Chapter 3860: Early Veiled Shore III
The light in this place was a dream- soft, golden, and persistent.
It threaded through the gently swirling mist and kissed the verdant shorelines with a tender gleam, casting shadows that danced slowly across the untouched sands.
"Master!"
Noah turned his head as Ruination called to him, her voice distant but clear, laced with excitement and awe. She stood near one of the three towering trees at the center of the Budding Shore, her arm gently extended toward its trunk.
He began to move toward her, each step sinking slightly into the soft, warm earth. The slight mist parted with grace as he approached the tree, its grandeur becoming more evident with every breath he took.
A single massive trunk of rich amber-brown wood spiraled upward, its bark covered in soft whorls that pulsed with a low, warm light.
The leaves were broad and sunlit gold, shimmering softly as if bathed in endless dusk. Each leaf was translucent at the edges, revealing tiny veins of glowing vitality that whispered with ancient breath of time.
A new prompt bloomed before his vision as he neared the tree.
You have discovered the Heartwood Suntree of this Budding Shore. It will bear the Sunpetal Nectarine Wheel- a fruit in the form of a Unique Wheel of Existence that is capable of rapidly increasing the complexity of Early Lifeforms seeking to build their Towers of Origin. To allow the fruits to bloom and ripen faster, the Heartwood Suntree thrives on Early Sacred Water...
Heartwood Suntree! Sunpetal Nectarine Wheels of Existence! Wheels of existence that one could...eat?
Just how uniquely had the Early Creatures lived that they were eating Wheels of Existence budding from Trees?
Noah became ever curious about the Story of the Earliest Folds, and what occured after THE Living Paradox was locked away while the Creature left with all other Living Existences.
Did Early Creatures bloom thereafter? Where were they now? Where was THE Creature himself that had given its Everything?
Many questions buzzed in his mind as it seemed like his other bodies with Moiraine and Sigrid would have to get more of this story soon.
Noah's gaze lingered back on the golden leaves of the tree, each one fluttering with a rhythm that felt synchronized to the very beat of this Early Land.
Of course the trees would be just as extraordinary as the water.
He moved closer and placed his palm on the tree's trunk. It pulsed beneath his skin, its surface warmer than he expected. There was a quiet, humming song to it—not in sound, but in feeling. As if it recognized the hands of an Early Creature and welcomed him.
He turned, eyes narrowing on the other two trees rising in the mist.
The second tree was strikingly different. Its bark was silvery black, not reflective but dense, like starlit obsidian pressed into shape. Long needles hung from its branches instead of leaves, and each one shimmered faintly with molten streaks of red and blue, like veins of early magma woven with spirit.
As he neared, another prompt danced into view.
You have discovered the Ironroot Vulcan Tree of this Budding Shore. Once every cycle, it sheds Ironpetal Shell Fragments- materials imbued with Early Existential Weight that can be forged into Early Armor and Weapons. The resulting creations are permanently inscribed with a resonance of your True Source, gaining unique properties based on its Alignment and Resistance. The shedding cycle accelerates drastically with proper watering of Early Sacred Water.
Noah shook his head as he reached out and caught one of the falling fragments- a petal shaped shard of dark silver etched with living runes that shimmered faintly in his hand. It was light, impossibly so, and yet he could feel its authority pressing down through his palm. His fingers trembled slightly under its weight.
His fingers...trembled under it weight as just who hell was he for a falling fragment to cause his finger to tremble?!
He could create something terrifying with the products of this tree!
And then he turned to the final tree.
This one was the smallest of the three, though still monumental by mortal standards. Its bark was smooth and pearlescent, almost translucent. Strange blooms formed at the joints of its branches- fleshy orbs of glowing pastel blues and pinks that pulsed faintly with slow breaths.
You have discovered the Breathbloom Whisper Tree of this Budding Shore. It bears Whisperpods- early fruits that when consumed will bloom a single Existential Insight within the eater, a flash of understanding capable of granting the comprehension of a Lost Forgotten Principle. Their effect is unpredictable, but exponentially powerful. As with the other Trees, the ripening process is accelerated through the nourishment of Early Sacred Water.
HUUM!
Lost...Forgotten Principles!
Noah closed his eyes.
Sunpetal Wheels. Whisperpods. Ironpetal Fragments.
Each of these alone would be beyond comprehension in any other domain of Existence.
And here they were... just waiting.
Each one filled with boundless possibilities of what could be.
He exhaled slowly, his hands resting at his sides.
"Everything in this place responds only to effort," he said quietly. "Nothing can be taken with ease as one truly has to move and live like an early primitive being..."
WAA!
Ruination and the Infiniverse had bright eyes as they looked around to see what other wonders there could be.
As if in answer, a new pulse of light shimmered in front of Noah, this time not from the trees, but from the ground itself. The air shifted. The sand trembled just so.
You have interacted with a sufficient amount of the Budding Shore's weavings. A Record of Early Creatures begins to reveal itself to you...
You have gained access to an Alternate Method of Progression unique to Early Creatures. A primitive, primal method born before structured systems existed.
Method: Inscription of Early Living Runes.
Each Rune requires the compression of 1,000,000 CQ and PQ into a single Early Living Existential Glyph. These Glyphs are branded upon Existence permanently, never requiring expenditure of energy. Movement, breath, and action become the medium through which Authority is expressed. No commands. No power expenditure. Only Existence. Early Creatures lived with such simplicity.
Each Early Living Existential Glyph grants the bearer a fundamental trait or power that activates through mere will and action. The compression and creation of a single Rune is monumentally difficult.
