I'm Guilty, My Beauty Chapter 90 Wedding Day

Beauty woke up early for her preparations.

When the makeup artist and hairdresser commenced, Beauty started to get nervous as she sat in front of the vanity wearing a bathrobe.

The beautician saw her agitation. "Please relax. Just let us do our jobs and everything will be fine."

"I don't' know. I just feel uneasy." She wiped her hands with a warm towel. "I hope nothing mishaps will happen."

"I do believe everything will go smoothly as planned, so don't worry."

"I hope so. I do hope so." She breathed deep then opened her eyes wide. "Is the weather okay?"

"Yes, in fact, there's no rain at all." The lady let her rest on an inclined chair.

Beauty closed her eyes then opened again. "Did it rain last night?"

"Yes, but it stopped hours ago." The beautician massaged her temples relaxing her muscles a bit.

"Is the garden muddy?"

"I'm not sure but I do believe it's not. There's a huge tent since yesterday."

"Oh, I forgot. Thanks for the reminder." She closed her eyes again. "Is..." Before she could continue, the lady hairdresser interrupted.

"Beauty, please stop this. Everything will be totally fine."

"Sorry, it's just...just they didn't allow me to see everything. So I felt unsure how things are going."

"Please stop worrying. Just relax and help us make you beautiful for this most important event in your life, your wedding. Just think of Clarence waiting for you at the altar." The two ladies massaged her arms and shoulders.

"Sorry, and thanks. I'll try my best to relax."

This time she loosened after a minute of breathing exercises and massage.

. . . . .

In Clarence room, he panicked.

"Where're my coat, cufflinks, and tie?" He rummaged his suitcases and still, the objects were not there.

"Oh my, I brought the wrong trousers." He pulled a black pair of pants. "Where's my wedding suit? What's wrong with me?" He sat, his palms covering his face.

He realized something after five minutes. "I'm a jerk. I brought the wrong suitcase." He changed clothes and went out with big strides.

He arrived at his destination. He knocked.

Clyde opened the door, yawning. "So early for you to be here. Why are you not preparing yet?"

"I need help."

"Come in, what's the problem?"

Claire was eating her breakfast outside the patio. She gave Clarence a chair.

"I brought the wrong suitcase."

"Meaning?"

"I left my wedding clothes at home."

"What? Oh my God, Clarence. We've been here for three days and you didn't even check." Claire laid her coffee on the table as she looked at her son.

"Mom, I know I'm wrong but please, help me."

"What do you have in your luggage?" Claire gave him a piece of pancake. "Eat while we think. Relax, we can surely find a way, or else we'll borrow from your cousins."

"I can't' do that, Mom." He closed his eyes. "I think I brought the clothes I used when we traveled to the States."

"You might have your formal suit there."

"I do have but not white and need washing."

"No choice, just wear whatever you have and no one will smell you or just spray some cologne. I have them." Clyde added with a laugh.

"Oh Dad, that's shameful. My wedding day, wearing unwashed clothes for a month."

His parents couldn't hold themselves anymore. They burst out laughing. "Hahaha, that's gross. A month? Why didn't you wash them?"

"I was busy as your driver, remember? I just forgot to pull them out for washing. No one bothered to check my suitcases anyway." He felt dismayed and wished to run out.

"Let me bring them to the laundry here. Hahaha, Oh my God. What a memorable wedding day." Claire's face was red and tears ran down her cheeks as she guffawed. She stood and went to the bathroom. "They have a drier, so it will be fresh and dry for an hour."

Clyde laid on the bed, his hands on his belly, laughing his heart out. "Don't tell me, you don't have your shoes and socks as well?"

"I have them. It was newly bought so it's still in the box." Clarence poured syrup on the pancakes. "Please, stop laughing, guys. I'm already ashamed for being careless." Clarence swallowed all the pancakes out of frustration.

"Let's go to your room," Claire called as she walked to the door wearing a red gingham dress and slippers.

Clyde gave his extra cufflinks and red tie.

. . . . .

Beauty looked at her reflection in the mirror. She couldn't believe she was wearing such stunning off shoulder diamond embroidered long wedding gown. Her loosed French braids started on top and ended in a desirable bun at the end with white magnolias.

She looked at her feet, making sure she was wearing her shoes. It was silver colored with diamonds at the front.

A tear was about to fall. "Oh no, don't cry now. Do that after the wedding." The beautician tapped a tissue under her eyes.

She smiled at their reflection in the mirror. "Sorry, and thank you for everything."

"Our pleasure to make you a beauty queen on your wedding day." The two smiled.

A knock on the door made them stop talking. Jenna came in with her lady in honor outfit, off-white spaghetti strap long dress with silver high heeled open shoes. She brushed a loose wavy hair on her face and moved it with the others that were simply laid at her back.

"Ready? Oh, you look gorgeous." She embraced and gave Beauty her flower bouquet of white and red magnolias.

"Thanks. I'm ready. You look stunning too. "

"Let's go. All are waiting."

. . . . .

As Beauty entered the tent, her parents greeted her. She looked past her entourage and saw the smiling, wearing a black coat and trousers, and a red tie Clarence.

"Huh? Why is Clarence wearing a different attire?" Beauty asked her parents.

Her father placed her hand on his arm. "Dear Beauty, forget about his clothes. Just focus on the wedding ceremony."

Bella giggled and gathered her daughter in her arms. "Just marry him with an open heart." She let go and held her daughter's hand.

"There's seems to be a story behind this." She smiled her sweetest.

The bridal march resonated in the tent. The guests stood and the three of them started walking.
