The bounty on Odom was 100,000 gold coins. And if the bounty hunter was able to obtain his head, he could ask for additional rewards too.

Altaic knew that the chances to kill Odom would become rarer, and such an opportunity may not present itself again. He decisively chose to join the dark warlock.

"Is it important information, my Lord?" Lautner curiously asked.
"Take a look at the scroll yourselves while I contemplate!" William waved his hand to send out the scouts to watch the surroundings. The army would take a rest.
"We can't continue with the war." The Temple Messenger shook his head. He had read the news, and believed that the footprints were from the reinforcements for Devil's Den.
The Temple of Light had suffered serious casualties recently. If the Temple Knights of the City of Dawn were to suffer the same fate, then the Temple Messenger would be severely punished.
Odom remained silent. He felt there was an ambush awaiting the army, and it could be fatal. He felt the ominous sign hanging above his head.
While the others were engaged in furious discussions.
They explored the merits of attacking and retreating.
Even Sia who was normally quiet also gave her opinions…
Finally, the consensus was to retreat. Even though the expedition would be a failure, they had not suffered any casualties. The honor points of the Dawn Army would not drop too much in the eyes of the residents. The commoners would not grumble to the Lord either.
