He only married me to show her that he already moved on Chapter 38 - thirty-eight: They are now engaged

He inserted the ring on my finger and stand immediately. He lifted me by my waist and twirled me around while he's laughing and shouting 'yes and thank you' at the same time. When he put me down, he wiped those tears of pain and sadness from my eyes and face.

He hugged me tight and kissed me again, but this time I didn't wait for him to bite my lips just kiss him back. I kissed him already the moment he captured my lips. I kissed him back like I never felt a single pain. I showed him and to everyone what's the real emotion of a supposed to be bride.

"Thank you, love." he said after pulling himself back and kissed my forehead.

I nodded and smiled at him.

"I love you." he said looking to my eyes while cupping my both cheeks.

And there is again.. that look. The look on his eyes like he's pleading. And my stupid heart melt instantly just by looking at him.

"I love you too." I bite my lips as the stupid lone tear escaped from my left eye. And then he hugged me again.

When I looked back at the people in the table, they were still clapping their hands. I smiled at them, but when my eyes landed on Nancy's face, I scrunched my eyebrows. She's smiling and watching his brother as he accepts the congratulations and cheers of his family. But there's one thing I've noticed. Yes.. she's also smiling, but the smile on her face doesn't look like the smile of full happiness, and it doesn't reach her eyes.

When she noticed that I am looking at her, she smiled and immediately walked closer to me. She pulled me into a tight hug.

"Thank you, Madi."

I gulped after hearing her thank you. And then she wiped the now dried tear in my left eye.. and she smiled again.

"You really loved my brother. I can see it in your eyes." my breath stacked suddenly inside my throat.

"Are you a mind reader?" I tried to joke.

"No. I am an eye and emotion reader, Madi." my jaws dropped with her words and serious look on her face. "Just kidding!" she said after a while and God knows how I inwardly let out a sigh of relief.

"Of course, I can see it in your eyes and your tears. Those were the tears of happiness, right?"

"Huh? ahm..y-yeah. Those were tears of happiness.." I glanced at Gabriel ".. and love for your brother." and then I looked back to her.

She smiled. "I know." 

Her Aunts and cousins also congratulates me. While Aunt Cindy hugged me tightly and cupped my left cheeks.

"Thank you, Madi." I just smiled at her. And after a while, Gabriel's parents were also in front of me. Mrs. Wilsons also have dried tears on her eyes when she hugged me.

"Oh, my dear Madi. Thank you for coming into my son's life. Thank you for bringing back his smile and the happiness in his life. Thank you for being his sunshine, Madi."

"Mrs. Wils------ Ma, you don't really have to thank me. I just loved your son and his happiness is also mine."

She hugged me again. 

But then Mr. Wilsons, hold me in my shoulder. "Madi.. thank you for loving my son and accepting him despite his rudeness sometimes." we chuckled at his words. "But honestly, thank you for helping him back to his own self."

"Your welcome Dad." I smiled at him and he hugged me also.

"Ahem..." we all turned to look at Gabriel behind his father. "Can I now talk, hug and kiss my 'fiancee'?" he asked emphasizing the word fiancee.

And they all give way to him as he walked closer to me. I just scratched the side of my neck while looking at him.

"Hi love." I arched my eyebrow as my stupid heart couldn't help herself not feel the excitement inside although she knows that this is just an act. His hands encircled on my waist and I gasped when he pulled me with a slight force on to his body.

He brings his lips in my ear and lowly whispered.

"Thank you, love." 

"Your welcome, love. But I'm hungry. I can't stand here anymore and kissed you back when my intestines are screaming inside my stomach.. 'Madi.. feed me." 

They all laughed at my joke. Yeah, I just choose to express all of my feelings in a joke, so I can still explain to myself later.. that it's okay, it will be okay, just smile.. because I am 'Madi'. And you already know its meaning when I say I'm 'Madi'.. the ever confident, strong and beautiful Madi.

"Okay.. what are we waiting for? Let's eat. Gabriel, serve your 'fiancee' anything she wants." His mother said and then winked at me.

"Of course, Ma." he said smiling and pulled me back to where I sit earlier.

He pulled my chair and let me sit first. I can't help not to raised my eyebrow at him, remembering our first 'talk' in my restaurant. He didn't even pull my chair, instead he ordered me to sit down. And its the opposite of what he did right now. But like her mother, he also just winked at me. He sits beside me with a smile not leaving on his lips. He put on my plate almost all the kinds of foods in front of us, and when I noticed that, my mouth almost dropped on the table.

"Love, what are you doing?" I asked him, frowning.

"Giving you foods------oh I'm sorry!" so that means, he didn't know what he's doing?

Because of that, he earned laughs from all of the people around the table but I just shook my head.

"Gabriel, I just said serve your fiancee, but that doesn't mean, you're going to serve her to death!" Mrs. Wilsons glared at her son which added laughs from his cousins including me.

I help him get some foods from my plate and transfer it to his plate.

But we were about to start eating when a black Maserati suddenly pulled over next to Nancy's car. And since it's not having a tinted glass, we can clearly see the person inside of it. And a smile instantly crept on my lips when I recognized who was the owner of that car. It's Greg. But the question is.. what is he doing here?

"Gregy!" Nancy squealed in excitement and she immediately run towards her cousin.

When I glanced at Gabriel, he had a serious expression on his face. Aren't he feel happy because one of his cousin visited his family?

Both Greg and Nancy hugged each other and walked their way towards the tent. Gabriel's mother hugged him tightly.

"I missed you, Greg. How's Cynthia? I also missed her." she asked him with a smile on her face. As I remember, that was the name of Greg's mother.

"She's fine Auntie, and she misses you too." Greg smiled and his cute dimple shows on his face.

"Gregy boy!" Gabriel's father also hugged him. And all the boys on the table. It seems that Greg is really close to Gabriel's family.

"Gabriel!" 

Greg greeted Gabriel beside me and I glanced him. His face doesn't show any emotions just plain and serious. And I can't help not to ask myself.. are they also close or they have gaps with each other?

"Greg." he stands up and accepted Greg's hand. 

And then suddenly Greg turned to me.

"Hi, Madi." he smiled at me and I also smiled back.

"Hi, Greg." he kissed my cheek. 

And because I am busy smiling at him, I missed the hard glare that Gabriel gave to his cousin.

"How are you?" he asked me again.

"I'm fine. How about you?"

"Well, same as yours." and he gave me his boyish chuckled.

"You know each other?" Mr.Wilsons suddenly asked the both of us. And I was about to answer when Greg answered him first.

"Yes, Uncle Jonas. We met at WEC, she's Gabriel's assistant." he said not looking to him but to me. I crunched my eyebrows with his answer but he smiled and winked at me.

-'ohh.. okay..'-  I just muttered to myself. Maybe this is his way of keeping his promise to keep my secret.

"I see, because you two seems to know each other so well." Mr. Wilsons nodded his head.

"Okay, that's enough. We can continue this later. But let's eat for now." Mrs. Wilsons said gesturing us to sit down.

"Gregy, there's a vacant seat here." Nancy called him to sit beside her which is exactly in front of my seat. But then he happily obliged.

I was shocked when Gabriel pulled me and kissed me suddenly, not just a simple kiss but a hard one. What is happening to him? And when he pulled back, he smirked at Greg who is now sitting beside Nancy.

"Wow! W-What was that?" Greg asked in surprise, his eyes moving from me and to Gabriel.

"They're engaged." Nancy answered him.

"Ohh.. w-wow!" he said as if he can't believed of what he's heard.

And the man beside me... who kissed me suddenly, grabbed my hand under the table and brought it to his lips. And the diamond ring shines in Greg's eyes.
