Shen Yin found the voice familiar. She could not restrain her curiosity and leaned closer to Lian Jing's phone to hear it better.
But Lian Jing misunderstood. He placed the phone flat between them and the screen lit up automatically. The words ‘Yun Shan' appeared clearly on the screen.
What a small world!
From Zheng Ling's gossip about Yun Shan in the office, she already knew that Yun Shan had a very powerful sugar daddy. She thought that it was Lu Chen. She did not expect it to be Lian Jing!

“Okay, let's go now.” Lian Jing hung up. Afraid that she would change her mind, he picked up the IV pole with the IV drip bag hanging on it.
On the other end of the line, Yun Shan looked at the phone in shock. She called him again in disbelief, but Lian Jing hung up on her.

Shen Yin looked at Lian Jing's swift and decisive expression and hesitated. “Why don't you wait for me to finish my drip?”
“Are you having second thoughts?” Lian Jing stared at her dangerously, he gripped the IV pole tightly and refused to let go.
“No,” Shen Yin said slowly. “I was just wondering if it would be rude for me to meet your grandfather like this.”
For once, Lian Jing was convinced. He looked at the almost empty drip bottle and sat back in his chair. “Then let's wait.”
He suddenly thought of something and teased her with a smile. “Why did you suddenly agree? Is it because you heard a woman call me?”
“Don't flatter yourself.” Just as Shen Yin took out a bag of snacks, Lian Jing grabbed it. He casually distributed the snacks to the children nearby and then stared at Shen Yin thoughtfully.
“There's nothing going on between that woman and I.” Lian Jing was silent for a moment before he suddenly said this without rhyme or reason. As if Shen Yin cared.
She sat a little farther away, feeling uncomfortable. Her voice betrayed no emotion. “It's none of my business.”
Lian Jing lowered his head sincerely and said in a much gentler tone, “I just wanted to tell you in order to avoid unnecessary trouble in the future.”
There was a lot more to that statement.
Shen Yin picked up the most important thing and asked, “What future? Our future is that once I meet your grandfather, you can completely vanish from my sight.”
When he heard Shen Yin mention “our”, Lian Jing's heart skipped a beat before he heard the latter half of Shen Yin's infuriating sentence.
Lian Jing's expression darkened. Coincidentally, Zhong Xin arrived with their takeout dinner from a restaurant, so he did not say anything else. But his good mood had evaporated.
He took the food boxes from Zhong Xin and looked at the dishes inside before handing them to her with satisfaction. “Let's eat.”
Shen Yin only had one free hand. She awkwardly gestured to Lian Jing to put the food on her lap. She could just about manage to eat with one hand.
But Lian Jing ignored her look.
Lian Jiang instructed Zhong Xin to deliver the food to his grandfather. Then he ignored her, opened the box and scooped up a mouthful of fragrant meat with rice, and brought it to Shen Yin's lips.
