Chapter 3788: Veiled Sunfolds III
The cold and newly arriving Master of Existence stood with a light of power and glory as her weavings already began to spread out nearby
“I am Master Etheopa,” she said crisply, voice flat and absolute. “Master of Destiny and one of the Architect of these Sunfolds ”
The air trembled.
Noah didn't blink.
Her eyes, cold as dying stars, swept over him like a ledger being assessed.
“Under normal circumstances,” she continued, “you would be offered terms. Compensation fitting of your… distinction.”
A faint pulse flickered in the golden weavings wrapped tight around her body as Existential Dimensional Lattices of Destiny buzzed.
“You would be honored as an equivalent to a Master of Existence for the aid you could provide the Veiled Sunfolds as a rare and barely observed Unbound Living Paradox.”
Another pause.
Then…
“But these are not normal circumstances.”
Noah said nothing, the folds of his cloak whispering in the windless surroundings.
“We are in a bind,” Etheopa admitted, irritation threading through her otherwise perfect poise. “So, you'll be filled in as we go.”
Her hand lifted.
The golden Lattices of Destiny around her body bloomed, flaring outward with searing brilliance that wrapped around each of them like streamers of sentient starlight.
And then…
HUUUM!
They moved.
Not walked.
Not teleported.
They delved, their bodies turned into streaks of blinding light as they pierced into the nearest crimson Wheel of Existence, vanishing from the burning folds of the exterior and entering one of the heart of the Sunfolds.
The moment they began descending, Noah's voice drifted through the motionless light.
Calm and filled with a quiet tyranny.
“So what is this prophecy?” he asked, his gaze sliding toward Master Shen who was floating beside him like a man on a lazy river. “The one you all seem so skittish about. And what exactly do you think I have to do with it?”
Master Shen yawned dramatically.
He looked over at Noah with a smirk.
“Curious?” he mused. ” But I don't normally do long sermons. That's Etheopa's thing.”
He stretched his arms behind his head, then let his voice fall as he continued.
“Still, this little prophecy was interesting to me as it seemed less cryptic than the others ones they have whispered about before. Let's see, how did it go…”
He lifted his gourd, took a lazy sip, and then spoke out seriously.
When the Folds quake and the Null bleeds anew
A shadow once silent shall rise in view, powerless yet powerful enough for catastrophes anew
An Anomaly born outside pattern and thread,
Shall walk where the Living Paradoxes once flew
Its birth is a blaze, its silence a bell,
The Sunfolds will burn or they'll shine too well.
For brilliance to rise and survival to bloom,
That which is closest to the Living Paradoxes must meet its gaze.
The Young Paradox must take challenge
A Null Wonder breaks and tears in two,
A Child of the Sun within will point the view.
And there, the Young Paradox shall be.
For the glory of the Sun, and what is yet to see…
The folds around them pulsed like they recognized the words. Kalysta's eyes flicked toward Shen sharply, her lips parting slightly in stunned reverence as she recited the prophecy to herself.
Even Master Etheopa said nothing.
Noah let it settle.
The rhythm of it.
The weight.
A child of sun would point the view in a breaking Null Wonder…this was obviously Kalysta, and the one she would point to was him.
And the thing that made the the Veiled Sunfolds look for a Young Paradox…was an anomaly born outside of pattern and thread!
This was the thing that was waking up soon that they were taking him to see?
He did not like the specificity of this Prophecy as who produced it? How did they come to know about the Null Cradle of Fold-Breaking Ascension breaking, or that an Unbound Living Paradox would be there?
The power to see across existence and do all of this… what's terrifying to imagine as it only made Noah understand the levels of complexities out there for him to reach and overcome.
And since they were dealing with destinies, it also made him all that much more expectant to see exactly what would unfold at the end of all of this.
How could he use what was happening to gain the greatest possible benefit for himself as right now, he had reached another wall of 81 Existential Dimensional Lattices now that he needed to reach a certain Complexity Quotient and Purity Quotient before he could break once more. He was still forging more Lattices for True Sources that had yet to reach 81.
He had great expectations for the Fold Dwellers of the Veiled Sunfolds as…
HUUM!
The surroundings pulsed as things gradually came to a level of calm, with Noah finding their group brought inside a radiant True Frequency of Existence.
A True Frequency…that was not his own from the Infiniverse.
It was the first time that he was inside another Wheel of Existence, and his eyes flashed with a terrifying light as he came to understand the identity of this frequency.
The True Frequency of Fate.
All around, there were strings of golden fate twisted into hourglasses that permeated the entire region as they were filled with a terrifying level of potency and power!
There were massive stellar white and gold trees pulsing with brilliant fate all around as some extended upwards, downwards, and in all directions.
It was gorgeous to see.
And this expanse of white and gold was not empty, as there were actually hundreds of existences surrounding this region at this moment, their eyes focused towards a singular location.
They were all Fold Dwellers burning with True Sources, Monads and Harmonized Sourcebound Icons alongside Nascent Source-Bearers being large in numbers.
All Living. None Dead.
Dozens of Primarchs could also be seen here, alongside three other Masters of Existence as they all carefully surrounded a region which had massive golden chains of fate wrapping around a clear bubble that contained…the Thing.
The thing which caused all of Veield Sunfolds to move with care as they deployed Master Shen to follow the prophecy and bring back an Unbound Living Paradox for it.
Noah blinked as he looked at this supposed terrifying thing, only to find…
A sleeping young woman in a ragged white robe and fair skin…skin that was carved with terrifying Runes all over.
And yet…
Noah's eyes squinted in wonder as this supposed terrifying thing that powerful Fold Dwellers gathered around…
Did not have an ounce of mana or authority within her body.
She looked like…a normal human by all accounts.
One inscribed with runic markings, yes, but normal.
And yet…she was contained in a clear bubble of light, in space, as she…breathed while her eyes slowly fluttered. No normal human…would be able to survive here.
But undoubtedly, she was a normal human!
