Three years ago, summer.
Jiang's Mansion was hidden beneath deep trees and heavy green shadows, people will not be easily spotted and since the bushes are high enough to be seen in corridors.
Standing behind the bushes Mu Ming Tang wore a light blue patterned silver top with pleated skirt, the two people across her were talking intently and did not notice her.
She was concealed in the deep shadow of mottled trees, if one do not look carefully it will not be easily notice. Just by looking, Mu Ming Tang knew judging by King Jun's happy face, he who lost his lover was now found. Even though he has always been wary, he didn't notice a person standing behind the bushes.
“Brother Ji, I was sorry for you back then, blame me for being deceived by a treacherous man and misunderstood you I even left my parents and ran away from home. Fortunately everything is fine for you this year, otherwise I really. . . .”
The woman in a green dress suddenly choked and couldn't speak, looking at her she didn't wear any make up or any flashy clothes. At first glance her looks are ordinary but the more you stare at her the prettier she became. She has big eyes, high nose bridge, and she look a little stubborn, but looking at her teared eyed face and how hard she's trying to keep the tears from falling is especially distressing.
Xi Xuan Ji felt distressed, he couldn't help but take a step closer, holding the arms of the woman in front of him obviously trying to embrace her but held back, he didn't dare to offend this beautiful woman.
“Ming Wei, it's okay as long your back. The position in Jiang family has been reserved for you over the year as long you come back with me nothing will change.”
Tears fell of the woman called Ming Wei,

Xie Xuan Ji seemed to be anxious and took another step forward,
“I said that as long as you come back, I'll always be here. The engagement was suppose to be postpone but because the imperial decree had been announce to the world, we could not defy it, so uncle Jiang had to claim a daughter outside and take your place. But now your back, who can replace you? You're the real daughter and what fake is fake, Princess Ji will always be you”
“But I was taken away by the Rong's and my whereabouts are unknown for a year. The royal family values chaste, I know I am still clean but how can other believe it? If I marry you wouldn't it cause to be laughed at by the others?”
Jiang Ming Wei seemed to be ashamed and embarrassed when she said that and couldn't help lowering her head revealing her neck.
Xie Xuan Ji was very happy hearing it, he was always calm and confident but now he couldn't help but laugh and almost wrapped Jiang Ming Wei into his arms.
“Great, Ming Wei do you know how happy I am when I heard what you said just now? You don't belong to any man, you are still pure and I am ecstatic. Don't worry, no one will know about your disappearance for one year except you, me, Madam Jiang and Uncle Jiang. You just need to worry about us getting married”
Hearing Xie Xuang Ji's words Jiang Ming Wei's face turned red, dyeing both of her cheeks, but her smile faded suddenly she seemed to think of something and she gently pushed Xi Xuan Ji away.
“Brother Ji, I am very touch by your feelings for me, but now I am no longer worthy, the princess you never got past the door became someone else*, she is well behave and filial than me, she will not anger my parents like me. When my parents adopted her because, she must be more considerate than me and more suitable as a daughter. Now that the engagement was announce I should learn from her and walk away. Me being here will only delay your marriage but also upset the second lady.”

“Ming Wei, what are you talking about?”
Xie Xuang Ji said coldly and without hesitation.
“I never had any feelings for her, I have always regarded her as your stand-in, and the same is true for Uncle Jiang and them. If she didn't look much like you how could she have entered the doors of Jiang house with her humble refugee status? She was originally just a refugee and enjoyed a year of wealth in Jiang's family which is already a great fortune. She knows it's okay to be grateful but if she can't figure out her identity and dare to target you, I will not let her go.”
Jiang Ming Wie's tears are on her eyelashes, the eyes that have always been strong are filled with tears threatening to fall again,
“Brother Ji…”
“Ming Wei”
Xie Xuan Ji was heartbroken by her appearance and couldn't help but hug her tightly,
“It's fine if you come back. Uncle Jiang and I have been waiting for you for a year, and now it's time for everything to return back to its rightful owner”
