Just Mine 160 Friend or Foe

Without her saying a word, they all left the room. She knew she was gonna tell them everything eventually. She quicky sent a text to Anton. She made Aidenn comfortable then she excused herself and went into her private room.

Minutes later, she returned with a frown on her face. "I'm very sorry Mr Aidenn, but you were right about my shoes. My waist hurts, I don't think I can wear them anymore. And you came in earlier than expected, so I couldn't get my sandals from my private room. Can you be so kind to help me get it? I'm afraid I'm not tall enough. I couldn't reach it." Sky said embarrassed.

Aidenn noticed her uneasiness. He didn't want to go into some woman's private room but he could tell she was embarrassed plus this isn't just any woman. It's a pregnant CEO. He sighed as he followed her to the room. and helped her with her sandals.

"Women." He thought to himself. She didn't pick any of the sandals at the bottom shelf, but the one on the top shelve. The one that looked like it hasn't been worn in a while. He doubts if even the cleaners can reach there.

And when he asked her, she used colour as an excuse. Matching colours.

Aidenn adjusted his suit jacket as they got back into the office.

"Thanks Mr Aidenn. Now what is it you wanted to talk to me about?" Sky asked as she sat opposite him.

"I really don't know if you'll like what I have to say but I actually don't care. I want us to make a deal!."

Sky smiled as she played with her wristwatch.

"I'm sure your precious Ms Rose won't be happy that you are here. If it's something I can agree with then I'll make the deal."

"Not that I care much about the company cause I'm not a big fan of late Mr Jayden, I believe it shouldn't be in hands of someone like Ms Rose. If you can help me prevent her from spreading any news about my scandal online. I won't let anyone know I'm Mr Jayden's son until we are both ready."

"I think I'd like to hear the real story behind your scandal. Something tells me you are too smart to make that kind of mistake with someone like your ex."

Sky listened attentively as he explained everything to her. She sighed as he finished talking.

"Well how about I offer you a better deal? You can say no if you want to, but I assure you it will be difficult for you to win this battle." Sky said with a smirk.

"I'm all ears Ms Sky"

"I want you to be true to yourself. I knew Mr Jayden...yeah he loved the ladies but he was an angel. There's no way he'd know about you and ignore you. Are you saying your mom wasn't with other men by the time she was with Mr Jayden? Apart from the picture and fake certificate Ms Rose gave you, what other proof do you have that he's your father?"

"I'm sure your mother must have left you a clue before she died. Now this is my deal. I'll give you today and tomorrow for you to look within yourself and tell me the truth. If you do this...I'll remove your name from the blacklist and get you your license back. There's one more thing you should know, and that is if you lie to me, I'll find out."

Aidenn didn't say a word, he only looked at her.

Realising he wasn't saying anything. She smiled as he watched her, Sky knew he didn't trust her, so she continued

"It's your choice Aidenn, that's the deal I'll accept."

"I don't know why you doubt me but that's fine. I'll see you tomorrow." Aidenn said smiling.

Sky saw he was about to leave and Anton wasn't here yet so she decided to stall him.

"How's Adrianna, how's her health now? I haven't had the time to visit her." Sky watched his expression as she mentioned her sisters name.

"She's doing good. She said she'll be here later today....by the way you two seem close."

Sky was about to reply when Anton walked into the office.

"Hey boss...sorry I'm interrupting, but I have something important to say to you." Anton said as he looked at Sky apologetically.

"I was just leaving. You can continue with your business." Aidenn said as he dropped his coffee cup on the table.

"Woh dude...what happened to your hair, did you go into a haunted house?" Anton asked as he walked to Aidenn and removed the cobwebs from his hair.

"Ouuch that hurts" Aidenn dusted his hair and stood up to leave. "I'll get it myself. Thanks Ms Sky."

"Did you get it?" Sky asked Anton as Aidenn left the room.

"Yeah Sky but I don't understand why you need that ....are you saying you are gonna get Kayla or Layla's hair too?"

"Noooo. You know that's impossible plus I don't think one of the girls is Mr Jayden's. He suspected till he died."

"Ok so why do you need it?"

"I don't know Anton. I'm just following my instincts, I need you to trust me. Did you place it in a paper envelope"?

" Yeah Sky I did and I even wore a glove."

Anton said, as he tried removing the hand glove from his hand.

"Thanks bestie. Remember, we have to see Dwayne off to the airport tonight. So keep your evening free."

Anton watched her as she stood up and walked to her table. He knew she was going to ask him about him and Kira soon, so he excused himself. Saying something urgent just came up.

Exhausted. Sky sat at the backseat of her car with Anton. 'Wow I thought this day will never end. Well at least Jenna did good, let's just hope he doesn't change his mind."

"Barrister Charlie texted me earlier today. He came back today, I need to drop something with him before the meeting tomorrow."

Anton phone rang as he was about to ask Sky what she wanted to give to the man.

"That was Tega, he kept talking about the puppy. Why did you give him Uttah for the week? He calls me everyday and you know he's too cute for me to say no too.

Sky laughed at the look on his face. "I had to give him the puppy for a while, he was crazy about it and he would call Uttah's name in his sleep."

"Yeah the little man is quite persistent. I've forgotten how much he loves dogs. That reminds me, how did you get cobwebs on his hair?"

"I had him get something from the top shelve. It wasn't easy getting the cobwebs. I had to look everywhere. Luckily for us. Mrs Fatima's hand can't get to that part. Even if she climbs. I climbed and had the sandals moved to the extreme end. I believe Mr Jayden left something with Mr Charlie that can help us settle this case."

"What if you had fallen Sky? What would we have done. You should have planned it ahead of time." Angry, Anton looked away from her.

" I had no idea he was coming. And his hair was the only thing we could easily get without him suspecting. Thank God I don't allow anyone clean that room all the time....If not, i wouldn't have been able to get any cobwebs."

"I just hope it wasn't all for naught. Let's just pray you are right about Mr Charlie."
