Xiulan watches her father's retreating back and she can't help but think deeper about his question.

"It's true, though. I like him as a family member..." Xiulan can't determine if this is a sibling, parental, or cousin level. But she thinks that he's by far important and part of the family.

She can't put the right word but she has 'unconditional love' for every family member. Just like what she feels for her bestfriend Wenhan. Does she need some wordy and deep reasons for this?
