The syndicate's name was different back in the 17th century, but due to their incredible oppression in Campania, they change the group's name to the region's name.

The Campania's main businesses are drug trafficking, racketeering, counterfeiting, money laundering, and lastly the war weapons.

Due to their promising craft and powerful explosives, this dangerous syndicate is on the list of untouchable people. As the number one source of war supplies, they pretty much aren't afraid of any of their big allies who try to betray them. After all, they can destroy them easily and quietly.

Ironically, the current or 200th boss, of this syndicate, Antonio Romano, actually lives a quiet lifestyle opposite to his business. He doesn't like to involve himself with the media or limelight either. 

Actually, he's very fed up and tired of this mafia and war games. He wants peace. No one knows that this is his hidden agenda to make this world a better place. By making powerful weapons, he can control these power-hungry people and slowly control or maybe kill them.

He can't find the right successor yet with the same worldly goals. Of course, he cannot ever reveal such a secret. If ever, his subordinates might see him as weak and will try to scheme. They are all thirsty for blood. If they find out this secret, they will cruelly disrespect him.

Currently, all the young successors-to-be are not worth it. All they do is flaunt their lavish lifestyle, bathe in designer brands, and abuse the family's power.

He's already 68 years old and he might die soon without even finding the right successor.

Not one candidate is not even good at weapon making. He considers them as imbeciles. Though they are smart when it comes to money-making, someone should at least took the opportunity to be good at weapons.

Since countries that are obsessed with war and weapons are their number one consumers, a successor must be knowledgeable when it comes to weapons. Most of these countries' taxes would go to their pockets instead of solving a country's poverty. 

In this modern age, most countries are just playing with big toys. There shouldn't be any war, but the leaders of each of these power-hungry countries would rather entertain themselves than check their country's dilemma.

Other than war freak territory leaders, there are also big businessmen who transact with them. Just like today, they have an important business meeting with one of China's billionaires.

Xing Hongqi never met the boss of this syndicate yet. Pretty much the big boss will never reveal himself to anyone unless huge money is involved. 

Since Hongqi is very much eager to do everything for his security company, he allotted billions just for this transaction, of course, add Han Pierre's dirty money as well.

Secretary Yang Bo's heart can't help but get nervous when they arrived at the mansion of the infamous Campania syndicate. Just like Chinese triads, there's a brotherhood ritual involved if they try to transact or form a bond with such a group.

His boss Hongqi might be a powerful man but he was never part of a triad. He may transact with them all the time but the fact that sacrificing a finger, getting a tattoo or even kill a close friend was too dire for Hongqi. He never wanted to be part of such a felony. True brotherhood can be attained without losing a body part or any lives.

The watchers outside and inside of the mansion gave off an eerie feeling and Yang Bo thinks that he's currently inside an action movie. He's been in multiple shady business meetings before but still, the creepy vibe from these people's killing intent auras was still too menacing for him.

Hongqi's calm demeanor slightly helped Yang Bo's internal panic. They are obviously outnumbered and he doesn't know what kind of miracle they need when the transaction starts to be haywire.

"The boss is waiting inside." the tall man with an eye patch informed. He opened the door for them and penetrated Hongqi's group with a threatening look.

Hongqi didn't bother giving a reaction. Yang Bo, still silently panicking, and the rest of Hongqi's group has that arrogant and threatening aura as well. Of course, they should not be scared. They are the elite and pioneer members of Hongqi's security team.

The room is very quiet and only the sound of a muttering machine can be heard. There are five other people inside which has that signature tattoo on different parts of their body.

They gave Hongqi's group the same indifferent expression. They knew about him and the transaction of this meeting. 

At the very center of the room, complicated-looking iron machinery was producing steam and the smell was too pungent. Secretary Yang Bo had to quietly cough due to the strong smell that entered his system.

"The child of the biggest narcotics business in the world contacted my assistant last night that you finally arrived. I didn't expect a righteous person to come and meet me. This is unexpected."

The old man behind the complicated machinery uttered and gave the group a sharp look. He was wearing a white laboratory coat, goggles, and gloves. He seems to be in the middle of experimenting with something.

Hongqi heard from Secretary Yang Bo that the big boss worked as a chemist for a big corporation before he became the 200th boss.

"Me and Han Pierre are good friends and business partners. Though my line of business tries hard to be on the legal side, still, a security company must need a good weapon to stay longer in the industry." Hongqi answered diligently. 

"Of course. Big groups who want protection will not want a weak service."

"Yes."

"I heard that you also met with that elite weapon maker in Japan. This is really fascinating. This line of business you're trying to create is marvelous. Protecting and ripping off at the same time the money of these oligarchs and rich baboons." the big boss pointed. He's genuinely impressed with this young man's ideas. 

He is extending his power in quite a complicated way but very effective. The big boss also heard before that this young man married an ex-general's daughter. This really intrigued him.

"Yes." Hongqi has seen this fascinated reaction from a lot of people he transacted with when it comes to his security company. This type of business is very expensive and real lives are at stake. Surely, only a few people will dare to create a business like this. But he has a lot of goals in life. With unlimited money and extending his power, he can do anything he wants in the future.

"China has been a very difficult country for me to transact with since the government is very strict, especially in the capital. Though some cities are very much controlled by oligarchs like you which is good news for me." the big boss sneered. He's very delighted with this new client. 

The Campania men were all slightly surprised to see their big boss smile. He rarely smiles these days due to the incompetent candidates for his successors and the on-going war in the middle east. 

They guessed that this transaction with this young billionaire will be a breath of fresh air and enjoyable for the big boss.

"The Han and Xing family are currently the top families in the oligarch hierarchy in China. As long as a war will not happen between China and any other country, I wish to make a business deal with the Campania group." Hongqi seriously stared at the big boss, insinuating that he's here for earnest work.

The old man smiled again. It's been awhile he made weapons to protect. "Very well. Make sure that any amount I'll be writing in this contract will arrive tomorrow morning in cold cash."

The old man went near Hongqi to shake his hands. "Young man, it's good that we met. Next time we meet you should bring your wife. Since you'll be staying here in Venice for a vacation, as a gift for this fruitful meeting, please ask anything to my secretary. We are gladly here to help."

"Sure. Thank you for your generosity." Hongqi answered with a smile as well.

Secretary Yang Bo felt a wave of great relief when he saw them shaking hands and smiling. It seems that the transaction is finished. They can now go home, eat, and celebrate. He was really nervous and stressed all throughout this meeting. 

"By the way, I heard from a reliable source that your family has been making weapons back in the days. Your family seems to be in a variety of businesses. Why are you not cooperating with your father? Just a curious question since I'm like in your father's position right now." the old man suddenly asked an intriguing question. He's solely asking this for personal affairs.

"I am actually cooperating with him by being a client or a consumer of my family's products. I am smart for investing in the right businesses and sitting on the throne while I wait for the money. I was never good at developing or creating a product. That is my reason why I withdrew my position as the next director. Though I am still the heir and the next owner of my father's share in the company." Hongqi explained. 

Not getting the director position doesn't mean that he will lose the rights of the company. When his father dies, automatically, his father's shares will go to him since that's written in his will. He can assign another person to be the director. It's not in his plan to be the leader of a big corporation. His father seems to be fine with this plan.

Right now, Hongqi "owns" a lot of businesses but he's not the director. The only company that has his name as the director is his show business company.

"I see…." the old man touches his jaw and he looks like he was thinking deeply. Shareholders are not applicable to getting the next position as the big boss in a mafia, so Hongqi's answer didn't help him one bit. 

"Alright. Thank you for the info." the old man patted Hongqi's back and lead him to the door. "Remember, just contact my secretary."

When Hongqi's group left the suffocating mansion, Secretary Yang Bo released a sigh of relief as soon as the car completely left the vicinity. He briefly turns around to look at his boss's currently doing. 

With his fast eagle eyes, he quickly put his attention back on the road and he can't help but frown when he saw his boss's phone screen browsing a page that contains wedding rings. He can't believe after that nerve-wracking meeting, his boss would quickly browse for wedding bands!
