Hey Let's Go Destroy Another World Chapter 4 part2

Deciding to shelve that problem for the time being, Ruito checked the pockets of the clothes he was wearing.

This was because the fact that his clothes were changed meant that the clothes he was currently wearing should have been prepared by Roge, and as long as Roge didn’t irresponsibly throw him out into the world, he thought that there should have been some kind of assistance from her.

If not so, Ruito is in a situation where he only has the clothes on his back, and on top of that even though he was penniless he’d have to live in this world from now on, and he’d be unable to live a decent lifestyle.

That’s why he acted, thinking that he might have some spare change or something, but after a while of groping about his body, Ruito noticed a folded up piece of paper in his coat’s chest pocket.

When he thought that this world might possibly already be circulating paper bills he pulled them out, but when he opened the folded paper it became about the size of A4 paper.

On the paper, written in fine print, Ruito briefly looked over it and became absorbed in reading it, but he eventually made a sour expression, refolded the paper, and tucked it away in the chest pocket it was in originally.

The paper that started off with the sentence, , seemed like something written by Roge.

While sending words of gratitude for coming to her world and blessing his future destinations, what was written on the paper were to make sure that Ruito wasn’t troubled to a certain extent, some cash, changes of clothes, and materials.

And it was written that in order to store them away, there was a magic tool with a function to store things away, and for Ruito who didn’t have much knowledge about this world, she prepared a tool to compensate for that knowledge.

Although her kindness was certainly something Ruito was thankful for, Ruito’s current location and the method to confirm his Gift weren’t touched upon at all, and while feeling a little disappointment, Ruito released a sigh.

However, at this point not being able to do anything about what the Goddess wrote, and wondering about where the Goddess’ consideration was directed at, once again feeling around his body, Ruito noticed that the sensation of the chest pocket he just tucked the paper into a moment ago had changed.

When he looked inside his chest pocket to found out what happened, the paper that should’ve been tucked away had disappeared, and seeing that there was a ring and a monocle in its place, Ruito took those two things out and gazed at them.

There was nothing like an instruction manual that taught him how to use them.

Space

“For now, should I try putting them on?”

Space

The ring is something you put on your finger, and the monocle are something you put over your eyes.

Because he there were no other ways to use them, Ruito decided to put them on.

For the monocle, since Ruito didn’t have any carved features he was worried about whether he could put them on, but when they touched his eye area, although there was no place for them to get caught on, they curiously tightly settled into place.

When he did that, as if he knew how to use them from the beginning, Ruito recalled the information on how to use them inside his head.

According to it, the ring was a tool with a storage function, and the monocle was a tool that supplemented his knowledge.

Following the usage method, when Ruito shook his left index finger which had the ring on it, a semi-transparent window opened from an empty space, and showed a list of stored materials.

Looking over the list, it seemed like Roge thought of how Ruito could live relatively easily, and there were several sets of men’s clothes and a considerable amount of preserved food and water.

Possibly having expected some emergency situation, a sleeping bag and tent were properly inside.

In addition to that, 10 silver coins were prepared as money on hand.

Although Ruito didn’t know the value of currency of this world, the fact that she didn’t prepare anything like high value gold coins gave him a favorable impression.

It is commonly misunderstood that with currency, the higher value the better,  currency with too high of a value is conversely hard to use, and would just be one more thing to worry about.

If it’s to the extent of a silver coin, no matter what it’s hard to think of it as so valuable that your eyes would jump out, yet it isn’t a cheap currency like copper coins, so it was probably chosen due to being easy to use and somewhat valuable.

For the monocle, it was something you put over the left eye, and it was the type of tool that exerts its effect just by putting it on.

It seemed like the monocle possessed both a simple appraisal and a GPS-like function that showed your position on a map of this world, and was a considerably high performance tool.

Moreover, it was attached with a function that made it possible to change the scaling by just thinking to, so Ruito decided to honestly thank Roge for preparing this for him.

After all with this, it wouldn’t be wrong to think that getting lost in this world would be almost impossible.

He’d be able to get to his destination without futilely walking around the area, being found by a villager from some village, and asking where the big cities are.

After giving thanks to Roge for a while, Ruito decided to immediately look for his location and where the closest village or town was.

As a result, he found that around 50 kilometers away from the forest he was dropped in, from the map’s representation, there was a somewhat large town.

Although it was a slightly long distance to go on foot, if he thought about it as a full marathon from his previous world, it wasn’t anywhere he could reach.

While he knew that there were many other small village-like settlements on the way there, but since Roge said that this world was like medieval times, he found it hard to believe that they’d welcome outsiders like him, and rather, they’d think of him as some suspicious man and harm him,

Since it was so dangerous, Ruito thought it’d be safer to aim for a big city, where outsiders wouldn’t stand out as much.

Space

“Whether I’m going to listen to the Goddess’ request or not, I want to gather information after I rest my back somewhere.”

Space

Ruito decided on his objective, that the first things he should guarantee are his safety, food, clothing and shelter.

In order to secure those, he’d need a lodge or location that would serve as the basis of his lifestyle.

And in order to maintain that, he’d need to establish a way of getting cash.

Thinking so, after all Ruito thought it’d be optimal to aim for a developed city with lots of people rather than a small farm village.

Now that he had his objectives decided on he need only act, and leaving his monocle on his face, swinging his index finger and making the catalogue of stored items vanish, Ruito walked along the path projected by the monocle, and suddenly crouched down.

Space

“I heard something.”

Space

In the forest that originally didn’t have any paths, while keeping his stance low, Ruito started moving as quickly as possible.

Luckily, the forest didn’t have much deep undergrowth, so moving through the forest wasn’t that difficult for Ruito, and the forest itself wasn’t a very deep forest, and after a few minutes of moving he was able to reach the perimeter of the forest.

From there on was a plain, he could see some path that was likely the main road.

From the information projected by the monocle, Ruito understood that it was the path that led to the town he wanted to reach, but from the opposite side of that town, the identity of the sound he heard inside the forest became visible while raising a dust cloud.

Space

“A carriage……is that a horse carriage?”

Space

There was still considerable distance between the thing that was raising a dust cloud while running and Ruito, and although he didn’t know anything complicated, it seemed like with the carriage in the center, there were several tens of cavalry-like armed people around it.

Since they were moving at such a speed so fast he worried if the carriage would break, Ruito tilted his head, but understood seeing that the reason was because there was another horse carriage behind it raising another dust cloud.

Space

“It seems like they’re being attacked.”

Space

Compared to the carriage and cavalry running in front, the horse carriage approaching them from the back seemed to have considerably more numbers.

As Ruito lurked in the forest, he thought about the distance between him and the group, and looked up at the sky from behind the trees.

There was only one sun in the sky, and it was in a high position, so it seemed like there was still a good amount of time left until sunset.

However, the carriage and the horse carriage following after it are going in the direction that Ruito intended to go.

Like this, when Ruito got onto the main road, he’d definitely encounter both groups, and no matter how he thought about it, he couldn’t help but feel of it as a pain.

Space

“I guess I should just watch them.”

Space

He didn’t need to hurry, and in the worst case scenario it wouldn’t be too bad to stay overnight in the forest.

When he thought that, Ruito lightly caught his breath, and began to observe the two groups that were gradually approaching.
