As Cheng Lang lifted Xing Shu's chin, he noted that the marks on her cheek had disappeared. He asked curiously in a low voice, “What's with the smile?”

Xing Shu could not remember her reply; she was lost in the throes of passion. The crackling sound of burning wood rang in her ears, and flames of various shapes danced in front of her eyes. The pain gradually disappeared, replaced by an indescribable numbness. As she lay exhausted under Cheng Lang after it all, she thought she heard him say softly, “Thank you for your hospitality.”
