Seeing Song Jian accept the Abyssal Pearl, a crafty smile spread across Nathael's face. Enshrouded in black fog, Song Jian was unable to detect his expression.

“Excellent, you have gained my friendship!” Nathael said with a pleased smile. “My name is Nathael, Guard Chief under the Abyss's ninth demon lord! Human, I look forward to our next meeting!”

After speaking, Nathael's figure slowly faded away from Song Jian's sight. The swirling black fog appeared as though it had never existed, not leaving even the slightest trace of how it had appeared or departed. This brought Song Jian's vigilance to its maximum!

“Such a terrifying being is not my match for now, but since it's an Abyssal creature, it probably will happen as it said–we will meet again soon. I must improve my own strength more quickly!” Song Jian's face was grim, and he felt a sense of unease.
