They came there in the shadows and started watching the event. Both Ayato and Kaneki were completely surrounded by several ghoul investigators holding their quinques in hands and in combat stances.

Leading them was Special-Class Ghoul Investigator Kuroiwa and behind him were standing Akira Mado and Kotarou Amon. Ayato and Kaneki were also in the combat-ready position, with their kagune already out and ready to kill at any moment.
