Sky pulled out her phone and dialled Anton's number again but it wasn't connecting. You are fine Anton, you are ok. Please be allright for me, I promise I'll follow all your rules, she said talking to herself.

As she reached the car...she fumbled for her keys in her bag. My car keys, she screamed at Chiamanda.

Calm down ma'am, I"ll drive. Please sit at the back ma'am.

Noo please hand me my keys, Sky said wiping the tears of her face.

Where are you rushing too, and what makes you think you can drive yourself in the state you are in.

I'm not in any state...I don't have a disease, I am fucking pregnant. Sky froze as she recognized the voice....she turned back and saw Anton standing not too far from her.

Anton! She cried out as she ran to him.

Hey did you miss me that much...Anton said as he opened his arms to catch her. Don't run Sky....I'm right here. He didn't notice she was crying until she was in his arms. She was sobbing and shaking at the same time.

Sky what is it? He asked rubbing her back. She didn't answer him so he signalled Chiamanda who was standing by Sky's car.

Chiamanda ran to him with a bewildered look. Mr Anton, are you allright?

Yes I am, did something happen, why is she like this?

We got a call from Stones that you were in an accident. We were just rushing to the hospital.

What?? Anton asked surprised.

Chiamanda please where's the food from Mr Jide? Sky asked interrupting their conversation, and pulling away from Anton's arm.

Under my desk ma'am. Chiamanda replied her.

Ok get rid of it....give it to a dog or something. Remember, be careful. Tell Bones and Stone to meet me at the estate. I'll see you tomorrow dear. Anton please let's go home, you must be tired.

She walked straight to the passengers sit as Anton collected the keys from Chiamanda.

Are you ok? Anton asked her as he got into the car. You look pale

I'm fine, I'm just glad you are ok. How would you feel if you get a call that your bestfriend was in a serious accident? Please wake me when we get home, she continued. not waiting for his response.

Ok Anton said looking at her before he focused on his driving. He watched her from the corner of her eyes as she drifted to sleep. She looked different and even lost weight a bit. How long has he been out of the country, for his Sky to be like this? He sighed as he drove home.

He's been home before, he came home straight from the airport, he thought Sky would be at home...when he didn't see her, he changed into a Jean and polo and rushed to the office. He switched off his phone this morning cause he's battery was low, so he didn't bother carrying his phone out.

Anton didn't want to disturb Sky, after they got home. He carried her princess style as he opened the door. He opened the door to her room, put on the air-conditioning and place her gently on the bed. As he stood up to leave, Sky held his hand.

How did you get home and why didn't you take your car? She asked him

Sleep, we'll talk about it when you you wake up.

No i'm fully awake now, I want to know why you didn't take your car.

When you sent me a text through my other number...I knew something was wrong and when you told me Mr Jide was behind the whole thing...I became cautious.

Remember I left my car at the airport and paid for parking space for five days cause I have a friend who works at that department.

But something strange happened after I arrived at the airport. Someone was waiting for me with my name written boldly on a cardboard. I walked past him to see if he knew me, but he didnt. So I asked him who sent him and he said it was Mr Jide. He pulled out his phone to check his new message, it was a picture of me. He smiled and wanted to help me with my bag. But I refused.

The thing is I didn't tell anyone except you of my return today and how did he get my car? so that made me suspicious. I followed him to the car and refused to put my bag in the trunk. Then I noticed it wasn't my car....there was a teddy hanging at the front and there was this smell as if the car just left the mechanic's place.

You know you must encounter traffic just outside the major airport. He was playing some loud music, I didn't ask him to reduce the music cause I wanted him distracted. I opened my door and came down. He couldn't do anything cause he was caught in traffic. But I'm not sure he's not aware of the accident. What hospital did Stone tell you I was in?

Faith Home hospital. I'm sure he's there now...let me call him.

Stone was almost at the estate when he got a call from the boss. Ma'am Chiamanda called

me, I'm on my way now how's Mr Anton?

It's me Stone. Did you see the driver? Is he allright?

Sir Anton,thank God you are ok. The car is badly damaged mostly the back...Akeem is unconscious so I could'nt talk to him....that's his name.

Ok but if it was really a plot to kill me, why didn't he call off the operation when I refused to go with the car.

That's the thing boss, there was someone at the back of the car, the person didn't survive it.

It's a female sir, in her late twenties.

Hmmm, go back to the hospital. It doesn't add up, try and see if you can talk to this Akeem when he wakes up.

Ok boss but I"m close to the estate....I'll turn back now.

Do you have anyone close to the hospital...who can get there before you?

No boss, they are far from the hospital.

Sky was already sitting up by the time Anton finished his call.

So what do you think? I think you are right about the driver, if he knew it was a plot, he wouldn't have gone out of his way to pick his girlfriend....or give a friend of his a lift.

Hmmm Mr Jide is really playing a fast one. Maybe he didn't tell Akeem cause he didn't want it to lead to him. I just sent Bones a text, he's working on retrieving the CCTV in the accident scene.

But why does Mr Jide want you dead? She asked.

He's trying to caught off your wing...you said he had a meeting with Neto yesterday. I think he's trying to get everyone who's on your side to his side and he knows I won't budge so he decided to kill me.

He came to see me today, even brought me food. I think he knows about the baby.

Ok then eat something. Sky said yawning.

Mr Jide threw the hand glove into the trash can as he left the hospital. Moments ago he was rejoicing at the office when the truck driver told him the job was done...now he found out that they got the wrong person. He didn't have the time to make a call through a secured line, he had to rush down here himself to see if it was true. He made sure he avoided all the cameras but still he didn't like been in the open like this. Fuck! he said as he banged his car door and drove the car out of the parking lot.
