The guards were taken aback. An elderly voice had filled their ears. But when they looked at everyone, nobody else seemed to have heard the voice.

One of the guards smiled and opened the door. He led William inside, but he was puzzled. It was not Princess Annie's voice. It was the voice of the Great Elder who informed them.

Both of them entered the interior of the Moonlight tree.
