Chapter 1464: Chapter 1491: The Terrifying Sand War God! Chapter 1464: Chapter 1491: The Terrifying Sand War God! Hearing this piercing and ear-splitting crow, Yang Zhen's expression drastically altered, and his entire body shook.
Such a sound meant that Saoji was unmistakably in danger.
After entering the Sacred Land of Gods and Devils, Saoji soared into the mid-air and has not come down since then.
Such an anxious squawk indicated danger on one hand and reminded Yang Zhen and the others to be cautious on the other hand.
What exactly had Saoji encountered?
Still unable to fly in this place, Yang Zhen could do nothing but anxiously wait.
However, Cheap Cat chuckled and said, “Damn, how could I forget about Saoji? With this guy around, are we still worried about not finding those people?”
Yang Zhen was taken aback and asked, “Saoji is not in danger?”
“There's definitely danger,” Cheap Cat grinned and said, “But it's not Saoji's, it's ours.”
Only those creatures born with wings could fly in a place where flight is impossible.
With wings, who could be Saoji's adversary now?
Under one Golden Crow Fire, nearly everything within heaven and earth was scorched.
Now, with only the cries and no scent of the Golden Crow Fire, even if Saoji was in danger, it was within a controllable range.
Listening, Yang Zhen suddenly understood; a heart worried is a mind in disarray, he relaxed and with a puzzled face asked the others, “So, does this mean that it's actually us who are in danger now?”
Almost as if to confirm Yang Zhen's premonition, just as he finished speaking, a rumbling sound ensued from all directions – even from beneath the ground.
Burrowing underground was no longer an option – who knows what horror lurks beneath, not surfacing?
The color drained from the faces of Yang Zhen and his companions as they hurriedly rushed in the direction Saoji warned of.
Cheap Cat leapt onto Yang Zhen's shoulder, tilted his head back and roared angrily, “Miao—-!”
Yang Zhen stumbled, nearly falling to the ground, staring bewilderedly at Cheap Cat.
Cheap Cat's old face seemed a bit red, he said embarrassingly, “Sorry, just habit!”
After speaking, Cheap Cat's face turned red, cheeks puffed out, and he let out a furious roar towards the sky!
“Roar—-!”
The sound wave, visible to the naked eye, howled through the mountains, surging straight into the clouds and even dispersed much of the pervasive fog.
Yang Zhen nearly turned deaf from Cheap Cat's roar and quickly covered his ears.
As expected, after the roar, Saoji's crowing came from the sky once more.
And so, Yang Zhen and the party, with start-and-stop progress, moved towards the direction indicated by Saoji.
Before long, both Golden Eagle Emperor and Emperor Aotian's faces changed drastically, and they pointed ahead, saying, “Look quickly!”
Yang Zhen focused his eyes, almost throwing Cheap Cat out.
An endless sea of corpses, as though equipped with a 3.0 turbocharged engine, charged madly at them.
Golden Eagle Emperor and Emperor Aotian roared furiously, both drawing their swords.
One brandished a red longsword, the other a sky-blue longsword, each with a radiant glow, clearly no ordinary weapons.
“Kid, we'll clear the way; you take Han Yan'er and rush through…”
Midway through Golden Eagle Emperor's bellowing voice, he heard a strange yell from the house, followed by a figure already dashing past.
Both got a shock and upon a careful look, who could it be if not Yang Zhen?
“This accursed kid, squandering so much primal energy, does he want to exhaust himself to death here?”
Golden Eagle Emperor cursed, but in the next moment, both their eyes bulged.
With Yang Zhen's straight charge, the ground erupted with huge earth spikes; amidst the terrifying gust, the endless onslaught of corpses was blown away, not a single one making it through.
Behind Yang Zhen, two earthen walls rose toweringly – making it impossible for any corpse to break through.
Golden Eagle Emperor and Emperor Aotian looked at each other, stunned, and then with a loud yell, they scurried after Yang Zhen.
Stop dawdling and hurry over there.
Emperor Aotian turned around and roared at Han Yan'er and the Scoundrel Cat.
The Scoundrel Cat immediately leaped onto Han Yan'er's shoulder, quickly following her as they chased after Yang Zhen.
No one knew how long they had run when a dense fog veiled the sky and endless corpses appeared, as if all the war gods from ancient battlefields had revived. Terrifying auras burst forth, and the fatal death energy made everyone stagger.
Who knew what would happen if someone inhaled this death energy? Yang Zhen could only keep his head down and charge forward.
After nearly an hour, the corpses finally began to thin out.
Just as Yang Zhen and the others finally broke free from the horde of corpses and were about to catch their breath, they were shocked and inhaled deeply, faces filled with horror.
An altar, a colossal altar, stood right in front of everyone.
Yang Zhen had never seen such a massive altar before; compared to it, Egypt's pyramids were like children's sandcastle forts.
The giant altar was made of yellow sand. Just one brick was as big as a western-style house.
Terrifying airwaves swirled around the altar. At a glance, the top of the altar was impossible to see.
Yang Zhen felt that this massive altar could even suppress the entire Tri-Floral Sanctuary beneath it.
When everyone rushed to the base of the altar, they felt like ants facing a mountain. Who the hell created such a behemoth?
While everyone curiously examined the altar, a cold snort sounded as if it came from the deepest frozen hells.
“Scram!”
Scram?
Hearing this word, Yang Zhen's temper surged instantly, his eyes narrowed in anger, and he asked, “Who's this brat acting all high and mighty here?”
Both the Golden Eagle Emperor and Emperor Aotian hastened to hold back Yang Zhen, but it was too late.
Boom boom boom!
In the surging terror of the airwaves, endless sand began to gather on the giant altar, forming a massive statue of a war god.
But this statue was so lifelike that one would think that an ancient war god had truly revived if it weren't immediately obvious that it was composed of yellow sand.
The illusionary gaze, the look of disgust, sent chills down everyone's spine.
This war god, from a high perch, stared down at everyone, and without saying a second word, the treasure resembling a Square Sky Halberd in its hands smashed down fiercely.
Boom–!
An earth-shattering airwave surged forth, ripping apart space into countless fragments. Wild Void turbulence swept away all the sandstorms.
Emperor Aotian and the Golden Eagle Emperor both snorted coldly, about to take action, but Yang Zhen suddenly pulled everyone back.
Buzz–!
Suddenly, the torn space burst with a force capable of destroying heaven and earth itself, swallowing the spot where Yang Zhen and the others just stood.
Seeing the pitch-black void that seemed to have been torn and scorched by some extremely powerful force, everyone gasped.
“What… what kind of power is this?”
The Golden Eagle Emperor's face turned pale, his expression one of disbelief.
Even though they were terrified, they were even more excited.
If everyone's guess was right, this was the correct way to use the Void Power.
Yang Zhen's eyes lit up; yes, this was the Void Power.
A sand-composed war god could wield Void Power with a single strike; how could anyone live with this?
Damn, it was too thrilling.
Yang Zhen eagerly wanted to dissect and study this war god, about to rush forward when Emperor Aotian pulled him back.
“Scram!”
Again, that icy voice came through, with a coldness that spread everywhere, bone-chilling, and hair-raising.
