Blood soaked every inch of the ground once trodden by living feet.

The Bloodline's main enemies had long since lost the will to resist, and untold numbers of Beastmen threw down their weapons and armor, frantically running outside the Dwarf Valley.

They were unable to stop these fleeing Beastmen; there were simply too many, and the Bloodline's sparse numbers couldn't keep up.

The steep spire of the street corner cross clock was blown apart, leaning against another four-story building made of gray wooden stones; the bell clanged dully against the wall whenever the wind blew.

Streets in rows were destroyed, and under many collapsed buildings, several pale arms stretched out from the debris and wood, blood slowly seeping from underneath the ruins — life was always so cheap in war.

The remnants of meals and rubble filled each street, everything speaking to the war's cruelty and indifference.

But, this was for the losers.

For the victors, they would reap all the sweetness of victory.

Lide stood on one of the city's streets that hadn't been utterly destroyed, looking at the largely collapsed city with a calm expression.

As if all of it had nothing to do with him, the orchestrator.

Magic Language Bats still searched the skies, guarding against the enemy's return, and Bloodline members were tying up Beastman prisoners who hadn't died.

Such was war, Lide thought, his deep gaze complex. The benevolent do not lead troops, the kind do not manage wealth; although he had experienced several wars, this scene of utter destruction still left him somewhat sentimental.

“Perhaps, this is sentimentalism; damn it, we won the fight and here I am mourning the spring and grieving for autumn…” Lide harshly criticized himself.

“Ancestor, the Beastman King has awoken, and the Dwarves are also seeking an audience with you.”

Not far away, Stanley came forward with an excited expression to report.

His eyes, fixed on Lide's profile, were filled with admiration.

Under Ancestor Crown's command, they had won a significant victory, a historic and glorious one.

They had eradicated a Beastman Tribe with tens of thousands of soldiers in one night, capturing a level 16 Werewolf and a powerful level 18 Beastman King.
