"What is this woman doing? Whatever she was doing, it looks so complicated." Hongqi secretly remarked while he watches his wife do her work. He also found out that she still haven't eaten her leftover breakfast in the dining table. So he asked Bai Rong to come inside the room to serve the food to Xiulan.

"Good day, madam. I brought your breakfast." Bai Rong announced and put the food on the long table near the door. She was confused why Hongqi was standing at the back like a suspicious person.

"Oh! Thank you so much, Bai Rong." Xiulan was about to stand up but she suddenly saw a silhouette on her screen. She quickly glanced at the person behind her and she screamed like she saw a ghost. 

"Ah! What are you doing there?!" She dashed towards her husband and hit him with her small hands. "I almost had a heart attack because of you!"

"I apologize. I thought you saw me and only ignored me." Hongqi chuckled seeing her reaction. He catches her small hands and kissed it.

For some reason, Xiulan was slightly disgusted when he kissed her hands. 

"If I knew you came in, I would have kicked you out." She angrily pouted and whisked away her hands away from his lips. "Why are you still here? Aren't you supposed to be in your office now?"

She doesn't want to see him. After the stupid and cringey things he muttered last night, she can't trust him anymore. He might be nice but the words that comes out of his lips are not genuine. She must always mentally note that in her head.

Xiulan went towards her breakfast and before touching her food, she made a quick assessment on Hongqi's attire for today. He was wearing black pants and black undershirt with blood red blazer. His hair was still disheveled since Hongqi left it like that. His stylist is in his company building so he must go to his office before his hair get styled. His face looks pale too from the lack of sleep, he somewhat resemble a dracula.

"Handsome but annoying." she savagely remarked in her head. She hated it that she's slightly attracted to him. This might be because they were always rolling on the sheets. She must do something about this. This is not normal ah!

"I was but I suddenly saw you here. Working so early and not eating is unhealthy." Hongqi nagged and went beside her. He checked what she was eating. He thanked himself for hiring Bai Rong, if he didn't hired her, this wife of his might be eating something unhealthy again.

"There's an emergency right now that I can't even have a break." Xiulan wanted to cry from this early mischief from her clients. 

Hongqi watches his wife's mixed expressions while she bites on her meal, she seems to be really stressed. He suddenly thought of the conversation he heard a while ago. Since he's the type that if something piqued his curiosity and irritation, he will immediately ask questions.

"I heard you were talking to someone a while ago. You were talking about divorce. Is it about us?" He probed his wife and intently waits for her answer. He really doesn't like what he heard a while ago.

Xiulan almost choke on her salad when she heard Hongqi's question. She aggressively coughed first to clear her throat before asking him. "You heard that?"

"I did. So what is it about?"

"No. We are never getting a divorce. Tell the Wen family to screw and find someone else as the Wen bride. They won't like it if I'm mad." Hongqi coldly said and he suddenly walked out of the room with loud steps like he was fuming.

Xiulan's gawked. She was so confused. "Why the fuck he doesn't want a divorce?! Am I really inevitably trapped with him?! Nooo!"

She didn't expect him to say that. "What the hell? I thought he loves that Lingyu woman? Don't tell me he's going to make that woman his mistress?" Xiulan gasps from her own conclusion. Her imagination is running wild.

She suddenly remembered those soap operas that her mother and sisters were addicted to watch during the afternoon. She can't believe she'll have her own soap opera moments in the future ah! 

Xiulan angrily clutched on her bowl of salad and her fiery eyes stared at the door like she was throwing daggers using her eyes.

"Hongqi, I may be kind all the time to you but infidelity is not on my list! I may not care about your long list of women before and even I really don't care if you try to cheat on me. But things changed. I am still human!" She angrily muttered and devoured the green leafy salad like a hungry rabbit.
