Hongqi arrived in the dining hall with his usual arrogant, handsome look and intimidating aura. He was sporting a black and white houndstooth patterned top suit and raven slacks. His hair all tidied up and gave him a fresher look. 

Of course, it caused a slight uproar that the famous Xing Hongqi is currently in town. 

The Japanese media leaked this information. Now, a lot of businessmen wanted to talk to him to propose ideas or invite him to invest in their companies.

These 'fans' weren't able to even get close to him since Hongqi was surrounded by a lot of bodyguards. He looks like a mafia member or a politician the way the people treat him.

Xiulan grumbled and frowned at the sight of her husband. She wanted to tear that handsome face of his. How could he abduct her in such a crucial time?

Hongqi beamed seeing his wife and her cute frown. He already expects the mouthful of nagging he will get from her.

"Love, I know I am handsome but please don't stare at me like that." Hongqi teased when he arrived at their table. He kissed the top of Xiulan's head and sat beside her. His perverted hands quickly wrapped itself on his wife's small waist.

"My wife is sulking. Tell me your woes, my love." Hongqi seems to be in a good mood and he can't help but tease his wife. Oh, men in love sure are annoying sweethearts.

Xiulan pierced a heavily look at her husband and pinched his naughty hands. Hongqi endured her pinching and sweetly nuzzled his nose on her neck. "My love, why are you mad?"

Xiulan was fazed by the reactions of the other customers in the restaurant. She patted her husband's broad back and whispered: "Hey, people are looking!".

Hongqi didn't budge, instead, he clings more. He sharply looked at the onlookers to send a menacing sign to them to mind their own business. The bodyguards also formed a 'human wall' to shield the Xing couple from the other customers' curious gaze.

When Xiulan felt that she managed to get a small portion of her privacy back, she contemptuously glared at her husband again. 

"Husband, is it right to abduct me during an important mission? I think you were aware that I have a critical assignment in my mother's hometown." Xiulan clenched her teeth while she whispers back to her husband. She must lower her voice so the curious gossipmongers wouldn't put their nosy ears up to their side.

Hongqi chuckled hearing his wife's angry whispers. "Everything is fine now, my love. That head manager is in jail. Don't you know?"

Xiulan stopped struggling from his sweet grasps. She lagged for a minute. "Yi Sha is in jail?"

She ceased her pinching on his hands and pushed him away from her to have a little space so she could get a good look at him. She stared at him with a doubtful expression. "You are joking." 

"No?" Hongqi has that annoying handsome teasing smile and his mouth was striking a boyish grin that could get all the ladies' panties wet.  She got provoked more seeing this nonchalant expression from him. 

Hongqi looked at Secretary Yang Bo and signaled him to get the evidence that the head manager was already in jail.

Secretary Yang Bo stands beside the Xing couple and handed an iPad to Xiulan. "Madam, please look at the reports and videos. It contains all the necessary data regarding Yi Sha's arrestment." 

Xiulan's trembling hands caught the iPad and tried to decipher the reports and videos. She still can't believe that Yi Sha's in prison already. Under her nose! Her husband was able to do everything under her nose! Damn.

She quickly browsed the reports and videos so she could discern how the hell that happened.

Hongqi quickly called for a waiter while he waits for his wife to check the data. He ordered three very expensive red wine that costs $50,000 each. In yuan, it'll be 350, 370 yuan per bottle.

Xiulan was fuming and miffed when she browsed the reports. She can't explain why she's so pissed that her husband tries to mind her business. She understands if he gave her a heads up but he was completely mum about it.

When Xiulan finished looking at the report, she sighed deeply and angrily frowned at her husband. She hit his muscular arms and ranted "You! Why are you messing with my plans? Please mind your own business."

She was hissing and very angry. But her exasperated face was still pretty and it made Hongqi wanted to tease her more.

"My love, I can't leave my wife solving other people's problems," he answered back and wrapped his arms around her body. "I noticed that you were living an unhealthy lifestyle for the past months and was stressed by all the problems that life gives you. I am your husband, I should help my dear wife."

Xiulan listens to Hongqi's words and tried to pacify herself. She understands that her husband had been wanting to help her but she was not allowing him. 

She may have been petty regarding this matter but due to her stubborn attitude, she really didn't like getting any help.

She looked at her husband with her eyebrows still frowning but her mood was slightly better than a minute ago. "Alright… I won't be mad at you this time. I'm cool now. I just felt like, you're trying to invade my privacy… too much to be exact." She pouted.

Hongqi smiled at his wife's cute mutterings. "I will try my best not to meddle anymore. But since I'm a nosy husband, I might still hinder sometimes." He flashed his pearly teeth at his wife. He pulled her closer to him and quickly stole a kiss on her lips.

Xiulan blushed when the roguish husband stole a kiss from her. They were in a public place yet this man kept touching and pulling sweet tricks on her.

"I hope you don't mind that we're gonna have a one month vacation." Hongqi blurted while he plays with his wife's hands.

"Huh?" Xiulan didn't know about this one month vacation. "What do you mean?" she clenched her small hands on his large palms.

Hongqi sweetly kissed her cheeks. "We are going to have an extended honeymoon, my love!" 

Xiulan held tightly on his hands and loudly whispered to him. "No way! I'm very busy."

"You are always busy, love. When are you not going to be busy anyway? You can remotely work, right? This is just one month… please?" Hongqi pleaded and held her tightly against his body. He sweetly embraced and cuddled her. 

"One month..." Xiulan exasperatedly thought. With a whole month, she could sort of things like work and work and work.

Hongqi blew his breath near her neck. "Hey, what are you thinking?" His wife suddenly became quiet for a moment. He thought she was mad or something. This one month vacation must continue!

"One month is too much. How about two weeks?" Xiulan negotiated. A month of slacking off and wasting money was not a good plan for a stingy and workaholic person like her.

"Please please please, one month? I want to travel and spend more time with you." Hongqi pleaded and acted like a little boy asking his mother to give what he wanted.

Secretary Yang Bo and the bodyguards cringed when they saw their scary boss acting so clingy. Was their boss like this in private? He was never clingy to his past women before. He was always calm and collected with a hint of threatening aura. But now… he's like a puppy. 

Xiulan rolled her eyes. She can't believe she'll see the day that the great Xing Hongqi will act like this. "Fine, fine! One month. You better make sure that one month of slacking off will pay off."

She was still mumbling something under her breath but Hongqi didn't bother understanding them since it was only her cute rants.

Hongqi's face brightened. Now that the one month escape has Xiulan's blessings, he will make sure that he'll do his best to let her know his true feelings.
