Energies could be divided into several groups based on their rarity, strength, potency and other things. The first category is so-called common ones, which were Mana, Qi, Divine Power or Psionic Power. Even though they are common ones, that didn't mean that they are weak. Anything if cultivated properly and diligently could reach great heights. It was just like that in their most basic form they weren't that strong compared to other groups and needed to be cultivated diligently.

Energies like Mana and Qi could be found in most planes and worlds, it was the most common energy that appeared through Endless Void. Even though it was the most common one, it had probably the greatest versatility and usage. Also, it had great potential and power if cultivated properly. Divine Power on the other side, belonged to the various Celestial Races or so-called God-Races. In regard to God-Race, they weren't God-Ranked Cultivators, but were descendants of one with pure bloodline and were 100% race of God-Ranked Cultivator. Thus inheriting some of the abilities. Of course, then there were God-Races which cultivated something called Faith Power, which was generated by believers who prayed to the god. Psionic Powers came from the mind and came hand to hand with the evolution of the brain.

The second group were very rare, called Heavenly Energies. They were mostly various variants and mutations of Mana and Qi, like Demon Qi, Fire Qi or mutations of mana. To this category belonged also, Elemental Powers like Fire Energy, Water Energy or Lightning Energy. Mana and Qi could mutate to various forms and variations if they are combined with something else, like some element or are under influence of some negative feelings, that was how the Devil Qi was created at first. Their versatility was one of the greatest advantages which these energies could give to a cultivator.

Finally, the third group was the most unique. Also nicknamed as Primordial Energies or Superior Ones. In this category were Destruction Energy, Void Energy or Shinsoo that was filling the Tower of God. These energies were even in their most basic form, extremely terrifying, not talking if someone managed to cultivate them to the great heights. Aside from their rarity and strength in basic form, they had several great disadvantages. For example, because something like Destruction Energy was extremely terrifying even in the most basic state, it was very very hard to learn how to use it properly and not losing control. Also, to increase the capacity if one is cultivating one of these energies is an awfully annoying and tiresome task. The most common method to increase energy capacity is to find energy crystal belonging to the same type and just absorb those energies inside the crystal into Dantian.

When talking about energies, there was of course Life Force, which was also, one of the most unique ones. It was pretty common, perhaps the most common one as everything which is living has Life Force. It was just extremely hard to manipulate and use it in some way. There were, of course, some cultivators who were adepts in manipulating the Life Force, but they were too few of them, but those who were, they were Sages, often said unequaled under heavens and were extremely terrifying existences.

Then the Zergs started expanding rapidly. Soon enough they devoured both protoss and humans and their home galaxy. All Zergs then were able to use basic psionic powers and were constantly evolving. After conquering their native galaxy they left and searched for other materials to achieve perfect evolution. Under the leadership of their new Overmind, Zeroth, they even found species who created original Zerg.

Xel'naga.

After the great war, with Xel'naga, Zerg Swarm managed to win, even though it was very close. Then the expansion of the Zerg Swarm was practically unstoppable. They conquered countless universes and destroyed many species. Then they achieved the first step, which was the creation of perfect humanoid Zerg. Currently across the multiverse was known, if someone saw humanoid Zerg he should run.

Then they found similar insectoid species, named Tyranids. After Zerg Swarm defeated and devoured Tyranids, their might grew exponentially again. Though defeating them wasn't hard, but just by devouring very very similar species they obtained great benefits and soon conquered the whole Multiverse.

The multiverse was named as the Heart of the Swarm.
