill his own part of the deal with his dad.

"I'm afraid ma'am but I can't do it ma'am. I don't have much experience plus I didn't work for long before my license was revoked. I'm afraid your new project might fail because of me and people won't like that an ex murderer is in charge of a hospital." Aidenn said, as he removed his hands from Adrianna and mouthed I'm sorry to her.

"Wow ...I'm disappointed Aidenn. Where did all your confidence and boldness go? I taught you were smart. And besides you said you are innocent and I thought so too, why will you call yourself a murderer?"

"This is a big project for us Aidenn, and i need someone I can trust to be in charge. I already recruited doctors from outside the country. We want Jayden hospital and orphanage to be the best in the country. Mr Jayden also wanted it but he was too busy to go after his selfish needs. I want to help him achieve this. This is personal Aidenn, lt's not about the company. Please think about it." Sky stood up and handed Aidenn a file.

"Jenna, I think it's time you came back home. Thank you for everything love." Sky said, smiling at her sister.

Jenna shook her head at her sister and pleaded with her with her eyes. " Mena please. Aidenn please let's go, I really need to talk to you."

Confused. Aidenn accepted the file from Ms Sky. Who's Jenna? He saw the look in Adrianna's face and stood up. "I'll think about it Ms Sky. Thank you for everything." He took Adrianna by the hand and they walked out of the house together.

"That was interesting. Now I'd like to take my leave cause I'll charge you if I stay any longer. My time is very precious to me." Barrister Charlie stood up and packed his things.

"Thanks for everything Barrister." Anton shook hands with the old man. He watched Sky hug the man and told him thank you. He then walked the man to his car.

He sighed as he came back inside. He decided to check on Kira who was sleeping soundly in her room, before he went back to the living room.

"Are you going to listen to that or you are just going to continue staring at it?" Aidenn asked with his arms crossed. He stood at the doorway, watching Sky.

Sky smiled. " Truth is i'm not sure I want to listen to it now. Who knows what secret is in there Anton? I'm scared. I'm not sure I can handle any more surprises now."

"Yeah you are right Sky. How about we all take a nap then we listen to it after?" Anton helped her clear the living room and they each went to their room.

Sky had totally forgotten her phone. She had left it on the dresser in her room. She quickly checked it and she saw fifteen missed calls and ten messages. Her mom called, Jenna too, Dwayne, others were work related. She quickly opened her text. She saw Jenna's text message and smiled. Jenna texted her about the letter before they got here.

Sky wanted to call Dwayne back but she was worried. She didn't want to tell him now. It'll be best if his mom tells him herself. All along, Mr Jay's son, his blood was right beside her and she didn't know. She texted her mom then tossed her phone on the dresser and went into her closet to change into some free cloths so she could sleep comfortably.
