Just Mine 162 The Final Task II

"I'm sorry Aidenn. There's something I want to tell you and I hope you can forgive me." Jenna said, looking at the floor. The truth was out anyway. Sooner or later, he'll find out about her true relationship to Sky. Before Aidenn could reply her. Their phone beeped. It was Sky, She wanted them both to come to her house immediately.

"Is it from Ms Sky?" Aidenn asked, as he folded the letter back into the envelope.

"Yeah it is. About what I wanted to say."

Aidenn didn't allow her finish her statement as he stood up to leave. "Addy we can talk about that when we get back. I don't want to keep your sister waiting."

"Alright. I'll be ready in five minutes. I'll meet you outside your door." Jenna said as she hurried to her room to get changed.

Neto stood at the balcony of his apartment with a bottle of red wine in his hands.

"If you don't stop drinking. I'll call mom, and she'll move her things and come live with you forever." Neto's little sister threatened him as she walked to where he was standing.

"Hold on. I don't understand you and Mom. Why are you two always in a hurry to move into my place? I know for sure that your father's house is big enough, and don't you miss your father? Or in mom's case, why does she always leave her husband alone." Neto shook his hand as she stood close to him. He poured some wine into his mouth.

"Should I get you a glass or something? She asked, worried.

"You know what? There's something I need you to get for me. Please get me a cigarette, I really need to smoke."

Her mouth fell open as she looked at him. "Big brother you don't smoke. I think I need to call mom now or better still, you remember the lady i told you about? Fair in complexion, tall, full lips and all. Do you want me to invite her over?"

"No. I don't want anyone here. I just want to be alone. I think you should call old Greyson and tell him how miserable I am because he has refused to accept my transfer."

"Ok but I really don't like talking to your dad. He has this sexy voice and he's so imposing. But I'll call him so don't worry."

"Hi Mr Greyson.

No, everything is alright.

No, I don't need a favour. I'm calling because of my big brother. He's been drinking and smoking. I'm worried.

No, no women, he's by himself. Ok sir. bye." She ended the call and smiled at Neto.

"Good girl. Maybe he'll sign those papers now. Since you were all nice all over the phone. I'll give you my box but promise you won't use it to run away with a man?" Neto asked as he gave his sister a serious look.

"Hehehehe ...Big brother. I won't, but I need to get married so I have to go out there and mingle."

"Yeah that's a silly excuse. Don't give Mom a heart attack. I worry her too much as it is."

Twenty minutes later, while they both lay lazily on the bed, they heard the doorbell. "Hey little sister, did you call that lady over? Ashanti or what's her name again. If you did, then you will be with her cause I'm high and I don't like her, she's fake." Neto knew he wasn't drunk but tipsy, he could hear himself talking slowly and smiling. He was a bad drunk.

"I didn't invite Ashanti. Maybe it's one of your lady friends." She stood up to go get the door. She whistled her favourite tone as she walked to the door. She froze as she opened the door.

Mr Greyson noticed the way the little girl stood frozen without saying anything. She reminded him alot of her mother. She was the young version of Angela, he remembered when he use to woo Angela and she'd be totally smitten. He cleared his throat to get the little girls attention.

"Urmmm, hello Mr Grey. I didn't know you were coming over. Please come in." She said shyly as she held the door wide open for him.

She quickly ran to Neto's room to inform him of his father's arrival as the man sat comfortably on the parlour sofa.

"Neto, stand up it's your dad." She said as she she threw him a polo.

Neto was in a daze when he heard his sister's voice. But at the mention of his dad, he jumped up. "Cutie, I need cigarette fast, I used to have some. Maybe in my drawer, it was a gift from a party. " Neto ran to his closet to check for the cigarette."

"Stop calling me Cutie big brother, I'm a big girl now." She said following him.

"I can't find it." Neto panicked, he ran his hand through his short dark hair.

"Here. You can thank me later." She brought out a cigarette from her bag with a lighter and handed it to him.

Neto gasped. "Cutie! What are you doing with a cigarette? do you smoke now, is mom aware, have you joined a cult or something? "

He quickly out on his shirt and lighted the cigarette. He took a drag and blew it in the air.

"Calm down Neto. It's for my boyfriend, it's my way of saying I'm not judgemental cause you smoke."

"I don't believe you but we'll talk about it later." Neto left her in his closet and walked towards the door

Tired of waiting in the living room. Mr Greyson marched to Neto's room. " Get your ass over here Greyson junior right now"

Neto met his dad at his room door. "Hi Dad" He said smiling as he blew smoke into the man's face.

"Look at you boy, I'm disappointed. You look like a cave man. What's with the beard? You reek of alcohol. And since when do you smoke? Are you telling me a woman made you like this?" Mr Greyson asked disappointed.

Neto laughed at his father's description of him as a cave man. "You made me like this dad. Grant me my request and I'll go back to work."

"Your behavior us like that of a child..I need you to pull your self together. I have something for you, do this for me and I'll transfer you anywhere."

Neto smiled. "Anything for my transfer boss." He quickly collected the envelope from his father's hand and got rid of the cigarette.

Barrister Charlie smiled as he took a sip of his drink. "This is really nice Sky, please I need the recipe so I can make this for my self."

Sky tried to control herself. She wanted to grab the envelope in front of him but she held back. "Thank you Barr. Charlie. Now can we talk business? "

Barrister Charlie laughed as he saw the look on Sky's face. "Calm down little mommy. The result is right here. Just give me a few minutes to savour this drink."

"With all due respect Barrister Charlie. I think we should talk about the result now. We don't want little mommy here to go into early labour. That will be bad for all of us." Anton said as he watched the man. He never understood why Mr Jay liked Charlie. The man was stubborn, self centered and never takes advice from anyone. Yeah he was great at his job but he was an asshole. No wonder it took him this long to see them after trying to reach him for two weeks.

"Alright young man. Let's start. Sky, one of the result is a match 99% while the other isn't. I also took the pain to bring the result of the DNA test Mr Jay did with his daughters when he was alive. I think you'd like to know that Kayla isn't his child. He knew about it but yet, he still gave her some of his inheritance. I never understood Jay. May his soul rest in peace." Charlie said, handling the documents to Sky.

"What! Kayla isn't Mr Jay's daughter?" Sky and Anton said in unison , surprised.

"I thought it would be Mrs Rose daughter, Layla cause Ms Rose is all over the place and is always seen with different young men. Wow, I can't imagine how our pampered princess Kayla will react when she finds out the truth. She really wants to be the CEO of the company, while Layla is her puppet. No wonder her mom has been quiet this whole time."

Remembering the matter at hand. Sky quickly tore the envelope open as she looked at the DNA test result. She froze as she looked at them. Yeah she suspected it but she didn't think it would be true. "Wow Mr Jay, this is so like you. You really were thick-skinned. How could you keep this away from me?"

Anton collected the result from her hands and looked at them himself.

"Yeah the man was so calculative, even in death, he controls us all. Well he instructed me to give you both this recordings. That is if you finish everything he asked you to do on his list." He handed them both a recording.

The test result fell from Anton's hand. He couldn't believe what he just saw. Aidenn isn't the son of Mr Jayden but Dwayne is. "Dwayne is Mr Jayden's son." He kept on repeating the words. He never suspected. He wanted to ask Sky how she figured it out and how she got Dwayne's sample but he still couldn't get over the shock.
