After moving into the room the Queen prepared, Liliana never saw the King even once .
There were apparently three palace guards guarding outside day and night .
According to the attendants, the Queen even created an iron fortress for her safety .
Even though she knew she wouldn’t be attacked by the King, she was still scared and hid in the closet at any sounds she heard in the middle of the night .
Liana wasn’t just scared of the King, she feared the child in her stomach .
To be more accurate, she wasn’t scared of the child in there, she was scared that she wouldn’t be able to love this child after it was born .
She wanted to love the child in her stomach like how her parents loved her; or how she loved her brother as if he were her child . But if the child resembled the king, she was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to love her child with all of her heart .
The child in her did nothing wrong .
She knew that .
Even though she knew this, she couldn’t let go of the unease and fear .
She was shameful of herself and felt sorry for the child in her as tears soaked her face once again .
『I started thinking about dark stuff again . Instead of crying every day, I should think about the future . 』
Though she still couldn’t stop thinking about sad thoughts, Liliana started to think about the Queen’s proposal .
She was thankful for the Queen’s proposal .
She could separate from the King and live closer to her father and brother .
Her child would also belong to the Earl Family and she wouldn’t have to worry about not being able to love him .
Since the Queen trusted the Earl of the bordering territory, the King wouldn’t lay a finger on her .
She saw no reason to object to these conditions .
