Chapter 1437: Chapter 1439: Dragon Palace Treasure Chapter 1437: Chapter 1439: Dragon Palace Treasure Song Jian felt as though he had entered a time passage, surrounded by dazzling, multicolored lights. A mysterious force enveloped him and propelled him forward. When he attempted to control his body, the force gradually increased, always maintaining control over him.
After trying for a while, Song Jian gave up resisting and let the force carry him onward.
In this time passage, there was no concept of time. Song Jian didn't know how long he had been flying, but the Time Law seal on his chest occasionally sent a burning sensation his way, as though something was being absorbed. However, when he opened his personal attribute interface, Song Jian couldn't see any changes, so he could only temporarily give up.
He didn't know how much time had passed when a light cluster that looked like an exit appeared ahead. Wrapped in the mysterious force, Song Jian flew toward the light. As he drew closer, the cluster grew larger, originally the size of a fist and growing to a huge portal over several kilometers in diameter by the time Song Jian approached. In front of it, Song Jian was as tiny as a speck of dust.
Without a moment's hesitation, Song Jian charged into the light cluster. In an instant, a massive flood of information poured into Song Jian's mind like a tidal wave. This vast stream of information flooded his brain as if a red-hot iron rod had been fiercely thrust into his head.
With a muffled grunt, Song Jian's face showed a hint of pain. However, his spirit attribute was now as strong as that of a Legendary Realm warrior, so he could still bear the influx of such an extensive stream of information. If it were an ordinary person, their head would probably burst open like a watermelon.
“Even other disciples would faint from the pain if they were infused with such vast information,” thought Song Jian. The degree of pain was not something a third-tier warrior could withstand.
Soon, a series of images began to appear in Song Jian's mind. The scenes he saw now were almost identical to those he had glimpsed in the fortune vortex portal at the Imperial Sword Sect square, but they were much more vivid, as if the resolution had suddenly jumped from high definition to ultrhigh definition.
Following the successive glimpses of battling scenes, a blue planet appeared before Song Jian, and he was like a meteor hurtling toward that planet.
On the vast lands below, countless strong warriors fought fiercely, spilling blood on the ground. A variety of powerful martial arts and magic unfolded, moving mountains and filling seas with their might, changing the landscape of the earth rapidly.
Just then, meteors with long tails appeared in the sky, hundreds, perhaps thousands, like a meteor shower scattered across the vast lands.
At this moment, Song Jian was an inconspicuous meteor among them. As he drew closer and closer to the ground, he found that he could start controlling his body again, and the mysterious force began to fade as they descended to the land.
Only when Song Jian had fully regained control did he realize that he was plummeting toward a vast sea.
“Is this also a battlefield? What a strong stench of blood!” Song Jian frowned slightly. He was still a few hundred meters from the sea surface but had already smelled a strong scent of blood. However, the surroundings were eerily quiet–it seemed like he had come to a battlefield where the fighting had ended.
With a thought, his flying sword rose into the air and positioned itself under Song Jian's feet. Originally falling toward the sea, Song Jian drew an arc in the air and, skimming the surface, flew toward the source of the strongest blood scent.
The sea surface was littered with bodies. These bodies had fish-like heads, ugly and fierce, yet with human-like torsos, though they were quite short, seeming like human children aged around thirteen or fourteen.
“The Sea Clan…” Song Jian thought to himself. The Sea Clan was also present in the game world and was a large group with over a hundred subtypes. The Sea Clan in front of him resembled the Mermaid Clan in the game world to a significant degree.
However, the Mermaid Clan in the game world would only live near freshwater rivers and never appeared in the sea. But here, within a thousand-meter radius, floated the bodies of the Mermaid Clan.
Just then, Song Jian suddenly felt as if someone was spying on him, and a sense of danger emanated from the vast sea beneath his feet. Whoever could give him a premonition of danger must have definitely reached the Legendary Realm.
Song Jian's thoughts stirred, and his flying speed suddenly increased as he shot straight up into the sky. The next second, a massive shadow leapt out from the sea, almost biting at the spot where Song Jian had been just moments before with its vicious, 180-degree gaping mouth. Torrents of seawater flowed towards the beast's mouth as the corpses of dozens from the Mermaid Clan were swallowed into its belly.
“A sea beast of the Legendary Realm?” Song Jian looked down at the giant sea beast, over thirty meters in length, and couldn't help but tighten his grip on the Sky-breaking Sword in his hand.
This was the first monster he had encountered since entering the secret realm. Lucky for him, it was only at the Legendary Realm. Elsewhere, creatures of the Legendary Realm were known as King Level BOSSes, terrifying beings indeed. But here, their strength was considered slightly below average.
Just as Song Jian was preparing to slay the BOSS in front of him, a thundering boom suddenly sounded in the distance. A dazzling white light shot up from the sea's surface, soaring into the heavens like a pillar connecting earth and sky, standing tall there.
“That is…” Song Jian turned his head towards the beam of light, as if he remembered something, and took out the little booklet about the secret realm that Xing Ling had given him before entering.
Before entering, Song Jian had only casually glanced through it, but he had an impression of this pillar of light–the booklet seemed to contain a description of it!
“Dragon Palace Treasure!” Song Jian flipped through the booklet, his eyes lighting up. He looked up at the pillar of light, his eyes filled with excitement.
Actually, the Starry Sky Ten Thousand Races Secret Realm is just a segment of time extracted from the river of time, a piece of history that repeats itself in an infinite loop. Seen from the outside, it appears like a mirage. Unlike other secret realms which are real, where treasures obtained within can be brought back to the game world, the items of the Starry Sky Ten Thousand Races Secret Realm cannot.
However, that's not to say that the Starry Sky Ten Thousand Races Secret Realm is of no value. On the contrary, its value is immense!
The Starry Sky Ten Thousand Races Secret Realm is rife with battle, where entrants can join in to gain combat experience. In this secret realm, Legendary creatures are commonplace, and demigods are as common as dogs, naturally leading to an abundance of Martial Arts Secret Scrolls, from the Legendary to the Ascended Realm. Though not effortlessly obtained, they are much more accessible than in the game world.
Even though items from the secret realm cannot be brought back, they still exist there, and can be studied or even deconstructed. The bodies of the Starry Sky's mighty beings can be dissected at will. For some, these discoveries hold much more value than any equipment or treasure.
In fact, when the secret realm opens, all the treasures within are unlocked. The Dragon Palace Treasure is one of the least eye-catching because it mostly contains various weapons and equipment that cannot be taken out of the secret realm. Only those with a crafting side business would be interested in this treasure.
But for Song Jian, the Dragon Palace Treasure was of far greater interest than to anyone else because he had a battle pet from the Dragon Clan!
“In the Dragon Palace Treasure, there's not only a wealth of weapons and equipment, but also a considerable number of Dragon Clan combat skills!” Song Jian said with a smile. He thought for a moment, and his figure turned into a lightning bolt as he flew towards the distant pillar of light.
