Inevitably Trapped With The Amorous Husband Chapter 127 - 127: Unexpected Discovery

Ever since he planned their second wedding, he rarely asks Secretary Yang Bo to work on stuff just like this. He will do it by himself which was great progress for a womanizer like him. Due to his secretive actions, it makes Yang Bo, his close friends, and relatives utterly surprised.

Once Xiulan is finished with her call, she catches her husband looking at her quite differently. The type of difference that makes the hair on her back gets goosebumps.

To get his attention away from her, she decided to tease him. She raises her eyebrows at him and acted like she's angry at him. "Were you listening to my call just now? Are you a spy?"

Hongqi charmingly smiled at his wife's cute accusations. "Yes, I'm trying to find out which person who made my wife be so stressed in the morning."

She snorted at his remarks, "Hmph. You and your suave remarks. So what will you do if you find the culprit?"

"Well, I'll make sure to make them suffer tenfold." The handsome husband grinned and sips in the remaining coffee.

"Hey... Why do you keep threatening people? Is that a long-time hobby of yours?" She knew that he's flirting but she can't help but ask this. His mouth would always spew brutal arrogant stuff that sometimes she questions herself if she married a sadist.

There was brief amazement on Hongqi's expression when he heard his wife's question. "Well... I'm like this ever since. I grew up in a household where an only heir should always act majestically and domineering. The people around me are like this as well. Just like what I said a long time ago, I'm naturally arrogant."

Xiulan's expression was unreadable and she seems to be contemplating. She indeed remembers that he said something like that before. 

Hongqi only laughed at her and suddenly a question pops up in his mind. "Are you happy with your wedding ring?"

She was confused for a moment and quickly looks at her wedding ring. "It's a little heavy due to the big diamond and sometimes I'm very anxious that it's expensive which causes me to not want to wear it. But overall since you picked this by yourself, I like it."

Hongqi's heart fluttered again. "You really know what to say to make me happy."

"Huh? What?" Xiulan thought she became deaf for a moment. Did he really say such cheesy lines?

Hongqi smiled mysteriously. "*Sighs*, my wife is so pretty but her ears are not in good health. How could this be? I can't say it again." He acted like a little brat trying to be sassy.

Though her answer really made him happy, he will still buy a new pair for them.

Xiulan frowned at his weird muttering. "I definitely heard that but I'm just trying to act clueless here." she secretly rebuts.

She's really not sure how to respond to his flirting that's why she chose to be oblivious or clueless most of the time.

"Tomorrow, let's go to Universal Studios and eat lots of food." Xiulan decided to change the topic.

"You have been eating a lot these days. Your gym instructor will be mad at you. Good thing I make sure that we always have our s.e.xy times." Hongqi mutters and made a flirty wink at his wife.

Xiulan rolled her eyes at her husband's remarks. "I can't ignore all the food you bought. They are so good and wasting food is a great sin."

"So it's my fault now?" Hongqi sassily remarked.

"Of course not! Don't stop buying all the delicious food, okay? I'll just let my gym instructor torture me than torturing myself for not eating delicious food. I'm not sarcastic here. I'm being honest." Xiulan stands her ground. She refuses to put the blame on the food. She only mentioned it yet the husband made a whole different context in her remarks. 

Hongqi curled his lips and laughed heartily at his wife's guilty remarks. He stands up to kiss her forehead and caresses her hair. He sweetly informs her, "Just rest today. I'm going to meet some business clients in an hour."

Xiulan only nodded. She will definitely take a long rest. The long walk yesterday and the hot snu-snu they had last night made her legs like melting chocolate. She can't even walk properly.

Hongqi went to meet more business clients who wanted to ask investments from him. He read some of their proposals last night when he had a call with his team. 

Though these new clients are a start-up company, their services and goods seem promising if they only have a proper investor. 

Hongqi has been investing his money in small companies ever since. When these small companies flourish like a blooming flower in spring, the money he invested comes back to him tenfold.  He can't even count anymore how many companies he already invested, both small and big. That's why every second, he earns millions without any effort.

Inside a black and white meeting room with a huge overlooking window, twenty people both in their late 20s and 60s try to curry favor with the money-making machine, XIngHongqi. 

Hongqi sits at the very center and end of the long glass table. He flips every doc.u.ment and makes sure that he won't be investing in a puny business.

"This one is good too," Hongqi mutters each time he flips a doc.u.ment and without blinking or even hesitation, he signs a doc.u.ment worth 100 to 500 million yuan investment. 

All the men and women who came to ask for investment are speechless seeing this young gun to actually sign their proposals. 

"Happy to work with all of you." Hongqi displayed a kind and humble smile to them. He still has that domineering aura but he seems to be nice when money is involved.

Hongqi quickly left the meeting after he signed the doc.u.ments. By the time he's at the lobby, ready to enter his car, Mr. Sato suddenly appeared and approached him.

Mr. Sato is with his wife and they were carrying a few paper bags full of clothes. "Young master Xing. I would like to give your wife some of the clothes that my little company has to offer. Ever since you invested in our company, we suddenly have enormous confidence to cater to a lot of customers without worrying and budgeting for the items. As an additional thank you, I hope your beautiful wife could receive these gifts. They may not be high-end but we hope it could suit her taste." 

The old Mr. Sato gave the bags to Secretary Yang Bo and left them with a delighted smile on the old couple's face.

Hongqi made a humble nod at the couple and then entered his car. Secretary Yang Bo had to hand those paper bags to the security guards in the convoy since it won't fit in the main car.

They had to visit for a few more business meetups before Hongqi decided to go back to the VIP room. 

When he entered the room, he saw his wife lying on the bed while playing on her mobile phone. She was also chatting with someone.

Hongqi greeted his wife with a kiss while she's lying down and Xiulan briefly looked at him and continue her conversation with her big sister Qiaohui. 

"Why not just change your house? You have the money to get another villa." Xiulan angrily mutters while she plays a strategy game with her big sister. Instead of planning their strategy on how to win the game, they were talking about personal lives.

"Sis, my feng shui forecast said that this house will make my business flourish for the next decade. The yin and yang energy coming from this house balances with mine. Though my ex-husband and his new wife somewhat interfere with the good energy due to my bad mood, still according to the feng shui expert this is the best house." Qiaohui is adamant to change her plans unless the feng shui master says that she must leave. She also invested a lot in this house and it's actually her dream design too. How can she leave just because of those two pests?

"Since you're already firm with your decision, why are we still talking about it?" Xiulan is slightly irritated that their game got messed up and her big sister kept getting killed. Now their rank is going down. Can her sister just play and talk without dying inside the game?

Hongqi's busy tapping away on his laptop when he heard his wife's angry tone. He stares at her for second and guessed that her mischievous big sister might be annoying her. 

According to the rumors and investigation that his men acquired, Song Qiaohui is currently in a bad and awkward position between her ex-husband and his new wife. They were living next to each other. The mischievous big sister is living quite the simple yet lavish lifestyle by not mingling with the upper socialites, just like what Xiulan is doing. Unlike their big sister Song Nuo Shu, who seems to be always in high-class parties due to her line of work.

Hongqi didn't want to listen but he can't help but eavesdrop since he might be able to help the only ally in the Song family next to the father.

"Ah, shit!" Qiaohui gasped when her hero died for the 20th time. Their rank game for today seems to be a huge failure. "Alright, I will stop playing since I don't want to drag your rank with me. I'm going back to work. I just want to vent out my frustration since I don't want to disturb my yin and yang energy. Don't forget my souvenirs, dear little sister. Ciao~" Qiaohui hurriedly ended the call and went back to work. 

Xiulan only looked at her phone screen and the big sister really logs out of the game after making their rank game fail. She also exited the game and noticed the paper bags outside their bedroom.

She stands up from the bed and walks to the cute looking paper bags. When she pulled out one of the dresses, she can't help but gasp at it and admire the design. 

"Where did you get this? They are so pretty!" Xiulan excitedly said while she opens each one of them. "Wait… are these mine?" She suddenly asked. She's making sure she's opening items that were for her.

Hongqi was confused for a moment why she asked like that. "Of course that's yours. Why would I gift it to other women?"

Xiulan secretly pulled out her tongue. She slipped there. It was not her intention to ask that. She actually thought these clothes might be for his celebrities since other CEOs working in the showbiz industry would usually buy clothes for their artist. 

Though she's not working in the showbiz industry, she usually gives gifts to her subordinates.

"Sorry, that's not what I meant. Aren't bosses usually give gifts to their employees when they do a good job?" Xiulan said loudly while she tries one dress. She wears them inside the walk-in closet. The floral cobalt blue dress gave her a fresh look, like a teenager ready for a summer trip.

She went outside to let Hongqi see the dress on her. Her husband was about to rebut her remarks when he suddenly saw the dress on his wife. He wasn't able to say the things he was about to say since the dress looks really good on her.

"The dresses are my type. Where did you get them? I am not familiar with the brand." Xiulan mentions as she points at the brand name on the paper bag. Her beautiful smiling face says that she really likes it.

When Hongqi said yes in investing to Mr. Sato's business, he never thought about the design. He just thought of helping the old man, but now… he thinks that this an unexpected good investment.
